Car Talk / Re: Dodge Caravan Pulley Issues by Obeledu: 12:48pm On Nov 05, 2009
I advice you to stay away from that caravan, it is no use buying a car that the parts are not readly avaliable not to talk of specailist.

Continue to save money till you buy the popular brands.
Car Talk / Re: Audi S8 (AHC) 4,2L V8 32V Into Audi A4 B5 1,8T Sport. by Obeledu: 5:35pm On Nov 02, 2009
This must have been your hobby, because i am just wondering in terms of financial reward whether it worth the effort and energy. Probably you just want to prove it can be done, because if i have money to go into such venture i will just buy V8.

However congrats for the job well done.
Autos / Re: A Honda Bulet With Over 200,000 Mileage For Half A Million by Obeledu: 1:20pm On Oct 26, 2009
My own honda 2006 accord has 273,000km when i bought it 3 months ago. It has been working fine with AC in use most of the time. After a long distance trip of about 700Km yesterday, i noticed that there is drop in the oil guage. After some enquiries i was told it is due to weakness of the engine.

So my sugesstion is check the price of tokumbo engine and add it to N500,000 if it is whitin your budget then go for it.

Firstly why are all you pics taken from the same angle, the same street, the same position and exactly the same spot?

Secondly where are the detailf pics from US - carwash - car reg opps am jumping!you know how you do it!

Thirdly as 2nd moderator why did you remove my posting priveledges? i didnt cause any disturbances,i didnt derail any thread but opened my own thread asking questions that should be asked by a MODERATOR! I didnt break any rule as cmectrouble, this is a free forum not a political party!or am i making some one uncomfortable?

You are highly regarded and am free to ask questions!

It looks like you are a typical Nigerian who likes to pull people down. If you want to be a dealer, why not figure out how to be creative and attract customers to your thread than try to pull somebody down. Dont be jealous of other people success otherwise you will not succed in life.

TV/Movies / What Is Happening To Ait by Obeledu: 4:22pm On Oct 14, 2009
AIT for the past 2 weeks has been messing up, especialy with their audio quality. The modulation of the audio system has been poor making watching the programmes irritating. Also their 8:00pm news has been going on and off.

I hope these things will not happen during the broadcast of U-17 world cup.

Could anybody on this forum who have acces to them tell their engineers to do something about their audio quality.
Car Talk / Re: How's Your Tokunbo Behaving? by Obeledu: 4:35pm On Oct 09, 2009
nne_mak:

Ya, its no scare but advice, I am stll wonderin how a 2006 accord got to 233,014 miles so fast! shocked shocked shocked

even 2000 arccord are still less than 170,000 miles,

I am equally surprise, but if you see the car you wont believe it has done such milage: very neat. I will come back to testify after 1 year of usage.
Car Talk / Re: How's Your Tokunbo Behaving? by Obeledu: 12:57pm On Oct 09, 2009
I bought my 2006 accord which has done 375,000km on it about three months ago. I have serviced it once with Mobile one oil and changed brake pad. I have travelled from Warri to Anambra and was amazed by the stability of the car. I was doing 140kmph without feeling the effect on the steering.

The only problem i have noticed is that the speed at which the drivers side window opens and closes is different from the passengers side, the passengers side moves slowly. I dont know if thats how the manufacturer made it. However i will have a good eletrician check it.

Also i want to believe that high millage dosent realy affect the performance of the car, thats why i am using the best oil in Nigerian market.

So far i am happy with the performance of the car.
Autos / Re: Over 35 Complete Car Kits Available For Sale. Bargain by Obeledu: 10:39am On Sep 03, 2009
The problem with Nigeria spare parts market is that it is a close market, in the sense that its only when you own shop at Ladipo that you will be able to distribute or sell your market.

If you decide to import on your own, you still need somebody at Ladipo to market it for you, thus putting you at disadvantage.

