chukwudi44: @op@ chukwudi44 What i mean by quiet is that unlike many of these churches you see on media, with their pastors everywhere on the page of newspaper, on TV, Radio and most media houses, Apostolic Faith has been hardly talk about. Its like the church is sitting at the last seat of popularity and prosperity churches. So that could be considered as being quiet.. especially when you see Holy Gost program every first friday of the month taken the ibadan express way up on traffic and Christ embassy holding most of the services on TV and Oyedepo with is Siloh programs.. It could be easily said we dont hear anything in Lagos where many of these churches take precedence |
There is no doubts that before the advents of the following churches, Apostolic Faith Church with its Headquarter in Anthony village ikorodu road has since been in existence. The church as its been said usually by vanguard newspaper during the church choir concert has the largest orchestra in Africa. The church was very popular around 80s and 90s. However recent church events has relegated the church to the background, i wonder if the church choose to be quiet or its members are quiet. While churches like the one mentioned below are gyrating and take the cloud whenever you talk about churches? Redeem Christian Church of God(Adeboye), Deeper Life(Kumuyi), Mountain of fire(Adekoya), Love life Ministry(Oyakilome) Convenant(Oyedepo) Can anybody say why this is happening? |
safeact: I just wonder why /how some guys, i suppose, are busy sending me emails asking for d girl's no! Pls, if u are one of them, stop now cos am not gonna do that.

What you have said is actually right. Women can not be trusted not because they are women even man could do the same its part of nature. This is the best way you should look at it. If you have a friend and all of a sudden he becomes rich..how many of them will recognize you as friend and not try to make you feel that you are below them. Now talk about woman that controls millions when the husband control thousands in naira. Its natural for African man to act inferior to rich woman and also to see that his masculinity will be threatened and the woman will one day control him except there is one major secret between both of them that could measure up or compensate for the same success of the woman.. e.g for instance, if the woman has some ailment that requires that man to be arround all the time and the woman is so rich, that struck a balance right there.. then the man see himself having some leverage over the millions of the woman and woman will humbly and respectfully respect her husband. why do you think there have been increasing report about Nigerians in u.s killing their wives. Many at time the husband is a taxi driver and find a way to bring his wife from Nigeria and once the woman arrives the husband pay for the nursing program and once she becomes nurse she start making tripple of what the husband is making then problems starts. The husband say one thing and the wife say 30 things. I currently have a friend that is seriously lamenting. He use to be bread winner and now relocated his family to Canada and pay for the schooling of the wife. The wife now makes more than double of what he makes and she would not listen.. than man has taken it has his fate. My advice for the girl is this... Let her live her life to the fullest. Buy the best of cars and build the best of houses she want to build. Then try not date or go out with anybody that is making less than what she is making. Go to high end meetings, clubs or with top young Nigerians. Then she would be fine. As for marry anybody making less, she will hardly find honest guy and she herself even if she find the right guy will one day show the guy he is inferior, its human. i would not advice any of my friend to marry anybody richer than them nor ask a woman to marry someone less richer then her because the reality is the marriage has a higher risk of not lasting more than 5yrs |

mich2012: thanks a lot @obalola7, that was insightful. Unfortunately, I live in Lagos ( actually just got back). I wouldn't mind going into agriculture/farming but I don't know much about it. I will go through the sites provided, thanks. If you are interested, i could link you to real farmers and you can talk to them, ask question visit their farm before making any informed decision contact me at obalola@hotmail.ca |
