Yes i do understand and i believe that its not appropriate to mismanage the money especially if the people are in need, i wish they had help more of the member and they would have been exonerated. Look at what Jesus did in Matthew 14:13-21

It might have worked for one or 2 people who endured hunger, homelessness, poverty out of 160 million while building on the dream your notes prescribed, but its not a silver bullet. There are many "How to tutorials that is not practical in real life."

However, i think you should rather concentrate on a thread that focus on how pastors who have failed their members could have done it right, for instance,

Using the money to create a better welfare for their congregation by:
-Providing subsidized university that even the poorest church member can afford to make one of his children to attend.
-Establish business that will employ more than 70% members of the church especially those who have no job
-Building Hospitals, Schools, Hotels, Transportation companies that will allow for massive employment for the members and also benefit them
-Making the church for all and not for family own and teach contentment not greed
-Living modest and not affluent.. What would a pastor do with 5 cars, when members only rely on their legs, multiple mansion when lots of the members have no home, where will
all these go to, when the pastor eventually die?

i guess some of these pastors don't read their bible enough to learn from Solomon. All is vanity, you can only eat what your stomach can contain, be in a car at a time, live in a bed room at a time and spend so much and then begin to waste the rest.

However, you will se that in verse 9 of the same chapter 45, he says "9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?"

Remember, In another text in Jeremiah 18:6 "(6) O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. The bible made us to understand the do and don't and yet man will still continue to do it. When the sinners sin, the righteous around them feels the consequences when the punishment comes. Just as the rest of the meal that had no stone were thrown away, the righteous suffer with the sinner that cause the problem.

okpara ugo: I am seriously contemplating sacrificing my life dreams to preach the gospel of Christ Jesus. Many times i dream where am preaching the gospel. Whenever i hear the sound word of God, tears well up in my eyes. Two men of God have talked to me on separate occasions that i have God's calling on my life. The most recent one made me travel for about 250km and when i got there to answer to his invitation, all he said was that God was calling me.

I have personally been a victim of extortion by some so called MOG's and i know i cannot engage in such habit. I have enough resources to care for my self now.

But one question i still ask is how do i start

I think you should consider looking for a place to train yourself practically. While most big church may not really give you the platform to practicalize and invest your God given talent at least not immediately. You might think of looking for small church to start with and then grow from there. You will not only gain the skills and experience needed, you will also learn from your mistake and others.

If you are interested, i have a friend who just recently started a church and wouldn't mind associate pastor/assistant.
Remember its a experience worth going through, but require lots of patience, prayer, reading of bible and dedication. Above all if you are not corrupt, but sincere and faithful to man and God, you will eventually see the manifestation of God in your life.

Fatdon: President Goodluck Jonathan, Saturday, said his junior brother, Chief Meni Innocent Jonathan, died of cardiac arrest.

The late Jonathan who, until his death, was the chairman of Otuoke chiefs council, was laid to rest, Saturday, at his Otuoke home town in Ogbia council area of Bayelsa State after a solemn funeral service at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church.

In an emotional laden voice, President Jonathan, clad in a black shirt, who described the death of Meni as very painful, said he died of cardiac arrest.
The president spoke at the church service. According to him, his brother lived a good life, though he was still a young person at his death, his death is particularly too painful to bear.

His words, “I always know that people will surely die. I always believe that people will live to an age where they make their names. Some persons die before they are born, there are a lot of still births. Some others die before they grow up to an age where people recognized them. He (brother) had his two sons fairly grown up; that, at least, will be with us. The circumstances of the death sometimes worries me. What worries me is the he died so suddenly.

”This was a young man I came home on a Friday, he came to my house, nobody carried him, he moved down just from his house across the road. We discussed he was a bit frail.I said follow us so that he could do medical check up.

”He drove himself down to Yenagoa to board the chopper to Abuja. He got to Abuja that Saturday and was admitted in hospital. The following Monday, his breathing changed. I said, ‘let us make arrangement to get him out to let him get treatment outside’. So an arrangement was being made. Unfortunately the following he had cardiac arrest and inflamed heart at the State House Clinic.

