MrKong:funny, although I don't think that the person that is making this statement is serious, Will a Doctor go to buy fuel and tell them that he is a doctor and they will give him fuel free? Will a Doctor go to market and tell them that he is a doctor and get all the item he need free? It there health care benefit for Doctors? Was these Doctors trained on free scholarship by the Nigerian government? In developed countries, they have working health insurance that cover for health care for all citizenry So I repeat that this person is a comedian |

May 29 is regarded as democracy day in Nigeria, below is the view from a respected analyst who is a legal practitioner. Today is "Democracy" day (irrespective of what that means). Nonetheless, only few individuals know this truth; only few individuals know that Nigeria has no "Constitution"! "The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Promulgation) Decree No. 24, was promulgated by the Federal Military Government of Nigeria in 1999. Interestingly, the Decree mentions in Section 1, that there shall be a Constitution which shall be set out in the Schedule to the Decree. And, just like many other military Decrees, this Decree No. 24 contains a Schedule and the present 1999 Constitution (which many wrongly regard as a valid constitution) is contained in the Schedule to the Decree. Hence, rather than upholding the 1999 Constitution as the highest law in Nigeria, is it not more appropriate to regard Decree No. 24 as the highest law? And, if we so regard this Decree as the highest law, it would mean that the workings of government and its institutions are presently dictated by a Decree. Therefore, given the elementary fact that Decrees only operate in military regimes, wouldn't it then mean that we are presently under a military regime (disguised as a Democratic one)?" Where did he expect them to get the money from? I thought PMB has ordered for TSA on all FG agencies I know that many people will say that, the money is from allocation to the agency But the money was allocated because there is a need for it, as requested by the agency I think EFCC should start their jobs This is the height of corruption |
yrmybank:the 18mins given is the highest for an average fit man, 20mins for women The world record holder for marathon cover 1km in less than 2.7mins but NAF only want u to use a minimum of 5.6mins to cover the same distance So u should see that it's not an athlete that they want but a normal average person that can undergo training A doctor should know, there are normal range for every thing Same way, a doctor perform/request for investigation to know if a patient is within the normal range, that is how NAF are conducting theirs to know those that are within the normal range Confirming that you are fit does not mean you will remain fit, but it's better than enlisting an unfit person that will most likely die during training, and the family will start asking compensation And also being in administration, if you are not fit to be a soldier will be a disaster. |
Macmilla:oga Mr Doctor, I think you should be going for residency instead of military job I don't just get your reason to start complaining, about a process that has been there for long , or do you think that NAF does not have doctors? This dssc is for professionals, yet you have to prove you have the qualities of a soldier, or it would have been called employment instead of enlistment. So I think you should better quit your ambition to join NAF, if you don't want to follow the rule, instead of trying to come to this thread to ridicule our noble profession (medicine) And mind you, other profession are as important as medicine, so I think you should start to reconsider if you really want to join Once again, if it's for the money, go practice in the middle east, or join residency or open a private clinic, as a doctor you can never be poor |
Happy mama day

yrmybank:I think you mean "ft; NAD" which mean No Abnormality Detected. |
SKYZZZ:I actually chatted with their help contact via email and call, and he told me that the shortlist that was out for each center was for every person that applied for dssc2016, and persons that did not find their name there means they did not click on "submit" after filling the form, they probably click on "save and continue" So that was the only criterion used at the computer stage |
viqueta:oga applicant, you have a nice dream but wen you wake up let us know Military job is not a thing that is don carelessly, so it's not possible in your widest dream that an officer will call you to help screen other people. Mind you, there is a senior officer supervising what goes on in each center Except that officer wan sleep for guard room |
JustOzito:you better start believing it, before them take over your village |