mich2012: Hi Guys, I am a bit new here. What good business can one put 2-3m (or slightly more) into that will generate good and "risk-free" ROI. I have considered distributorship biz and other things but as they say two heads are better than one, hence opening this thread to seek advice. Please do not mention online business, and do not even bother to ask me to send u the money to be getting an outrageous ROI monthly, it won't work. I need solid ideas pls and I don't mind paying for such an advice if it is something that is feasible. If it sound too good be sure your money will disappear just as it sound. If you have such money, what i will advice you is to look into a kind of investment that you will invest 25% of you total liquid capital in fixed capital; meaning if you are buying a land and building on it, you know you don't have to spend money buying land in the future again. Also if things does not work as plan, you can easily sell your fixed capital to generate liquid capital again. i think you should look into farming business as you can buy land, i mean acres of land in remote area and buy a small pickup that transfer your farm products to the city for sales and you can gradually grow. you do not need any registration until you want to have some deals with government or when your business start growing big. Look into birds (chicken)and other live stocks farming (ram for Eid or Muslims holodays, pigs and with chicken, you can get eggs and sell the chicken again when they are getting old: double profit)and support it with cassava, corn and those quick to grow cash plantation. The good things about this, they are long term and steady investment that could forever fetch you more money on every farm season and your overhead cost will reduce in percentage as your business increases. Also should there be a little dissatisfaction, you can convert your land to real estate, cos you would have bought it cheap and it will increase in value while making money on it through agriculture. you could buy acres of land as low as 200-400k depending on the area when looking at ogun and ibadan area. you can visit website like this for frequent idea on how to run your business www.iafricash.com and you could visit its research section to download documents that can aid your business plan. http://iafricash.com/research-section/ My friend.. no easy investment that generates easy and quick money without it having the capability of taking all your money and render you bankrupt |
We All wish Nigeria could do such a thing...http://www.npr.org/2012/07/27/157494819/rebirth-from-millionaire-to-prisoner-to-pastor?sc=17&f=1001 EnlargeCaleb Jones/AP Vernon Jackson leaving the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., in 2006. He later went to prison for three years on bribery charges. text size A A A July 27, 2012 Many of us strive to achieve the American dream just once in our lifetimes. But Vernon Jackson has already lived two versions of the American dream: invention and reinvention. Once a tech millionaire, this pastor from Louisville, Ky., thought his telecommunications device would bring him wealth and success. And it did, but only for a time. Ultimately, his business dealings landed him in prison. Jackson's story is about making it big, blowing it even bigger — and coming back, renewed. Today, he can laugh about his roller-coaster-like transformation. "To go from a master to a servant," he tells Robert Siegel, host of All Things Considered. "[Once] I gave orders ... and now I take orders" — from God. 'We Didn't Have The Choice To Fail' These days, Jackson spends his Friday mornings with a Bible study group in the lobby of a suburban Holiday Inn. The group is made of up middle-aged black men, pastors and professionals. At 60, Jackson still looks like a man who gives orders. He's an imposing 6 feet 4 inches tall. He weighs almost 300 pounds and sports a shaved head and goatee. Jackson grew up in humble circumstances in Charlotte, N.C. His father mopped floors weekdays in a local public school and preached in an Apostolic church on Sundays. Jackson says he caught a break at 17 with an AT&T affirmative-action program. He was trained in electronics and sent to work in Louisville. "We had to do better than the majority because we were considered minority. Expected to fail," Jackson says. "So we didn't have the choice to fail. So we insisted on whatever they threw to us, we would make it work." He became a network supervisor, and did well. He felt comfortable and secure. The Equal-Opportunity Culture of Corruption Rep. William Jefferson's indictment shows once again that neither party is exempt from ethics woes. Bill Jefferson Joins A Select Group Dec. 8, 2008 "I wasn't poor," Jackson says. "It was a great middle salary." After 20 years at AT&T, Jackson struck out on his own. He had an idea. His invention made copper wire — old-fashioned telephone lines — broadband-capable. "I saw the need," Jackson says. "I saw an opportunity and I was driven by the fact that I believed it was doable." It was the 1990s, and the U.S. economy was in the throes of the telecom bubble. Jackson started a company that went public, obtained a patent and started making his device. He figured black neighborhoods and African countries would be the last to be rewired with modern fiber optics. Those communities, he thought, were on the wrong end of a technological divide, and he had the device to bridge it. With his invention, he thought, the poor could get access to teleconferencing and email — and he could get rich. Jackson's company was valued at more than $1 billion at its initial public