This is exactly what happens when people mistake a prank for a real DIY guide. A lot of iPhone 7 of owners are now drilling holes to create the non-existent 3.5mm audio jack on the newly released iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 made headlines due to the removal of the headphone jack in favor of wireless AirPods a lot of people are not really willing to buy. Apple believes the future of audio is wireless but quite a number of customers do not share this dream with the company. Ever since the device was released, this has been received with mixed reactions. While some think it’s a step in the right direction, others are of the opinion that Apple is out of ideas.

TechRax posted a video on YouTube explaining how easy it is to get the missing 3.5mm audio jack on the iPhone 7. The video shows an iPhone 7 held down with a clamp and drilled with what looks like a 3.5mm drill. The video description reads, “This video is for those who don’t want to get $159 wireless airpods or have to insert your headphones into an adapter every time you listen to music.” Watch the video below:

TechRax is known to publish serious tech related stuffs and it’s unfortunate that a lot of people have already damaged their new iPhones try to replicate this. An angry user said:

WTF huh

F*ck you! my screen turned black the moment I started drilling and now I can’t even open it.

Another person who tried this commented:

A friend of mine told me it worked for him, but my iPhone won’t turn on after I drilled the hole for the jack.

While some are busy trying to follow this guide, others completely get the joke. Alli wrote,

I drilled 4 holes, all are working fine, now I can use 4 headphones. Thanks.

#fortheloveofbooks. Guys this thread made me retreat to check on my collections and start reading up those unread by me.

I am really devastated to find everything in my hard disk has been corrupted. I failed to back em up online/cloud. Someone used and corrupted my disk, my fortunes and treasures are all gone... Sobs sadly seriously.

If its your live savings as you claimed, come down to abuja go to agis and gwags to verify the papers. The whole process of verification and purchase shouldn't exceed 72hrs

My dear nairalanders' i am about to purchase 2 plots of land somewhere at Gwagwalada area. The owner has shown me the following papers:
Agis (Acknowledgement of Regularisation of land Titles)
Certificate of Occupancy from Gwagwalada Area council and
Survey plan.
The seller assures his paper and title is genuine, he said i could go to Agis office to verify on they computer. Gentlemen/ladies, i dont reside in Abuja but want to purchase and develope a small property in Abuja. Please i am afraid of lossing my life savings, please kindly advice me accordingly
.
What should i do, lookout for or steps to take. The land is located at kotikun area of Gwagwalada and i have until tuesday to close the deal or else someone else takes it.

Please i beg for your advice.

How could you share such story of gross reckless negligence and still refuse to mention the name of the transport company involved on a faceless forum.

Any country where people with the acumen, passion and ability for the job are sidelined for people who care for their meal tickect only is a messed up country or society.

I thought the airforce are scientific and above some of the bullshit rampant in the army, not until i heard yhe mind boggling sums Barde and other AVMs looted whereas Naf has no real 3rd generation fighter jet. Worsr of all is why would a military officer embezzle or manipulate funds meant for troops on the frontline?. This country is one big joke.
I am sure all those in the frontline fighting terror are those without godfathers.
This nonsense ll ny stop at entry level, it is apparent iy continues from enlistment or commissioning to promotions and appointments.