”We were making arrangement to move him to National Hospital. It is a very sad thing. He had been covering the home front for us. He has a very humble person. He was a reliable and trustworthy person you could ask to handle things for you. He is dead, there is nothing we can do. I must thank all of you who have come to join the Jonathan family to give us this respect. In some traditions, I’m supposed not to be in church. It is tradition that you don’t bury your younger ones.

Luckily for this community, we don’t have too many of these cultural and traditional things. It is quite sad, it pulled the whole Nigerians to the community to bury my younger brother.”

Present at the church service were Mrs. Eunice Jonathan, mother of the president; Dame Patience Jonathan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; his Deputy, Emeka Ihediora; Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State and his wife. You mean after spending so much on food, there is no brain to think of a better medical treatment in Nigeria; there is no thought that you can have a medical condition that requires you and you cabinet to get the best Hospital and trained specialist in Abuja or Nigeria that could do the job without flying him out? When you sick, you remember the state of the hospital in Nigeria, the same hospital an average nigerians go to as a result of no options.

opportunity2012: It happens as this: I went to my bank on dat day around july ending dis year to deposit money. After I deposited d money, I decided to check my balance and I found abt 2Billion naira in my bank account. After some thoughts I went to discuss it wit d bank manager and after he had called mayb their hearquaters region, he said I can go dat they wil do sumtin on It.According to d considered advice of my part adviser in university.When I noticed dat he wil nt take it serious, I decided to report d case to police headquarters office and I got to d police station headquarters in ife bt they didn't av interest in it telling me dat they av heard d same frm one person of their staff and dat was y I left for SSS office in osogbo to report again I got to d sss office to report n one of dem was telling me dat if d money is still there we should go n withdraw it bc it is sum ppl who steal n keep it their in my account. So I was abt leaving their office wen I was called back n they now told me dat they will like to handle d case.I narrated how it happened to dem, they told me to write statement n bring it in typed and printed copy again n I told them dat I wil nt b able to be coming and going like dat bc of transpt fares and time bc am still searching for a job.So I wrote d statement their n they typed n printed it their n they told me they wil work on it too.They also gave me d copy n I av it wit me.So I brought a copy of dat statement wit me n later I was called to report their again.I went their for like 3times before they nw said that their director would like to see me n the bank manager at d same time.So wen d day comes, Me n d bank manager appeared b4 d sss director and we were interrogated n d director told d manager to make his statement too,We were told to leave dat place n as I walked out wit d bank manager, he was reporting me to his wife mayb dat I was d one who reported them n he said dis as if he wants to attack me.Since dat day I av nt heard anytin frm them n d other time I called one of d sss officer, he didn't pick it n he didn't call bk.To be sincere I felt strongly being cheated. If you had intended to make money from the 2billion in your account, you should have asked questions before contacting the bank or the police.
And if you think they have shared the money and they did not settle you, i think you should take that as your mistake and find something to do rather than complaining.
If you want to be a good christian, i think you should do it to the letter, and if you want to be a bad guy and a christian, you should have know it will not play to your advantage, so you should had either been a good guy or a bad guy.

Remember that not all amputation is as a result of judgement. There are christians who are amputated as a result of persecution. So your accession may not be outright correct

I think many of us will disagree with you on this. There are lots who have seen healing from AID's and Syphilis wouldn't be an exception either. But amputation is a different case.

1. The way I see it, Nigeria is a showcase for religion at its worst. We have 2 major religions failing woefully. It means either of 2 things...

A) These religions are not being practised appropriately or

You see you are right and i agree with this that religion as it is in Nigeria is not practice as it should, but that is another topic in its whole. First we should understand that many of us dont really understand the different between the act of religion or religion itself and the subject of religion

A. The act of religion is doing the stated obligation of religion, that means praying five times a day or going to church on sunday.
B. The subject of religion are the human beings who practice this act or practice it.

The religion its self has its theoretical understanding on what needs to be done to be called or part of a particular religion.