offering in 1995. His personal wealth was soon valued at around $30 million. But between competition and problems with financing, the company went broke. A Fateful Partnership So Jackson started a second company, iGate. But, again, there were financing problems. Jackson recalls a conversation with a potential investor who was white. "He said, 'Let me tell you something. Because of the color of your skin, you will never get the money you need. You need me, or somebody with my complexion,'" Jackson recounts. Jackson says that conversation made him angry — and even more determined to succeed. But the company still needed an angel investor. Jackson soon found an angel: Rep. William Jefferson, D-La. Although his benefactor didn't have money, as a senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus, Jefferson had power. "His relationship to me was to make sure that my products and services got installed in ... places he had influence," Jackson says. "Jefferson was a very influential and powerful man." But he was a corrupt one, as well — known to his detractors in Louisiana politics as "Dollar Bill." But Jackson says he had never heard that, and that he trusted Jefferson. The congressman became iGate's advocate, drumming up business for the company in the U.S. and Nigeria. Little did either man know, Jefferson was being monitored at the time in an FBI sting operation — and Jackson was caught up in it. In 2001, after Jefferson had helped iGate win some business, the congressman suggested the two men begin a new relationship. Jackson recalls the conversation when that relationship began. Hollywood Dreams Of Wealth, Youth And Beauty NPR's Bob Mondello looks at what Hollywood means when it talks about the American dream. Grad Who Beat The Odds Asks, Why Not The Others? Juan Carlos Reyes says few lower-income kids believe they can achieve the American dream. "He says, 'I've really done all that I can do, but you need to be marketed at a high level. So, I can't do that per se, but there's a company owned by my wife and my daughters who do just that,'" Jackson recounts Jefferson telling him. Jackson started paying that company $7,500 a month, and transferring shares of stock, as well. "I remember saying something [like], 'You sure this is OK?'" Jackson recalls asking Jefferson. "Because I saw a little red flag. And he said, 'Of course! I wouldn't steer you wrong. This is my wife, my daughters.'" In retrospect, Jackson says he was, in effect, bribing a public official. But at the time, he says, he didn't realize it. The arrangement went on for five years, until a night in late May 2006, when the FBI raided Jefferson's office. The congressman was indicted, later tried and convicted. He is remembered as the congressman with $90,000 in cash in his freezer. Jackson pleaded guilty, testified against Jefferson and went to prison for three years. Along the way, he says, he found religion in dreams and visions. He declared himself a pastor, ordained by God. 'The Moment Of Truth' But what makes an otherwise law-abiding businessman write his own ticket to federal prison? Why say "yes" when Jefferson told him to sign a deal with his wife? Jackson calls it "the moment of truth." "What's in one's heart determines what one does," he says. "We had had so much difficulty getting to this point, in terms of all the raising the money and so many hurdles we had overcome." Knowing there were people willing to pay for their product and feeling confident it would be a success, Jackson says he felt he had to move forward. "We know it's worth billions, so the shareholders will do well," Jackson says. "We're looking at our own glory, if you will, we will do well. And so you say, 'You know what? I'm going to go down this road, and see where it takes us.'" Jackson says he knew he had a product that could do good. "You've struggled and struggled and struggled, and now you're here, and you see all the good you can do ... You know you have something here that can really change people's lives." In the end, it was Jackson's life that changed. He's at home a lot these days. He takes care of his wife, whose back was broken in a car crash. He says he does some consulting. And his device to make broadband connections over copper wire is still being marketed, now by a firm in Houston. Jackson keeps a white Christmas tree in his living room, even in the middle of summer. "Ever since I walked back into this house [from prison], I've insisted that this tree is on, each and every single day." It stands for Christ, he says. He has a problem, Jackson says, of celebrating him just once a year. "The scriptures even say, in my house there shall always be a light," says Jackson. For a man who once had a mansion in the works, who was worth millions and dreamed of billions, and who used to hobnob with Nigerian high rollers, Jackson's life these days is modest. And it is a very American second act: The self-inflicted wounds of an outsized ambition, bathed in faith — a different kind of American dream.

