It's like you don't know anything about American cities. Washington DC is one of, if not the most liberal city in America.

I don't know why I bother with people like you
Duh,

Both Conservatives and Liberals have ruled the city.

It's not the security I commented on, it's how scared they are of the massive protests heading their way

Trying to keep them away from the cameras so as not to embarrass the Orange Nazi
Those protesters are sponsored liberals, and Migrants mixes with terrorists.

They should stay-away .

Yeah...but the shares are limited on the floor...it is just a matter of time before you can't even see them to buy except current holders decide to sell at a loss especially those that bought above 3naira. Any current holder that intends to hold the stock already has their stockbroker on speed dial grin

Spot from where I stand.

The price of the right is largely determined by how much they need to raise and not by how much the shares are currently selling in the market. Yes, a Rights Issue will normally be less than the price in the market but it doesn't have to be so. It is a game of numbers for some reasons

1. Current investors depending on how they think the company is doing can decide to pickup the rights or not, if they do...they up their game (more like maintain their current shareholding in reality), if they don't, they dilute their shares.
2. If they decide to pick up more shares (most likely from the market since it is cheaper for example), it is just a matter of time before the market drys up and by then the prices in the market would have risen beyond the 3 naira set for the rights issue. There might also be a long queue for those shares in the market...lol. Most people won't get it before it touches 3 naira.

The main issue would be investors' confidence on the company but one thing is sure...this is a bold move and the company is sending a strong signal on how confident they are with this...time will tell
Investor's confidence is the main issue here.

Because i don't see my self queuing-up at the registrar to buy an expensive stock, when i can get it cheaper on the floor.

Lets see what will happen today.

[s]Oga u jst want to keep arguing baseless without givin room for human error...haba...if as thourough as the US can be, they bombed a doctors without borders HOSPITAL (nt to mention bombing of schools in Afghanistan), this is not an excuse for the occurence of such incidence but then it only tells you that the margin of human error will always be there-in this case i believe it has to do with inteligence![/s]
You heard of the US bombings in Afghanistan, because the US citizens and media complained about it.

So stop using that as an excuse.

Somebody gave wrong coordinates to the Pilot that bombed the camp Three times.

A doctor without borders on foreign territory btw. It is excusable for a US jet to encounter a case of mistaken coordinates because it is a strange terrain anyway.
Bombing your own citizens in your country with a fighter jet is just hahahahahha- mad. cheesy

You actually said rubbish... US bombed a Doctors without Borders run hospital, they said by mistake. ... Bombing a place is based on intelligence given unless the pilot is a bh or ipoop yoots there is no way he can tell where he is hitting, ipoop iliterates think that a fighter jet flies 2 stories and can clearly determine what they are looking at no they usually get directions from the ground because they are flying very high with little room for distinguishing what they are bombing. there is likely faulty intelligence or pilot/plane error to be blamed. Hitting the camp 3 times seems to indicate faulty intelligence.
So, US bombing a Doctors without Borders hospital, is now the yard-stick for Nigeria. Well-done

And who gave the pilot the faulty intelligence.

Well you probably don't know the mean of dumping bombs on that place three times.

The same NSE you guys said was worse than MMM?
Wonderful!!
Who is talking about MMM.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has created NSE Pension 40 Index as part of key initiatives to drive market optimisation. The NSE Pension Index conforms with the requirements of the Pension industry as specified in the Pension Reform Act 2014 (as amended) and Regulation on Investment of Pension Fund Assets as prepared and amended by the National Pension Commission.

Pension funds administrators are always on the look out for investments.

If they would invest in Bonds they would invest in infrastructure.
They already got better/safer source of investment for the funds,

Nigerian Pension Funds is already trading on the NSE.

The pension funds administrators are actively looking for schemes in which funds would be invested. The government using PPP could invest in utilities from water to energy to parks to airports etc.

These are money generating businesses that people van hardly do without.

As I said earlier, to de-risk would be the major obstacle but that means the businesses in which these funds are applied should be guaranteed by extant Laws and provisions.
Trust me no pension funds administrator will want to give that money to government for any reason.

Use the idling pensions funds to bankroll utilities which would in turn be money spinners creating additional wealth for the pensioners.

If you built a road upon which millions of travellers would be tolled via pensions funds I believe it would be a win win.

The idea would be to de-risk such funds ensuring a guarantee of returns on investment.
How does the govt hope to pay back the pension fund, will they pay interest on the pensions?

The government can just dip their hands in people funds with proper payment plan.

I know Pension fund custodians will kick against these.

Pension fund is not MMM business.

i thought i was the only one that saw it.

With corruption still very much in this admin, the FG shouldn't use poor civil servants pension for to play Lotto. Politicians will just use this pension funds for 2019 elections

Osibanjo is enlightened, he should know that the best way to fund infrastructure now is by concessioning to the private sector at least for now.

They should just pass the enabling laws and fix our FX policy so foreign investors will now have confidence to invest their money in our infrastructures.

But as simple as what i've written looks like, to our leaders now they're harder than rocket science
Its not only civil servant pension.

Most Private sector and NGO are also contributing to the pension fund.

StanbicIBTC, ARM, PAL are get Pension funds from the private sector.

That place is a no go area.
