Well, I cannot speak for the entirety of doctors, but I have no "air" whatsoever of superiority!

Infact, I prefer people don't even know I'm a doctor outside the hospital, for fear of being billed outrageously, kidnap, extortion etc! I kinda keep a low profile both in and out of the hospital. But then, we're different in life, some persons may prefer to be loud, I've worked with lots of people in the hospital across different cadres and disciplines from nursing to labs, physiotherapy, dental techs, dieticians, records, etc and I've got no single issue with anyone, infact I have lots of friends amongst them.

So, it's more of a personality thing, rather than professional stuff. Infact, I've had people argue that is she really a doctor?? I didn't know she was a doctor oh" whenever they meet me unexpectedly maybe in the theater or ICU. I relate everyone normally either he's the gateman or the CMD.

Life is too short abeg, no time for unnecessary ego!

Don't like loud music.Those who go to club rarely dance, them go dey laugh who dey dance . When they decide to party, the subsequent days makes them really dull and want to 'rest'. Even during outings after few laughs and a drink with plenty water, next na to pick their car keys or flag down a taxi , time to go

Don't wear loud bright dresses. Dull dresses are their Craze.

when I started my corporate work at 25, I told myself that I would have my own hustle by 40. The stress that investment banking work brought on me was too much. Waking up by 4:30am and coming back by 10pm. I registered my own consulting company by the side and was waiting when the side hustle could pay at least 50% of my total salary. That never came to pass as the Solo Consulting space itself is even competitive. Most jobs came through referral. I never got any consulting job based on submission of application. By 2016, I couldn't take it again and resigned to face my solo consulting. This is the fifth year and, I am yet to gross the annual salary I enjoyed when I was still working.

Any regret? No. I have my peace, wake up at my own time, visit my parents and enjoy good moments with loved ones during the weekends without considering the impending coming Monday. I am on my bed typing this, reviewing a document sent to me by a client. My mental and physical health is top-notch and I have developed myself beyond my imagination. Money wise, I am still far from getting what my corporate employment paid but I am far happier now than when I was working in the bank.