make una see wetin some graduate they do http://iafricash.com/male-hair-stylist-makes-n100-000-monthly-has-4-on-his-pay-roll/ Male HairStylist Makes N100,000 Monthly ; Has 4 on His Pay Roll Taofeek Olajide at work “The first time I saw him, I thought he was one of those guys helping their sisters or girl friends to fix their hair. But I discovered he is a trained and certified hair stylist. And he is very good at it. I tell you!” one of Olajide’s customers said while speaking with iAfriCASH Wunmi Oladejo. The vibrant entrepreneur rocking the rock city of Abeokuta, from the stable of Onikolobo town, is none but this man with a feminine touch Taofeek Olajide. After his National Diploma at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State, the thought of what he could do to put food on his table became worrisome. He was among over 60% of unemployed Nigerian youths. But as for Taofeek, he opted for the self boss life, when he got tired of standing on the cue of the unemployed. “Getting a job in Nigeria is like waving a bone in the face of a dog – it may never come to you.” Taofeek told iAfriCASH. “I just wanted a daily income and I want to be on my own. I want to control my life and be fine” Olajide said. A friend advised him to venture into hair dressing, because he observed his passion for it. “He said people make money from hair making because girls can’t do without making their hair.” Thoughts and questions went through Taofeek’s mind. “What will people say? Male hair stylist? How will I cope with ladies world? How will men not think that he is after their girl? How?” “Some of my friends said I will never complete the training let alone to establish my own.” Taofeek disregarded this and enroll for a professional training course at Midas Touch in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, Nigeria. He went through a professional and comprehensive training in Hair Styling for 2 years and 6months. “Learning in the midst of ladies has been fun as well as challenging,” he confessed but his passion and drive for success has sustained him. Challenges Encountered “When I was learning, I learnt how to tong, cut and retouch alone. So other apprentices made jest of me that I can’t fix people’s hair because of my gender but I was determined to learn and know more than them. Also, I used to be very temperamental but as time goes by I learnt how to take things cool because 90 per cent of my customers are women.” Achievement In Business Taofeek Olajide shared with i-AfriCASH the achievement so far. He recalled with smiles brightening his face “Do you know that when I started I take N10, 000 to the market to buy weave-on but now I take N300,000 minimum to the market.” He continued “Presently, I have in all, three big shops which I run.” Taofeek has over 7 apprentices and 4 staff on his pay roll. He has ceased to look up to the government for job, but has employed enough to reduce the number of unemployed youths on the streets. “Today, I make hair for big people” he said wearing a smile of fulfillment. Profit Made Monthly, after all expenses made, payment of workers, buying equipment and working tools for the shops, “ I make more than N100, 000 from each shop. But I still invest it.” He disclosed. This is one of the works of Taofeek Olajide Most Memorable Day In Business “Last year, the woman I went in partnership with when I finished from Midas Touch came to my rented shop with police that I spoilt most of her facilities due to the reason that she didn’t believe that I can be doing so well but God settled everything.” He explained. 5 years Time “I see myself having many branches in all places where I won’t have to stand and do people’s hair again. I will have more than enough workers. Advice Taofeek advised Nigerians youths to embrace the spirit of entrepreneurship. “Youths; take up jobs. Don’t look at the pay. Just do something good. Don’t wait for the government, because you are the government. And to other business owners, You just need to be patient and consistent, you will make it. Thank you.” Short URL: http://iafricash.com/?p=801 |
Acidosis: Nice story. Once again I'm inspired.@Acidosis, Thanks. I think we should all be inspired about a development like this. It does not only reduced unemployment in our society, it also help reduce crime, put food on our table and ultimately help inspire innovation that could help us advance. |