OBA EREDIAUWA CORONATION The coronation ceremonies of an Oba of Benin usually last about 10 days. They begin from Egua-Edaiken, the traditional residence of the heir-apparent to the Benin Throne. On a day fixed by the Edaiken, he is escorted by his Uselu people on his journey back to Benin City. On the way he stops at an historical palm tree named "Udinama aimiuwa" (translated to mean "work before pleasure" ![]() which the Edaiken "climbs" symbolically. This little ceremony dates its origin to the time of Oba Ewuare the Great whose life as heir apparent to the throne was characterized by long suffering which included periods when he personally had to climb palm trees on this spot to cut the fruits for a living. This act of suffering by the father of the first Edaiken has ever since been re-enacted in a symbolic way by every Edaiken. From the palm tree the Edaiken continues his journey to Benin City; but at the first moat called (Iya-akpan) in the vicinity of where the firm of Mid-Motors Nigeria Limited now stands, the Uselu chiefs in the procession take leave of the Edaiken and return to Uselu while the Edaiken is thereafter escorted into the City by Oredo Chiefs. The Edaiken enters the City via Iguisi (now Lagos Street) and Proceeds to Eko-Ohae (bachelor's camp) where he stays for three days. After three days at Eko-Ohae the Edaiken continues his journey to Usama. The venue of the traditional Coronation rites. Usama was the site where Oromiyan, the father of Eweka I, built the first Palace and all succeeding Obas from Eweka I, were crowned and lived there, until Oba Ewedo in the 13th century moved the palace to the present site in the centre of the town. The Edaiken remains in Usama for 7 days performing all the rituals and ceremonies of the Oba. Before the expiration of 7 days, he visits a village a few kilometers outside Benin, where he performs the ceremony for choosing the name he will answer as the Oba of Benin. This tradition started during the period of Oba Eweka I whose maternal grand-father, Ogie-Egor, lived in the next door village of Egor. When Prince Oromiyan left Benin, he left behind his Bini wife who was pregnant in the care of her father the Ogie of Egor. The woman delivered a male child who was dumb from birth. The maternal grand-father then sent home to Use, the mother's village for treatment, but when he grew up and still could not talk, words were sent to his father at Uhe. His father sent 7 magical akhue with which the dumb Prince participated in the popular village game known as akhue. With only one seed remaining on the ground and every player having failed to strike it. The young Prince used the magical akhue from his father and succeeded in striking down the remaining seed. Excited by this feat, he spoke for the first exclaiming in Yoruba, Owimika (my hand has struck it). He later assumed this expression for a title which became corrupted to Eweka. Having picked a name at use, the Edaiken returns to Usama where the crowning ceremony is performed by Oliha. The leader of the Uzama and proclaims Edaiken in his newly acquired name as the Oba of Benin. It is significant to note that until the ceremony at Use, the Edaiken never knows before hand what name he is going to be crowned with. From this moment also the Edaiken ceases to use his personal names and he is henceforth known by the new name of an Oba. Also significant is the fact that both at Egor and Use, there still exist almost in their Original form the shrines established by the diviners and the native doctors who brought the magical akhue seeds from Uhe. After the crowning ceremony the new Oba then leaves Usama on the 7th day for the town centre to be proclaimed and presented to Benin people. On his way to the City he stops at Isekherhe to perform the ceremonial crossing of a bridge, a reminder of the day Oba Ewedo on a similar journey erected a bridge to enable him pass Isekherhe territory without stepping on the ground. After crossing the bridge the Oba and his entourage engage in a mock battle with Ogiamien and his followers. The resistance of Ogiamien forces collapses while the Oba and his entourage proceed to Urho-Okpota. Urho-Okpota (the gate of Okpota) dates its existence to the era of Oba Ozolua about 15th centuary, and it is the area now known as "Ring Road" Including where Exhibition centre and the Local Government Secretariat now stand. Okpota was a powerful native doctor who prepared a charm of good luck for the Oba. It is said that the charm which was buried at the gate of the Palace brought prosperity to the Kingdom. The Oba lodged Okpota in a house near the Palace in the area of the present day Exhibition Centre. The verandah to his house soon became a meeting place for the elders, even for the Oba, and Urhokpota has ever since remained a centre for meeting and useful deliberations. For the same reason Oba Eweka II chose the site for building the new Native Court, now known as Exhibition centre. The ceremony at Urhokpota completed. The new Oba then moves into the palace as the Oba of Benin. But he still has Ogiamien's challenge to meet and so 7 days after, he assembles his troops and proceeds to Ekiokpagha where he engages in a mock battle with Ogiamien, a reminder of the real battle between Oba Ewedo and Ogiamien in the 13th century when the latter attempted to prevent the former from entering the city from Usama. By the treaty between the two, Ogiamien surrendered his claim to the ownership of land to the Oba. Edo people entertainment.. I decided to read a copy of the National Grazing Reserve Council Bill and I was surprised at what I saw. Please read. "The Bill creates a council to be chaired by a Chairman to be appointed by the president. The council shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation. Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. They shall bring cows to the land and you shall lose the land permanently to those Fulani cattlemen. If you feel that the council was not right to take your land, you can go to court but before you go to court, you must first of all notify the federal attorney general of your intention to sue the council. Apart from notifying, you must get the consent and authority of the Federal Attorney General before you can sue. So that means that if the Attorney General refuses to give his consent to the suit, you have lost your land forever to the herdsmen. And this law, when passed, shall apply to the whole country so it means that your land in the village or anywhere is not safe. The National Grazing Reserve Council would have the power to take away your land from you anytime they want and pay you whatever they want as compensation (even when you don't want to sell, and remember that for you to get compensation, you must have documents showing or proving ownership). So I think that we all in the South West, South South and South East must rise up and reject this Bill. We must do all things to force our national Assembly members from passing that bill into law. That bill is a deliberate attempt to take our lands and hand the land over to the Fulani cattlemen since it is only the fulanis that rear cattle in Nigeria. That law, when passed, shall fulfil the directive of Uthman Dan Fodio and other northern leaders to take over other parts of Nigeria. I implore you to use all available means to implore your senator and Rep not to pass that law. That law will destroy Nigeria. All over the world, ranches are established and used to rear cattle. The farmers buy land and put there cattle there. There is no country where the land of the citizens are compulsorily acquired and given to others. This is evil, and designed to favour the Fulanis where the president comes from. We must resist the passage of that bill into law to save Nigeria, and to protect our future generations Please share this piece until it goes viral. We must defend our land and protect our children." Don't you concur? The yeas have it I suppose. Comments https://mobile.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10204595635651072&id=1839823005 |
mysapphire:NO, it's a major requirement for all center Infact that is the only print out from your application that will be asked for Then, they will require original of your certificate(nysc, first degree, birth) |
dammyllare:the Q or NQ is not written on your application print out It's written on their system or record paper If you should check their guide line and compare with what many people are asking on this thread Then you understand the reason, only a fraction will qualify for the next stage Many people don't even know the required height, many don't have the education requirement and many don't have nysc or exemption certificate, some even have tattoo At this stage they did not check for flat foot, but that will still NQ some people at a later stage |
Youngest409:bros, you seem not to get it, the guy sch has an upper limit of 4, and I believe your school upper limit will be 5( that is the pattern in nigeria) So you can't compare directly except you convert to percentage That is the reason yours is 2.2 but his is 2.1 |
MosesIgb:guy, you think the course is not in existent does not mean it does not exist, most of these are not offered in Nigerian universities |
waley1231:I will tell you what I saw in kano center A lady who had RN for Nurse but no RM for midwifery applied under Nursing but the requirement for Nursing in the advert is RN and RM This lady also said she is fully qualified Environment health worker( but did not come with the certificate) which was in the advert She was mark NQ because she is not qualified for Nursing which she applied for Maybe if she had applied with her environmental health she would have qualified |
yrmybank:I did mine at kano center, and every body was screened, even those that did not find their name on the shortlist, but they are very strict about these things 1- Height 2- Original Certificate 3- Nysc Discharge Certificate( the officer may overlook it, only if you will get it before the next stage) 4- if your course of study was advertised ( a chaplain of the Nigerian Army was NQ because of this) I also heard one officer telling his colleague that out of 50 management science applicant he had screened, it's only about 3 that qualified Am not discouraging people, but am just saying what I witness So the truth is that many people will be disqualified based on the above |
Is there any body here who did the screening without seeing his name on the shortlist at the zonal center? |
stevoskyj:was ur name included in the shortlisted names for the screening |
