SportsRe: Ranti Martins Soleye: A Promising Striker For Super Eagles? by oayombo: 11:24am On Jun 08, 2012
honeric01: What was written in her post that i didn't address?

Did i say no one else were scoring? i said if the league was that bad as painted by them, why are there no other players scoring similar goals like ranti? 26 goals so what? he scores 40 goals and you are talking about 26? 26 to 40?

in developed leagues, these scoring charts can also be seen. EPL with 26, 32, 35 bla bla bla.
She talked about the fifa ranking & d recent competition they played. Besides...get your facts right. Ranti scored 33goals in all competitions this season & not 40 like u claim. Odafe scored 27goals in all competitions too. Your observation was...if the league is shitty, why isn't any other foreigner scoring like he is & i just pointed out to u the case of Odafe.
SportsRe: Ranti Martins Soleye: A Promising Striker For Super Eagles? by oayombo: 9:33am On Jun 08, 2012
honeric01: Stop all these lies.. are the 60% home based eagles playing in any of the leagues you listed above?

He's not young, he's 25-26, married with a kid (according to him).

75% europe based? are you Keshi? so he's building a team by wasting time and resources when according to you only 25% from the HB is going to make it?

heresay, assumption and all that is not good and not healthy.

Keshi once picked a youth corper to play in the trials (SE), so if he thinks Ranti can fit into his plans, then who are you to say because he plays in India, then he's not good?

Before you posted yours, i already asked people who said he's scoring because the league is shitty, if the league is that shitty, why are other players, foreigners not scoring like himself in that same league?
So you don't think the other stuffs puplin mentioned are relevant? Ok...an average soccer pundit will name at least 6 foreign based players in super eagles starting 11. Your Ranti claims he's won everything with dempo since joining in 2004 & is looking for fresh challenges which could see him move to a club in kolkata..what kind of nonsense move is that? For your info, he's not the only foreigner scoring goals in India, Odafa Okolie scored 26goals too. Several other players are scoring too.

sample042: If am askd, i'l say dat d both platforms(java n symbia) are multitaskn o/s bt symbian s a more classical o/s in d sense dat symbians can allow multiple applicatns 2 run at a tym unlike java dat can only run one at a tym in exceptn of playn music whl d applicatn runs.
Sure dis helpd u?
Hey, don't get confused...both aren't 'multitasking' os..u can't multitask on a java phone, not even on a s40 device right now. That feature should be available with further upgrades on a s40..hopefully though.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 7:27pm On Jun 07, 2012
Judeoxide: way to go bro,, realy java is not my type even if its 5k i wount spend a dime on it...and who wants to compare java nd andriod??funny...android is even beter than symbian
Nobody here is comparing one operating system with another. The issue is the Asha range of touchscreens just announced.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 4:55pm On Jun 07, 2012
I wonder why Nokia keeps making all these s40 devices, don't they have enough of them already? The C5-04, C5-05 & C5-06 fall within the same price range and they have better specs, running on the s60 rel.5 platform.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 4:42pm On Jun 07, 2012
Frostyzone: Neither do I with your's. Read your post 3 times, and yet couldn't make sense out of it. It's like I'm talking A, and you are talking C!
What does being launched in major markets got to do with it being low end smartphone...? SMH.
Ehya, you're confused..ok, here's what i mean in simple pidgin...dem neva begin sell d fone anywhere in the world..not even the imitation, so it's not possible for me to have bought it. Lol
I wonder why u're answering him sef, he's obviously an ignoramus.
Lol....just trying to educate the lad, abi?
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 4:14pm On Jun 07, 2012
Frostyzone: Ouch! That's a low blow.
Sure, I do. Go to any place that sell mobile phones, you will find scores of them. One thing they all have in common is the touch screen capability. They are also very cheap. And one other thing; they are mostly manufactured in China.
That's what a low end smart-phone means, Bro.
Btw, before X6 which I'm currently using was made available to the market, there were already many chinese imitation being sold to unsuspecting victims. So your theory doesn't really matter in Nigeria.
The joke's on you.
A low end smartphone according to u is a very cheap touchscreen device mostly made in China....lol #issokay
Are u also aware that most phones are launched in major markets first?? So it'll always take a while for u to see them in the Nigerian market. Actually, i don't get the sense you're trying to make with your posts.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 3:31pm On Jun 07, 2012
Frostyzone: Coming to your fellow java phone user's aid, abi? Stop defending your actions by reeling out the merits, then backing it up by saying you read it from the web.
Just admit that you bought one thinking it's S60 phones only to discover it's a mere java. And now consoling yourselves by pointing out the crappy merits!
The phones have only being announced, that means they aren't available for shipping yet. I'm sure you don't understand what a low end smartphone means. Be informed