I am impressed with this guy story. If we can have people who create jobs for themselves, then Nigeria will be the U.S of Africa where investors will be willing to come to put their capital for capital gain. How long are we going to have to look for jobs for, when we can start something with little capital. The capital needed to start a reasonable business can be as small as what some people spend in a month in beer parlor even with joblessness. Please read and lets make meaningful contribution. I SOLD CHARCOAL AND FIREWOOD IN MY DREAM – Egunjobi NIGERIA – He got tired of the white collar job and picked up the black collar job. He is Egunjobi Olusoji Olaniran, a graduate of Business Administration, Lagos State University, LASU, Nigeria. He spoke with I- AFRICASH. Diamond Brain in this interview captures his travail and success story in Charcoal Business as well as the meaning he makes from what some people may call demeaning jobs. Egunjobi Olusoji Olaniran is a citizen of Ondo State, South West, Nigeria. “I received a lot of inspiration from my mother who will always say, even though you want to sell pepper, have a good Education.” He has worked for 6 companies as a casual worker but ended up being frustrated out of them. He recalled the story of his turning point in 2003 and he shared it with I-AFRICASH. “In 2003, my boss gave me a query when I got to the office saying that i was late to work. It really touched me, so I asked myself for how long will I continue like this – serving under people” Egunjobi saw the query as a challenge. This spurred him to do a reality check of his life. He eventually made up his mind to face life from another dimension which is to dare the charcoal business. “I left the office that day. So on my way, I saw a woman trading charcoal and I began to give it a thought. After this, I remember that I dreamt that I was always selling charcoal and fire wood.”The dream to Mr. Egunjobi was a clue of what next to do. Expectedly, every business has its teething period. As for Mr. Egunjobi Olaniran, it was not a different story. He explained to I-AFRICASH that a lot of his friends were displeased and wanted him to continue with the white collar job. “But today see me. I did my wedding; cater for my family and I established my wife for her Fashion design business. With charcoal business, I take care of my children and even meet other people’s needs” He joined the Charcoal Suppliers Association of Nigeria (CSAN) as a Marketer which allows him to sell in retail after giving N7,500 and some token food and drinks items to the association. Few years into the business as a Market, Egunjobi took a giant stride of being a large scale dealer popularly called Supplier. He joined the Suppliers’ team and his knowledge base expanded much that he makes more return from sales. Also getting quality charcoal at a pocket friendly price becomes easier. 2 years after he joined the Ebira Firewood and Charcoals Sellers Association of Nigeria (EFCSAN) precisely in 2011, his proficiency and contribution was identified in the association and he rose to the position of the National Secretary of the EFCSAN. “ Ebira people have been in charcoal business since 1932.” he revealed. But is charcoal business really that lucrative in Nigeria? Mr Egunjobi answered it. “It requires wisdom, perseverance and experience to survive in the business.” He explained that buying in the dry season to sell in raining season makes more business sense. Explaining the process that makes a charcoal, “A hole of 6 feet is dug and we burn the wood there. We cover it and light it up. It burns until it becomes red and then to black. And we package it as charcoal. When you are using it in your coal pot or whatsoever, it turns to red, then to white and arches. It has no side effect, unlike firewood which affects sight especially at old age.” he explained. “Choosing the right location, capital and experience will give you more sales in charcoal. A good customer relation has helped me.” he said. Egunjobi admits that he has gained and sustained more customers by carrying their goods for them after purchase. “My most embarrassing moment in this business was a day after my birthday, 4th of June 2008. The woman did not know that I understand English. She came to buy, but she called me all sorts of names” Egunjobi lamented that the woman talked him down and abused him with disapproving words, but he kept mute.” I was sad much that I shed tears that day.” “3 months after she came back and apologized for her mistake. And today she still buys from me” he added. Mr. Egunjobi sees himself as the number one exporter of charcoal in Nigeria in the next five years. Short URL: http://iafricash.com/?p=720

Kobojunkie: It saddens me that even after this long in the history of the nation, there are still those who ask eejit questions such as this "If You Are The President: How Will You Stop Boko Haram In Six Months?".Its had to reach conclusion base on what you said above. But you can give illumination on what really saddens you>? Is it the question, the long history or both? Because you can see that the questions is very important especially if the current president is misplacing priorities. You might want to read this http://saharareporters.com/news-page/jonathans-brazil-junket-show-irresponsible-executive-aloofness-cpc-says and dont forget to read the commentaries below it too |
