Sir, maybe we should ask the Person who told Him to give His money to the poor. I feel somehow when I see posts like this . People should study their Bible well and make proper enquiry before coming here to say things they aren't sure of or start unnecessary controversy. No offence meant. |

Kind sirs, there are some churches that do somethings that I as a Christian do not really understand. Do I come to Nairaland and begin to seek people's opinion? No sirs. If it bothers me, I go deep and search the foundation of such in the scripture and get the real interpretation. If we take the case of MFM, someone has explained to us that evil spirits don't die and that the word 'die' means to lose relevance. Looking at this from a scriptural standpoint, Jesus commands us to cast them out. Demons are evil spirits that seek to take possession of objects (especially animate) to achieve their purpose. When we cast them out of any entity (animate or inanimate) they inhabit, they lose relevance. Figuratively, they 'die'. Scripturally, figurative praying is not wrong. In fact, the Bible has many figurative expressions that have spiritual meanings (e.g. the books of the prophets and Revelation). Now where do we cast them out from, from people around us and things that pertain to us. Some of us We should also know that demons move around in this physical world but we can't see them with our physical eyes. Besides, some of us are our own problems because we keep doing things that offend God. So what do we call that? We may call it weakness but god calls it sin. Unless we command such things to 'die' or 'lose control' in our lives, such things could prevent us from getting to Heaven. Jesus was tempted by the devil but he overcame. Our problem is that we don't overcome. From the way some us sound, it's apparent that we have one grievance or the other against MFM. We all cannot belong to the same denomination but let's stop all this unnecessary controversy. I have seen Christians that prayed these prayers against demons and got their breakthroughs. Whatever method works for you, as long as it's in line with the Scriptures, use it. A note of warning I must sound is that anyone who is praying for his fellow man to die is going against the Scriptures. God is The Avenger (Romans 12:19) and The One to determine whether the man or woman troubling you will live or not. The only thing is for you to remain godly and faithful to Him. Lastly, anyone who is really born-again, has the Holy Spirit, prays continually and studies the Word of God will really tell the good from the bad and the right from the wrong by the help of the Spirit. Thank you sirs. |
nijanigga: Reading many comments, you will see the reason why Nigeria can NEVER be great.Folks are ready to thier lives on the line for soothsayers and marabounds.Exactly sir but the word is marabouts. |
Is he speaking as a football fan or he was told that SE will win? |
I think CAF was trying to play out the script of Ghana winning the trophy but it didn't work out. I even thought Ghana would win because they were favorites. |
What a story! |
Please which of the BBs do want to buy? |
Capnd143: NB//:QUOTE ME: Even obama cant rule Nigeria for a month with critism, because some Nigerians are ignorant of the work of a president, they just expect the president to come to their backward and do renovation and build Federal highway across their toilet!! When there are governors, chairmans, councillors, senators, reps to laise such.Sorry sir but it looks like you were trying to say something else with your use of the word 'laise'. For the next, I think you mean 'I rest my case ...' Thanks. |
Sorry sir but maybe you should go and read Dr Olukoya's books or listen to his sermons and know why MFM members say die. |
OP, source please? Well, we don't need any wizard to tell us that they're fake or that he gave them powers. Some of us already know that they're fake. We only pray that God will expose them the more for worshiping the devil and deceiving many with their evil powers and fake prophecies. What I know is that the kingdom of darkness cannot prevail because they are always against one another. |
Thanks OP. |
Thank God for the victory. According to Sunday Oliseh, Stephen Keshi tactically used the weak point of the Malians against them. Tamboura (their left back) was their strength but also a weak point. He usually overlapped to attack and whenever he did that there wasn't a cover-up for him so Keshi used that against them. Apart from the free-kick, all other goals were worked through the Malian left wing. A classic example was the fourth goal. Maybe another thing was that the goals came quickly than they expected. The match was over in the first half. |
Keshi has succeeded in proving a point that he prefers indigenous coaches and has made friends out of enemies. If he wins the AFCON on Sunday, he will be the second African to do so. I just pray our African brothers don't entice him with juicy contracts. ![]() |
Vision2045: I get u sir,..but am not so sure if the story is authentic, that y its framed like that..Ok sir. It's really a touching one and one can never know exactly how life would turn out in the future. I just hope he'll be fit to play on Sunday. Even if he doesn't play, I still believe that Nigeria will win the trophy even though I had thought that Ghana would win it (sorry if I derailed). |
Thank God o! But why is the Commissioner lying about the Governor's health? If he wasn't sick then what did he spend the time doing? This is cheap politics! He should tell us another lie and maybe we would believe. What's wrong in a Governor getting sick? Isn't he a human being? |
Sir, maybe the topic should be re-framed because it looks more like a question than a true-life story. |
The story is a touching one but topic ... ![]() |
