emperorchedda: They might do worse to their daughters you know?
A 15 year old sleeping with a man in her father's house is the height of disrespect and needs the highest form of discipline at the discretion of the parent/guardian That's not her fathers house. Her father is dead. She is an orphan and those men turned her to their sex slave, because they're housing her. |

andyanders: I think people like you shouldn't dwell among the living. How come you are supporting such an act on a minor? What offense has she committed that none of you have not committed in life? You are here saying that she deserved to be flogged? Even if she committed the act, why must a girl at that age be stripped naked and beaten?.
Anyway, if you are a man, your daughter MUST pass through same act, and if you are a lady, you MUST be accused for sleeping with a man or your child will face same act.
What is wrong is wrong and people should voice it out. If she committed the said act, why not counsel her by telling her the danger of such act and encourage her to face her studies.
Remember that she is an orphan and if her parents were to be alive, do you think that the so called LGA counselor would have dehumanized the young girl like that? The irony here is that the people supporting the treatment meted on this girl are females. Having followed the story, I realized the girl was turned on a sex slave by the same people claiming to help her. Hence they find it easy to do whatever they want to her. |

It is expected of you to act as soon as possible before the ex-div date. Act and never groan later. What's the ex-div date ? But the same thing is happening to Dangote flour. |

TheTrueSeeker: In Igbo land, there are certain things that are seen more as a TABOO than a deviant behavior. This is one of such;
An under-aged girl living with her father (by the way what about her mother?) would have the guts to bring a boy to her father's house to have s.ex with her in broad day light when she was expected to be in school? eba nu!
The villagers would interpreted the girl's action as a sign of a cursed family where a girl can bring such shame and disgrace to her father.
The father's action may have been too cruel but to an extent, you can't put all the blame on him.
Back in those days when a women is caught in adultery, she is striped unclad and taken round the village before she is sent back to her father's house Guy the ladies father is not alive. Those people beating her are, were actually the perpetrators. |

ezeagu: So then the two instances of a 'Yoruba' speaking people (Itsekiri is a seperate language, but let's just go with it) in Delta State not making a part of Delta Yorubaland and Anioma which makes up the entire north of Delta State which is defined by being Igbo, cannot be compared because the Itsekiri for the most part do not identify as Yoruba, but the Anioma for the most part do identify as Igbo, especially around Asaba. So over 30% of Delta State is Igboland, unless rlauncher was referring to another group other than the Itsekiri. Who told you Itsekiri don't indentify with Yoruba. It was the same Yorubas that promoted Olu of Itaekiri to Olu of Warri in 1951. Itsekiri, Ijebus, Awori, Egun are all sub groups of the Yorubas. |

Even at that lots of 3 & 8 band devices don't work on NTEL. Smile is using the same band 20, and lots of devices are compatible. Most internationally unbranded devices comes with multiple band. |

The pastor is mentioning biblical principles governing a godly marriage. Marriage is an institution deeply rooted in religion. No one is talking abt secular marriages dt have no basis in God & have contributed to 60% divorce rates in plAces like d almighty USA.
PS- the proverbs 31 wife described in the bible was also very industrious, successful in business & was able to personally buy & sell lands. Don't know what makes u think godly principles governing marriage must be reduced to being an unproductive housewife/slave. Just ignore these women. How many Nigerian women can do what Hillary did for Cliton. They probably don't know that US got lots of conservative women. And they don't show that on movies. |

The fall in profit is too drastic and emotional investing IS NOT A STRATEGY. One day, UCAP will be better EVEN IN SHARE PRICE. UCAP got more prospects than AFRIPRUD. AFRIPRUD is just a regular Registra, while UCAP is an Investment House(Stock broking, mutual fund, trustees e.t.c) AFRIPRUD share value should be lower than UCAP |

One may even consider it as a threat to the Nigerian government that if ibos are allowed to go that Yorubas will follow suit. I don't understand how a trained colonel, a product of Sandhurst and Oxford would interpret this as a green light to declare war. By the way, Awo was not a soldier and he didn't have any army. Why will I wait for peanuts yearly dividend from coys when I can play short term and get the 300% of the same dividend and move excess fund to other investment class. Not totally true. And it was through him we got to know Fajuyi connection to the coup and why he was top of the July coup plotters hit list.
We also have the account of Ironsi's ADC, Lt col Nwankwo, who was arrested together with Ironsi and Fajuyi to back up our story.
Fajuyi and Ironsi were both arrested, Fajuyi was begging for his own life and no other person's own. Isn't it amazing that the people(Awo and Fajuyi) you're blaming for the coup were no where near the event. Awo was in jail and Fajuyi at his command. Fajuyi won't be dead if Ironsi had stayed in Lagos. |