ishmael: GEJ should issue a last warning to all northern governors that if he hears any form of violence coming from their states he will declare a full state of emergency in such states. I bet u no governor would want that to happen to him. The governors will inturn issue warning to all emirs, traditional rulers, and religious leaders in their states that they risk being removed from their thrones and jailed if anything bad happens in their domains. This ones will inturn issue same last warning to all district heads and religious leaders and it gets down to the family level for each head of family to control their wards or else risk being arrested and jailed if any of their wards are caught. If this is done without fear or favour it will help in bringing an end to this BH madness. Adequate security should be provided for those who expose BH members they know. These BH members live with the locals but they are scared to report them cos of what might happen to them and their family members.I strongly agree with you. But remember that might not really solve the problem it can only reduced it, especially in those states where the Governor is not loved or where opposition are taggetting ways to get the governor out of the state house. If this happen, Jos will be the first place where head will roll. Except the government has grip on the security to monitor any potential trouble quarter, which may inturn leads to abuse of power from the governors. But i think that might be one of the cheapest way to reduced it, but not guarantee to tame them permanently, also, especially if the sponsors are from another states. |
achi4u: simple medication...divide the country into three North,West,East.I quite agree with you, but this can not happen within six months. The separation of Nigeria can not be done by the president, it has to be by the national assembly and as a matter of fact GEJ has sworn to uphold the constitution and separating Nigeria will be illegal and could land him in jail for the rest of his life. Also, even if separated, there is no guarantee that there will not be local fight.. if there is fight within family, community and clan, there will still be miss understanding even after all have gone on their own way. So the most thing that could happen will not be separation. |
bodejohn: It will be difficult if not impossible for a common citizen to be able to answer this type of question.Hmmmn if a bloody civilian can not answer question like this, then that bloody civilian is not worthy to govern a complex Nigeria Yes i also agree with you that how he got there matter. If we conduct our democracy like U.S and make candidate to campaign and debate then we can test their intellectual capacity. PhD or Master is looking like its worthless now when it comes to governing Nigeria, especially when considering the current administration. Also, intelligence within the president reach matters, but a meaningful and capable president should not just rely on what he is told, rather he should read, research and probe for answers that will help him. I also think using Obasanjo style would have help. Get capable and intelligent young people to man every area of power, then you will see changes. |
Johnny: Where are all the noisemakers here? Why avoiding this thread?Bring your suggestions, which you think GEJ should have implemented long ago.I guess its a hard question or at-least its one of the politics people avoid |
We had a discussion about the topic above with some friends here in North America. Then i began to ponder seriously on this subject especially with the maladministration of the current administration in Nigeria. Some time i wonder if too much of education sometime makes one to be dull or if Nigeria Educated become brain dead as soon as they climb the seat of power. When Yar'Adua/Goodluck came we all have high hope, especially when considering their academic background, it was not long before we found out that they were not the messiah. Although there are many questions that come to mind, but this one could be the one that beg for answer: is it because they were Nigerian Trained, perhaps if we had foreign trained Nigeria Educated, things might have been different(not too sure). To delve into the topic of this thread, what would an intelligent president do to curb and tame Boko Haram? http://www.sunnewsonline.com/article/suicide-bombers-hit-3-churches-kaduna-zaria First i will like to answer this question like Yar'Adua if he was still alive, he would say "Seven Point Agenda" 1. Buy Drones: Get drowns from U.S and Canada for surveillance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unmanned_aerial_vehicle 2. Military and police: Screen for the best in the military, SSS and police (36,000)1000 per state. while some of them will be on uniform, majority will not and would patrol with legs, bike, car etc. 3. Oracle Priests: Initiate Local best vigilante (Oracle Priests) look for vigilante like the bakassi boys http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakassi_Boys 4. Buy Helicopters: (3 per state) while peaceful states in south west can borrow hot states in the north their helicopters during major operation 5. Efficient Operation: Maintain steady surveillance in the day and night. Carry deadly operation at night to reduce casualties. Filter phone calls, social websites with some specific words, 6. Create Anonymous Hotline: Dedicate phone lines, websites, text line, emails and mail for information. 7. Trace Every 1 million Naira: Monitor every transaction that exceed 1M especially those transferred to the hot bombing states Another question is where are we going to get the money from.. arrest all the oil monsters of subsidy and take back the 3 trillion and seize any flying money going to Boko Haram to sponsor it. So what will you do differently or suggestion that could advice the president to wake up since all his advisers only advice him when they are both drunk