Are u that easily disturbed? Anything makes the front page lately.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 2:47pm On Jun 07, 2012
Frostyzone: You are talking as if you 'd already bought one. SMH.
What a pity.
Haba, he was just responding to the specs sheet..you don't need to own a phone to know what it does. The specifications are available online, even for yet to be released phones.
I thought the latest Nokia models are supposed to be running on microsoft Os.
Yes they are, but the asha range is a low end smartphone...Not every consumer can afford the Lumia range.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 1:28pm On Jun 07, 2012
phemi3: Apart from the 1000mhz proccessor speed (nokia 306) which is a big plus 4d phone. It has low quality product as 4me. Things like:
Low pixel densitiy screen, below 180ppi (155 ppi)
Slow data means slow Internet browsing (EDGE, GPRS)
Low resolution display (240 x 400 pixels
Resistive touchscreen technology means its
display is less sensitive than you would like it to be
Lacks global positioning system (GPS)
Too little RAM memory (32 MB RAM)
Low-resolution camera (2 megapixels) The camera lacks autofocus Lacks an ambient light sensor for automatic screen brightness adjustment
Lacks a proximity sensor that turns the display оff during a phone call Device
For that price, u don't expect the best. Besides, the specs for the 311 is still fair...and i think that's the only one with a capacitive screen.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 1:12pm On Jun 07, 2012
civac: Another models for nigerian market.why s40 platform?
That's the only platform you can get from Nokia for that price range.
PhonesRe: Nokia Asha - Cheap Touchscreen Phones - Launched by oayombo: 1:11pm On Jun 07, 2012
mjconcept: Symbian is an operating system,
providing the native software
platform of the phone. Java is an
virtual machine powered
application framework that runs
on top of the operating system
and, at least in theory, allows
developers to design applications
that can run on any machine,
irrespective of the underlying OS.
An application written directly for
the OS (be it Windows or
Symbian) is faster and more
powerful (access to more low
level features) but will only run
on the system for which it was
designed. A Java application is
slower, more limited in features
and, despite of the initial
promise, will not run on too
many systems either.
Symbian phones are more
preferable to java phones
because of so many reasons.
Most symbian phones has inbuilt
gps (global positioning system)
in them that help's u find ur way
and java phones don't. Java
phones can only receive .jar
and .jad while symbian phones
can recieve .jar, .jad & .sis .
Symbian phones have lager
screens than java phones. So
symbian phones are the best.
In your own words, what is the difference between a java & symbian enabled device.

I can bet they'll all be s40 devices, considering the price range.

Indian league is not even on tv, I've never heard of scouts picking players from the elite league of India. Their national team is ranked 165th in the world. They find it hard to score goals sef.....c'mon,what kind of football do they play there? Dude had move to Europe and let the whole world see him.
SportsRe: Ranti Martins Soleye: A Promising Striker For Super Eagles? by oayombo: 7:46am On Jun 03, 2012
There's this guy, Peter Ijeh that was top scorer in Swedish league some years back. He got called up to the eagles squad for a game and he fumbled like a pack of cards. That was his first and last appearance i guess. Let him move to a more competitive league if he's so sure of his skills. India is a cricketing nation, abeg..who knows anything about Indian football. Pass the mic pls
Nairaland GeneralRe: "Following" Page And Less Annoying Notifications by oayombo: 9:11pm On Jun 01, 2012
Behind bobo: i was banned recently because i was trying to explain the advantages of precast concrete and had to use the word "erektion"(wrongly spelt to avoid another ban). i.e precast concrete has fast 'erektion' time. I guess we aren't kids and words that have dual meanings like this should be allowed to be used freely.Replacing such words with another word which doesn't convey the intended meaning does no good
I hope the mods take note...all dos bleeping bleeping could be more annoying than the original words sef.

I have absolutely no problem with the 'following' thingy but a situation where someone follows me and had access to sending me email without my approval is not so cool. C'mon, i can follow anyone on twitter but i can't send them a direct message unless they follow back. Take a cure from that pls
PhonesRe: Nigerians May Just Save Blackberry From Extinction by oayombo: 9:41pm On May 28, 2012
puplin: Na wa for u o...at first you asked if i get PUSH email like he does and when i respond u had to rephrase by saying only E & N series have that in common with BB. Tell me, is Nokia 5230 an E or N series?
Secondly, i said i don't run out of data and airtime at the same time and u say i can....do u know how i use my phone? If u must know, every data plan is usage bound, BB inclusive!!
Thirdly, what has celebs & pictures on the internet got to do with anything??
Then you talked about an engineering drawing being sent as an attachment, is the file size gonna be as large as 500mb? And the client calling while am away, away to where? What has that got to do with data?
Then i feel convenient using nimbuzz cos i have my yahoo, gmail & facebook contacts all in one app...and its a twitter client too. So, your talk of within my circle doesn't make any sense to me. Is the bbm not a circle thing too?
I really don't get the basis of your arguments o.
Nice, u obviously know what u want in a phone n i guess your Nokia gives u that satisfaction. My brother, that is all that matters....most bb users that i know only use two apps...bbm & ubersocial
PhonesRe: Nigerians May Just Save Blackberry From Extinction by oayombo: 1:00pm On May 28, 2012
The question is, what do u want your phone to do for u? As for me, i won't depend solely on a device i have to be charging at every stop. Ask most of the bb freaks, they have a Nokia somewhere...lol