Thats may be the reason you are not getting much response.
Education / Re: UNILAG: ASUU And NASU Went On Rampage Over Resumption by Obeledu: 10:30am On Aug 31, 2009
Hello All,

Let me ask you people this question: Do you people thinks that even if federal govts. increases ASUU salary by

100% then the nigerian university problem will be over.?

The problem is the University leadership, which ASUU suppose to be fighting. The money the govts releases to the

university what do they use it for. The award of contract in the university should be looked into by the ASSu, the

extortion by lecturer, the issue of emphasis on handout instead of books, population explosion and many other

problems.

Politics / Re: Mend (Jomo Gbomo) Speaks About Atlas Cove by Obeledu: 2:51pm On Jul 18, 2009
A-town:

Even a 1st grader knows Mend is not the Govt.
My point is that MEND does not have genuine intentions. (as far as i am concerned)
Only a fool will steal crude oil, sell it for profit and use the money to buy explosives to damage their own land.
Why can't they keep stealing crude oil and use the money to develop their communities since they claim they have been neglected.
They are just typical Nigerian thieves.

I agree with you, because you have to win people sympathy. Look at organization like Hamas, Hezebola and Taliban that are branded as terrorist oganization, they people still support them, because of the some social work they attached to their strugle.

If MEND can invest some of the money they made from stolen crude in some of their wards or even local government, i bet you they will win peoples support, not this mindles destruction of environment.

Hello All,

Inspired_Men has done it ooooooo!!!The car was delivered to me on Saturday 4/07/2009, I have been painting the town red with car.

Let me emphasise that when i was introduced to Nairaland by my colleague I did not know any dealer then. I started reading various threads until I came across Inspired_Men pre-order process. I was attracted by the way the thread was presented, along the thread there was an argument about the validity of one car being advertised and when it was being insinuated that Inspired was fraudulent, some body made statement that Inspired_Men was Bigger than that transaction. it struck me that this man must be real.

Also there was a thread where Inspired was accused of using Juju by Carshopper, then i said to myself this man must be real and performing for him to be accused of using Juju. Thats when i decided whitin myself to deal with him. I paid money into his account without even meeting him against my wife and colleague advice. I can confirm now that Inspired_Men has redeemed my trust on him.

I hereby confer on you the title OKWADIKE of Nairaland

Career / Re: Should I Migrate To Canada Or Continue With My Job? by Obeledu: 2:45pm On May 15, 2009
Hello All,

I thanks all that contributed, I would have made a grave mistake if not for the advice I received on this forum. Also I

have gathered a lot of information different from those you read on internet.

I thank the owner of the site SEUN, only that sometimes I wonder how he will continue to sustain the site since

everything is free.

Like most people advised, the children will go while i stays in Niaja.

I love Niaja with its abundant problems, but it is a free country. Nigeria is a place where you enjoy your freedom

with small cash.
Career / Re: Should I Migrate To Canada Or Continue With My Job? by Obeledu: 4:31pm On May 14, 2009
Thanks Kogilomo,

To answer some of your questions, I started the migration process when the former company i was working with was about going under.

I studied Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

I had MCSE(2000) and CCNA, but they had all expired.

Presently I am more into Cable Structuring/telecom

Also if i am going back and forth what will happen after 5 years.
Career / Should I Migrate To Canada Or Continue With My Job? by Obeledu: 6:24pm On May 13, 2009
Hello All,

I am a man of 42years with 3 kids. I am currently working with Nigerian biggest Gas company as a contract staff and

on monthly salary of around 300K/month. There is no chance of being converted to staff position, but there is job

security and pension contribution by employer.

Before I got the job five years ago, i started this Canadian immigration process. I haveĀ  lost interest in the whole

process then all of sudden they said my visa is ready.

I have some other investments in Nigeria.

Should I abandon all these and migrate to Canada to start afresh?

Ayusman,

You better change your mentallity concerning nigerians, a lots of Nairalanders has pre ordered cars worth millions through Inspire including me without even seen him face to face.

I have just ordered my 2006 CRV through him, if you continue to think that Nigerians are full of scammers your business will never progress.
