I'm a Corper & was deployed to Borno for service, we camped in jigawa state & during our orientation course, they told us that boko haram is no more, that Borno is more safer than Lagos. I redeployed to Jos immediately. now my friends are deceived, risking their lives in Borno.

I can understand the fury over this and the disappointment.
But let's understand the difference between technical and fundamental analysis and use them to our advantage.
I have read many years back how Warren Buffet warned against making these mistakes.
Technical analysis works for day traders to make short term investment decisions on a stock. They don't need too much information on the book value and all of those details of a company before trading in them.
Conversely, fundamental analysis works better for value investors who are generally known as long term investors.
If you are a long term investor, why worry over the daily movement of the share price of a company you have researched well and invested long term in?
Daily gains and losses are all a part and parcel of a functional stock market.
Do not use fundamental analysis alone to decide on what stock to do day trading (what we refer to as jijo here).
It will back fire!
Same way you should not take a long term investment decision using technical analysis.
In the end, for fundamental analysts we all know that what ever goes down must come up as far as all the right fundamental boxes are ticked including corporate governance.
Remember, you are the master of your portfolio.
I totally agree with you on this.

Some are investors that aren't day traders they buy based on Fundamentals and keep for long term.

Most of the guys don't usually sell like we do here, they just keep buying, even when the stock isn't attractive, because they believe in the fundamental and future prospect .

And that is where NESTLE edge-out Total.

I remember when NESTLE was selling for N1000, and some were praying to get it for N7000.
They will rush to buy when they see it below N600 with dividend.

I can teach you if you want to know, The Sanate has no right whatsoever over him, He is only answerable to the president and if the President give him go ahead on anything What can the senate do?

Senate has suspend the BAN on importation of cars through land border since January and what happen? The BAN is still in enforce..
But the Senate confirmed him.

Why didn't PMB ignore the Senate and confirm MAGU as EFCC Chairman grin

Not true sir. The current US Secretary of Defense is James Mattis, a retired US Marine general.

He retired from the Marine Corp in 2013 and isn't required to wear a uniform.
Secretary of Defence in US, is like a Minister of Defence in Nigeria.

Also note the US Marine is under the DoD.

In Ali's case he directly head the Customs(Paramilitary) under the Ministry of Finance.

And he is required to wear the necessary uniform.

The exact gullibility of Nigerians I talk about.

The politicians, especially our senators, already understand how to toy with the brains of Nigerians and make them remain perpetually gullible.

They know it means little or nothing for them to earn N36,000,000 monthly and swim in opulence at the expense of the masses struggling to live; so far they can act as though they're fighting for their interest with small issues as this.

The senators/politicians understand how to keep the masses under their control forever by stealing big and throwing crumbs to their victims for survival.

Pathetically gullible masses!
I knew you will come back with those useless rants.

Just tell us what is wrong with these particular Senate action .

The Last time i checked Both senate and executives are swim in opulence .

And you didn't sell when it touched N15 and 16? Interesting investment decision. I'm sure whatever they're paying you as dividend is less than a quarter of the alternative forgone from capital gain.
Truth be told i wasn't planing to sell any of my Zenith shares, but just need to move money into another stock i a have been monitoring for weeks.

Zenith is a premium stock, and the price won't fall the way you guys are predicting.

I am only planning to sell half of my holdings.

Fcmb AGM comes by April and dividend payment follows after the AGM.Holders of Fcmb should expect the result any time in March ( from 1-31).I think it is a good idea not to release result now since the dividend payment date or closure date is not in March. We will continue to defend our share price until the result is out and we will position it to where it belongs.
FCMB really disappointed us with their delay.
