If the militants keep disrupting Nigerian output, thereby pushing price in the int market., while sparring oando's own installations at home, they will soon clear the depth and even borrow more to acquire more assets. Are you say militants are only attacking foreign facility in the ND. |

Adesiji77: On observation no. 1: It is a form of financing called "sale and lease-back". It will allow the company to free the cash that they had earlier invested in the asset for other uses. It can also confer some tax benefits. In a Lagos where the value of assets like land is increasing, it is not wise selling off assets and paying to leases it back. Why not hold on to the assets and allow Suntory lease it. |

Intendy: http://punchng.com/shareholders-approve-gsks-plan-sell-drinks-business/ This is so wrong The transaction will include the sale of the firm’s Agbara manufacturing facility designed for drinks business and 6.45 hectares of land while the company retains 3.45 hectares of the land to enable it to invest and grow the retained GSK consumer business, according to the firm. Under the terms of transaction, the chairman explained that the company would retain the production equipment used in the GSK consumer business and would lease from Suntory those areas of the Agbara facility, which were used in the production process for the core GSK business. My observations: 1.Why sell off what you have and still go back to lease it. 2. Are they saying their drinks, lucozade and co are no longer profitable 3. What's the stake of GSK management in Suntory. |

megainvest: It will not be delisted. There are some very strong interest groups backing the bank and they are doing a lot of things behind the scenes right now.
The biggest risk at present is the panic withdrawal and the loss of customer confidence they will suffer for the rest of the year and for a long time to come!
Some ways they can dig the bank out of this hole is to channel some corporate funds (maybe even government funds) in their direction or do a re-branding (Change of name ). They should also collect all the money from Ayeni and give a taste of what Cicilia and Akingbola are going through. |

we have over 250 stocks listed on the exchange and around 50 with good fundamentals and 30 of the 50 with also good cooperate governance. though numbers change from time to time. Yea there are fundamentally sound stocks on the floor, but they're scarce/overpriced. And at times thier figures can be inconsistent. Most of these stocks are in the FMCG, Building, conglomerates and Energy sectors. But in the :- Insurance - 0 Banking-1 Investment - 2 |

kentoto: Morning people, Initially I didn't want contribute on, before I observed that we have different types of trader/investors in the forum. Traders: trade of technicals of a company regardless if the company is dead. JIJo group.
Investors: trade off the fundamentals of a company.
The members give advice to the house. So if a trader say Skye , it's because his a trader off technicals . And investor will read it and be more confused or buys the cos the guru said it.
On the other side an investor drips his stock picks and traders would be like: are you high
And too bad a lot of newbies dey the house.
I trade Both a trader and an investor. But a leaner trader.(technically)
For Skye I have and will continue to whatch it as trader. But as an investor, don't go near it.
K You just hit the nail on the head with the bold. Amongst all the banks only GTB can boost of sound fundamentals not even Zenith. But some of us will still do buying and selling on these others banks if there is a sign on making profit. For example, I won't look away from Skye Bank if it IS selling at 0.10k on full bid.As at today, fundamentally sound stocks are scarce on the floor of our NSE. The only fundamentals for me is cashing out my little profits. |

NTEL is a National Carriers with 2G,3G and 4G license.
They're supposed to all this technologies on their network, so that subscribers can move in between this technologies.
GLO and MTN lunch their 4G LTE networks, we will understand how Telcos operate. |