bestman201217: What business can one do in Nigeria with 3Million Naira and start making instant return of the money? atleast 30,000 Naira per day. I have thought of so many investment in my mind, but I came to conclusion to public transportation business, which I strongly believed it gives return instantly from day one of the investment. I have read from this site about the pros and cons of the business in Lagos state, many of the investors ended up bitterly because of some wicked drivers, but does that means, with a strong condition as the rightful owner of your investment, your drivers cannot deliver properly. However if my terms should base mandatorily either you lose your job that same day as one of my drivers or my complete agreed daily payment, what will happen with this condition? I wouldn't mind changing drivers every day, in as much as possible I get what I want from my investment. Please my fellow forumites every of your ideas are intriguing to me.@bestman201217: Its good to aspire high, think big and anticipate for best return in startup business. However, you should not think too high of income when you are starting a business especially on business you don't have prior knowledge about. Any business that you start that give you such a high return could also take your entire capital away(bankruptcy). Some of the things to consider are: 1. It is advisable to at least have reasonable amount kept for the up and running of your business for at least 3-6months: what happen if you got a flat tire on the first day in transport business? 2. What happen if your driver cross the line with traffic officers(transport van seized) 3. What happen if one of your vehicles develop mechanical fault etc Base on the above reasons, look for a business that even when money is not coming in, you are not spending money. Do not invest your entire capital on a business irrespective how good the business sound on return, especially if you are just starting Start with extreme caution 5 Principles of a successful business Make establishing your business your first priority Make customer your second first priority Make your staff your third first priority Make maintenance, repair, re-branding, restructuring, retuning your business fourth first priority (that keeps you in business and a champion over competitors) Make profit your important priority but not as important as those above if you are thinking to stay long in your business and to have everlasting profit .Let us take Dana Airline as a case study base on what i said above(remember Dana Airline is into transportation) 1. Establishing a business a first priority: Dana Airline had successfully establish itself as a airline of choice. 2. Customers your second first priority: If customers where part of Dana Airline 4 must do principles of business success, and was placed where it belongs, the airplane that crashed would have been taking off the air for proper servicing. 3. Your Staff your third first priority: If the life of Dana staff is important to the success of Dana business, there will be no way that plane should still be flying in the air on its condition. 4. Make maintenance, repair, re-branding, restructuring, retuning your business: If Dana Airline consider this, its profit sharing will not plummet now, its airline will not be grounded and of course it will still maintain its status as airline of choice. (This can kill your business or turn it to a ghost company with no human flesh) 5. Profit is your important priority but not as important: If maximizing profit was not misplaced and stayed in the bottom line of the other principles, Dana will not have gotten into accident, loosing its customers life(i doubts if passenger would ever fly Dana even if its not grounded)At this point, the initial profit they misplaced and trying to maximized at the expense of others will not only make them end the Dana Airline company, but currently they are loosing 50 million per day(the last stage of the dead-end of Dana Airline): http://pointblanknews.com/new/exclusive/4549-we-will-lose-n50-million-daily-to-suspension- dana-air.html Think of a slow and steady business you want to grow and make to grow to be come champion in it, not just for the profit, but for being successful at managing it and being the CEO of the company. |
