you cant just become a moderator like that, as far as i know its a rigourous process, when there is an open position, regular and long time members are screened and other members are asked to vouch about ur online character. The final decision rests with seun.

creazor: I should think that as moderators, their primary objective is to oversee and maintain order and adherence to Nairaland laws. I know that Moderators have the power to ban accounts, hide posts, and most importantly (to me) select topics for the front page.
What I, as well as many others, do not know is who exactly are these Moderators? Can one aspire to become one?

If I were mod on the religion section, even for just on week... mynd's exploits would be kindergarten style. If u so much as use foul word on any other, u are gon be banned for a week.... yeah! If u mail me about it, id see it as an appeal court challenge on a supreme court's judgement...if u fail to convince me of ur innocence, I'd ignore ur plea, and ban u 2days more.

Rules are rules...folks can't be civil, but would deliberately flout a rule, then come later protesting an 'unjust ban'

Hbg, tho I don't knw what happened to her, mmw, and the rest mods ALWAYS have a tuff time.... esp for those who think the section is more theirs than others.