That being said, you could be a christian religion observer, but not a christian, if you go to church and do all that is required without attesting to the fundamental beliefs of the religion through the clarity and understanding of the religion elements, for instant, you go to church and have not confess that Jesus is lord, why this is not the only limitation, especially in Nigeria where you have people who confess, and still defraud their members and then practice the religion theory and practical on the aspect that favor them and ignore the rest.

B) These religions have no real positive effect on society. It can be be either neutral or negative but not positive.

You may be right to some extent. Religion is a form of consolation that appeals mostly to those that have been deprived, humiliated, persecuted and are in different challenging situation in their lives. However, the true believers and custodians of these religion, communicate well with God and find solace in time of trouble. In Nigeria case, there are lots of illiterate, intellectually impoverish even though they have Bsc, Msc or Phd from the best university in the world and those that can see but still blind due to poverty. Also as the saying goes, desperate situation call for desperate solution and there for make lots vulnerable. All these add to the reason why the religion is not practiced as it should be, and since the government is also sick, it makes its easier for people to be exploited.

I believe point 2 is the reason why things are getting worse rather than better. Nothing to do with generational curses. The UK and many European countries were of celtic origin. The Celts had a traditional religion known as Druidism (or Wicca) prior to the Romans conquering most areas and outlawing the religion. Wicca is where the name witchcraft came from. Witchcraft is known as the craft of witches.. or wiccans. To summarise if such nations once followed witchcraft, why are they so blessed now? What did our forefathers do that is so much worse than what their forefathers did? Nothing is the answer. It has nothing to do with our forefathers.

2. My point to obadiah was.... if God intended amputees not to be healed how can pastors heal them? Some pastors claim to have done such things in Nigeria. Either the obadiah is wrong, God has no control over the pastors or the pastors are lying.... or all 3

Far from it that its generational curse. Africa and black people in general, believes that if things does not go well, its because on witch, or one person has curse them or hypnotized them. We could see that, during the biblical age, there was no major exercise or modernization that can actually break people's bone or any technology that could amputate peoples limbs. In the biblical age there were some dangerous disease like leprosy that can easily spread among the member of one's body and to other people. While people infected with this disease are infected as a result of their sin e.g Numbers 12:10-13. We can also see that there was healing. While in our technological world, such people can be amputated before the disease spread to all the parts of the body. The immediate solution for such people, except for Aaron's and Moses sister Miriam who got immediate healing as a result of Moses Prayer to God, All other people infected where sent out of the camp. "Leviticus 13:46 As long as he has the infection he remains unclean. He must live alone; he must live outside the camp."

Conclusion:

It could be said that, the reason why God won't heal the amputee, apart from the fact that its comes as a result of sin, because there are other illness that also comes as a result of sin, that God still cure or heal, my profound research brought me to the conclusion that, God do not heal amputee because, God does not repair rather, he replaces or restore broken skins and broken bones, however, if the broken bone is as a result of human, negligence, he ignore, and never bother to heal (replace)it.

If God can make a sperm that grows to bones and make a baby grow bones from his small body to a full grown body with adult skeleton, I am of the opinion that replacing a bone is not difficult for him, but has been an option for him to ignore, especially if caused as a result of human negligence or sin. For instance, in the case of Job in the bible, the bible makes us to understand that, he authorized the devil to touch all parts of his body including his skin and bone, i guess God would have replaced Job bones if broken by satan as he restored his health, skill boils and material loss. Job 2:3-6-""

I am not guessing, but will like to elaborate on the issue of authorization. There were many disciples that were called in the time of Jesus, but many left except the 12 and eventually one also left due to greed and later Paul filled the place for Judas. The preaching of the twelve disciples are different from each other, but carry the same content. While other church might be preaching holiness, some might preach it and radicalized it.

So what i am saying is that, Apostolic Faith might be one of the disciple church with authority from Heave capably of preaching and radicalizing it, however, Apostolic Faith might still also be striving for perfection, because, no entity on this earth is perfect.
