We were in the beginning, but our possession waned later on
I think Rohr should switch the Formation to 3 - 5 - 2 in the 2nd Half, coz it seems only Echiejile is a natural FB, others are WBs.

Also we gonna need to control the Midfield to win this Match, I wouldn't mind sacrificing Moses for Awaziem to join the CBs, and Iwobi moves to the middle as an AM.

we are watching the same match. Factually only Balogun and Ndidi/Joel(both don dey fade sha) came for this match. To make matters worse we have covered a lot of KM, fatigue will be a factor in favour of the Poles come the second half
grin

Did we genuinely control the Game in the first Half?! Coz to me we controlled nada! We were poor with Possession, no cohesion, no tactical and swift movement of the Ball, except gragra Footie so far.

I wanted to add him but I want to see him for another 10 minutes before I make up my mind.
grin

I will rather prefer Ebuehi and Aina to replace Shehu and Idowu in the 2nd Half respectively! Idowu offered nothing positive attacking-wise, defensively he's also a suspect in the Match.

Ebuehi on for Shehu if he is fit enough for 45 minutes

Moses off for Musa as well. Maybe Kelechi will get in a free kick in his absence

Positives so far: The jersey grin
Ighalo, Ekong and Balogun are parts of the Positivity too.

I really don't know if I'm watching another Match entirely, cos I'm not impressed with the Team's Performance so far.

The passes and transition from Defence to Attack is damn poor. Also it's very Clear that Uzoho ain't the Messiah we are looking for!

Sir i think this is our 6th WC appearance so what are you suggesting?cos i know my people very well.
grin

Quarter Final at least. However if the Team fails to meet my Expectation, I won't crucify them or their Handlers, cos I've fully understood the Plans of Rohr for the Eagles.

Besides, how many of the Lads get World Cup Experience?! Though nothing is impossible, but it will be easier for Buhari to resign than Eagles to win the Cup, hence we should lower our Expectations on the Team to avoid severe Heartbreak.

are we hiring a mentor or are we hiring a coach that will make the team gel and perform well?

One question, it was Siasia that actually started this 'catch them young' campaign, he introduced Iwobi and Iheanacho and Shehu and Ekong etc etc, when he failed to qualify us for the Afcon did you back him?
grin

I was never against Siasia's Ideology and philosophy, and you will never see a Post of me going against him after missing out on AFCON Qualification.

In fact I have huge respect for him till now, and wouldn't mind if he's appointed to replace Salisu Yusuf.

My man am not talking about winning WC but solid performance from Rohr should do the talking of contract extension till 2023.
grin

Yes Boss..... solid Performance is needed but we shouldn't be more focused on the Scoreline but on the Team's Performance.

I know how average Nigerian thinks, but it does not matter if the Project is on Course - on the right Path.

We shouldn't put much pressure on him or his Team to win the Cup or surpass his Predecessors, rather cue into the Project and hope it succeeds.

Chairman i get your point but you know naija wella, anything short of good performance at WC forget it o.

Na only here we dey reason o,go to other thread on Eagles,Chei shame go catch you,see analysis upon analysis.

I think better for Rohr to have good performance at WC then contract extension to 2023 would not be an issue.
Boss..... it's all down to the NFF. I believe they ain't blind, and certainly aware of Rohr's Project. We should be realistic Sir, cos we can't win the World cup this Year.

Rohr is certainly building a Team for Qatar 2022, and I'm certain that the NFF is aware and supportive of the Project.

Mickael2:
quick question. if we have an abysmal world cup and exit at the group stage and then fail to qualify for the nations cup would you still subscribe to this vision 2023?
Yes..... I will. We are parading the youngest Team at the moment, and once they fully gel together - they would be unstoppable.

I'm convinced with the Unity and Spirit in the Team. They are more like Brothers, they genuinely love each other, and Rohr is more than a Coach to them, he's also a Mentor to some.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Oasis007(m): 5:14pm On Mar 23, 2018
The Lineup, if true, is fantastic. It's really a good Call by Rohr and his Crew. We do not need to play as Underdog, rather let's show the World what this Team is capable of.

Eagles were known for entertaining, dazzling Football internationally, and I am so much believing this Team gonna be exciting to watch on the Pitch.

Rohr's Contract should be extended till 2023, coz it's damn apparent he's building a formidable Team for the Country in the Future. I'm kinda believing Rohr is simply building a very solid and superb Team for the Future - catch them young Tactic.

Whatever happens tonight matters not, also whatever happens at the Mundial shouldn't be taken to the Heart. We should all believe in the Rohr's Project for the Eagles, coz with him in charge till 2023...... we may possibly win it in Qatar!

6 goals to Nil already with Bale scoring his first Hattrick for his Country as well as becoming the National Team highest Goal Scorer.

Mikel's absence is an opportunity for Rohr to try out, perhaps, Iwobi in the Hole. This is probably the last World Cup for Mikel in GWG, hence we should be preparing ahead.

Honestly, i ain't seeing his Absence as a Setback for the Team, rather a good Advantage for Rohr and Technical Crew to prepare a Team without Mikel.

I've been envisaging to see what Iwobi can offer as No. 10 for the Team, and I think the Opportunity has presented itself.

Some Dudes are very funny on this Thread. United Players are already accustomed to conservative Football. They are overly used to defensive Tactic, thus you can't expect them to play offensive football perfectly because of Two Days Training Session.

Mou was only looking for flimsy Excuse to exonerate himself. Moreso he subbed off Luke Shaw simply to make him a Scapegoat, coz I see nothing wrong the Lad did in the first Half of the Match.

How did he expect United Players to play fast attacking Football because of just two Days Training Session?! Did they build Rome in two Days?! It took Man City Players a complete Season to master Pep's attacking Philosophy, hence Mou is only fooling himself not us.

He does not want to be criticised, he believes he's the best and immune to making Mistakes, hence any Pundits that critique his Work or Tactic must be paid back harshly by him. Thank God the Season is almost end, so if he's tired of managing the Team, then I advise him to mutually renege his Contract at the End of the Season.

It's really gonna be more interesting and Intriguing as well. I'm ain't watching the Show because of a particular HM, rather to get entertained and fully enjoy my Subscription as well as the Fuel I'm burning for it.

Watch out for more Conspiracies and Dramas!

I am watching the same game.. Kante has not had one successful tackle.. Ndidi has had 8.

Going forward, Kante has been good but no way, he has been better than Ndidi.. It is not as if Chelsea were creating chances..
They are playing different Roles Sir. Ndidi is covering the Defence Line and he's doing the Job well, while Kante is a Link between the Defence and Attack for the Blues, and he has been outstanding too.
