bigfrancis21: Well, let's not drag the topic. We are not the VOs anyway. There could probably be several others in Seye's situation who got their own case approved. We won't use just one denial case to generalize for everybody. There's nothing wrong in Ik.Swiss trying. His family could get there and all get their visas. Yes. All these years the KCC never gave a damn if you lost your confirmation number but suddenly this year, they became considerate. I mean things change. On getting there, if his mother presents her case very well by presenting original birth certificates and a couple of family pictures taken from childhood to adulthood (even if a birth certificate can be forged, several pictures of mother and son taken at different points in life couldn't possibly be forged right?) why won't they see to her case? If KCC and the VO determine that their case is a genuine one they'll be granted their visas.

A considerate VO will even probably be wondering why a mother would be leaving her children (even young ones) behind and relocating to the US all in the name of lottery. Questions will be raised. Madam, do you have children? Why are you leaving them behind? Why didn't you include them? Who'd be their primary care-giver in Nigeria here since you'd be relocating? Is their father alive? etc. If she goes ahead to pursue it singly the way you want it without coming up with cogent reasons, she may even get denied.

Ik.Swiss I'd say, go for it. There's nothing wrong in trying. Its better to try than not to try.

Confirmvisa: The VO's in US embassy only give visa to wicked people that can blow up everyhere. I was deny visa in the morning. Just take a good look at the face of the boston bombers. worry 359: For first stage processing they select lots of names 125,000 knowing that many will not meet requirements (only 7000 places) and fail at interview.
Before a second selection can be made most of the first people must fail.
With visa cancelled for 2015 then a second round is VERY unlikely.
No point in people holding breath till end of year.
If you have failed now then move on to something else in life.
