For the folks talking about tyres and all, that's a picture of the car before I travelled with it in the mechanics place to check all checkables. Tyres, changed break pads etc. As a fact I left ekiti for Ibadan 9pm Sunday and the car was without a stain I even did 130+ on the sick Ife Ibadan road.

Bro if you continue this your reckless speeding on Nigerian roads, simply because your mechanic (most of them are not reliable) gave you an all clear, you will either kill or maim yourself. Use your brain, even if it's a German car, watch your speed on Nigerian roads.

boss this is the worst one i have had. I was robbed along patani road in 2017 when I was on my way to PH around 2am, I was on my way to deliver a 2011 corolla sports because the duty was compromised so i didn't want to leave during the day because of customs palava. The robbers were robbing 2 luxurious buses when I got to the point and felt maybe its another checkpoint then the road wasn't good. B4 I discovered what was happening it was too late so I just removed that plastic under the ignition and disconnected some wires, chia it was a big mistake but at least helped me. I was beaten blue and black by them but luckily a rx350 toks appeared from no where and they faced the car robbed the driver collected the car and shot at my car but by then I ran into the bush by the side of the road. It was after they left we discovered they killed 2 people in one of the luxurious buses and it was after they left i started replaying what happened in my head i was beaten blue and black by a female member of the gang and i will be forming hulk hogan. It wasn't a good experience at all since then if I am travelling to a long distance 6am latest I don comot except on very few occasions.

Sorry about the beating & thank God you safely delivered the car. I love adventures & planning similar trip & wish you could share some of your experience, driving technique & how to look out for trouble on the high way. I wish God's safety always.

I drive the same car and the same colour in fact. I must say the car is a good car, drives smoothly and very fast. If you want to go for this car you need to consider your location and how good your roads are in your area.
If your location is prone to flooding and you area has bads road I won't advise you to go for it, because the car is very low, when I got mine from the US, the tyres that came with it, were almost new low profile tyres, the way it was always hitting the ground, my mechanic advised me to go for high profile tyres, which was the best decision so far.
Concerning fuel consumption, I spend an average of 30k monthly and my full tank cost about #10k and when I drive with AC switched on it covers 200km.

Cons
Mercedes benz parts are expensive my headlights cost 100k, 1 plug coil cost about 10k, last time I serviced my car it cost me about #53k (2pcs of Mobil 1 + 3k for the mechanic)

Overall
I am satisfied with the car, its durable, has premium finishes, very comfortable to drive in, accelerates very fast, my cruise control is bae, seats are all electronically adjustable, very smooth and silent when driving and the AC is chilling.

May i first thank you for the good job, giving folks here free specialist advise.

Mine is a corolla 2012, online research shows it uses Dexron iv tranny oil. I am scared of the oils i see around & intend doing a long road trip with this vehicle & gear oil is running low.

Please sir, how do i get the recommended Dexron iv synthetic oil, genuine one by toyota? Or what better full synthetic alternative do you recommend?

The last guy made a good input, my 2006 Camry had same issue,after changing bulbs and headlamps, it was the windscreen that was the culprit,mere looking at it you will argue it was ok, I had it changed and could see quite a distance at night.

P0420 – Catalytic converter system, bank 1 -efficiency below threshold.
Has anyone experienced this & how did you fix this?

Maybe the headlights are offset, most times we overlook this simple fix. No matter how bright our bulbs are, if they are not set properly we will not get desired results.

Your headlights use 9005 halogen or 9005LED highbeam 9006 or 9006LED low lowbeam. Buy original philips bulbs.

I drove a similar ride to yours with similar complaints, i changed the bulbs did the settings, it improved but my wind shield had serious issue of hard water stains which made it painful to drive at night regardless of improved brightness.

Your Issue may be one of the 3 issues or all of the 3 i stated above. Mine was all 3. I was never able to get the hard water stains out of the windscreen until i sold the car.

Bought & used belgium bulbs. Now using florescent bulbs (white) all without much improvement. Was advised to look for a good electrician to tune/set the lights properly. Still open to further advise or sharing of experience by other car owners. Thank you all for your inputs so far.

Well, I use 2013 corolla, and the only bulb types I know are Belgium and new ones, and new ones appear to last long, hence I opt for them. The last thing I can think of as the source of your problem is the setting of the bulb. Check whether the bulbs are pointing straight, if not, you have to reset them. And lastly, if your car doesn't come with fog lamp, you can remove those plastics and put the fog lamps.

My fog lights work. I just need recommendations on bulb type to purchase & install.
