Politics / Re: Checkout The Salary Of Nigeria Politicians In 1979 by Objectivist04: 8:07pm On Jun 05
That is a whole lot of money and had more value than whatever they are receiving today in their respective positions.

Note, that 14k can buy two new brand 504 pegeot in 1979 and there will still be enough change but today not even the statutory monthly salary of the president can buy any brand new car

So definitely politicians of those days were paid better than the current ones

Whom did he support during the election, why are people vilifying Peter Obi ? Was it not because of his rapport with Oyedepo during the last election ? Where did they come with the "yes daddy" that they use to mock Obi ? If you don't know that Oyedepo openly supported Obi during the last election, then it means that you started existing just few months ago.

Leave Oyedepo out of this, he warned about Tinubu during the election so I don't know what you want him to say again.

The poster have a valid advice which l myself have been thinking about.

With Reno's posts still on internet, he can never pass any NASS screening in this country be it for ministerial or for board appointment.
I don't think he is considering all these

[quote author=udemzyudex post=130273308]

You're a certified dolt, are we talking about Niger state or Ogun state?

If you've traveled around ogun state you'll understand what I'm saying, Ogun is at 4th position in terms of IGR but you'll see little or no development in the state, ifo local government alone should be divided into 3 or 4 to help facilitate developments in those areas.

In conclusion, you lack common sense, quote me again mk thunder strike you. [/quot
so solution for bad governance is division of the state into numerous states ? So we should go on dividing other states with potential but lacking in development ? What happened to electing a good leader to change the narrative just as Abia and benue states did ?

The friend you were selling that idea to must have seen you as a slowpoke but couldn't tell you so you won't feel bad

I was telling a friend today that ogun state needs to be divided into 3 more states.

The state is too big for the governor or better still create more local government.
This your solution is bereft of common sense.
Ogun is too big how ? In terms of land mass or what exactly, if you should divide Ogun into 3 states how many will you now divide Niger state

Politics / Re: Tambuwal To Tinubu- Stop Using Unsolicited, negative Remarks On Buhari's Tenure by Objectivist04: 5:54pm On Jun 02
Two faced affonjas will not like this. These people supported Buhari till his last day in office only to come now and tell us that Tinubu inherited a dead economy.

All these goes to show that Yorubas have poor judgement and are far from sophistication.
Nigerians should open their eyes wide and stop voting for anybody majority of Yorubas support and I think that is going to be the beginning of wisdom.
Just think about this.

Igbos supported Obasanjo, Yaradua, and Jonathan

Yorubas supported. Buhari and tinibu

Judge for yourself

Exactly. Reason why I love the anti Igbo grandstanding in Rivers state. We for build all those industry in Onitsha, Nnewi and Aba inside PH. Yorubas should look into their hinterland towns and stop deceiving themselves with Lagos
Don't mind them, the IGR they used to boast , they will be shocked at the next release, Abia will double their own while enugu will triple theirs. Not to talk about development going on in these states, if you see the prototype of the flyover nwifuru is building in Abakalili you will marvel.
As am talking to you there is a fierce developmental competition among south east governors and none wants to carry last.

Only South/South is richer
You don't get it 4 states in south east are viable only Ebonyi is trying to pick up economically but in your South West ekitit, osun, and Ondo are comatose then Lagos detaching herself from Ogun will be a heavy blow to the state

What nonsense allegation is this?
So if the village head refused to collect the 700k, the bandits will not have access to his community?
Nigerian security forces has collapsed. In fact, that's the reason why the Army is now resorting to terrorising any community where soldiers are killed.
This is what I was thinking loudly in my mind.
Does bandits need approval from any fvcking village head to carry out their nefarious activities ?

This is mega project Awka use beat the cities in Southeast AMC
Awka beat what ?
A one road town beats all City in south east ?
Aba alone has more dual and covered drainage than the entire Anambra state.

Enugu city has times 2 the entire dualized road in Anambra state.

Abakalili has more dualized road than the entire Anambra state

Owerri has times two the number of dualized road than the entire Anambra state

Note that I am not talking about Awka here but the entire state.

You just got airport two years ago and remains the only south east state with no railway track.
I wonder how your primitive people will react the first time they will see rail track

Even ordinary shopping mall just opened in your state two years ago decades after those in enugu and Owerri have experienced it.

Your backwardness in the region is embarrassing

Can you compare this eyesore with the state owned Concorde hotel in Owerri built over 40 years ago ? Or even the uncompleted enyimba hotel in Aba ? Their are about 20 private owned hotels in Owerri that are bigger and better than this not to talk of Concorde hotel.

Awka was created by Military government and one of the first military administrator was from Abia state, Commodore Emeka Omerua. Why didn't the people who created Awka lay a foundation of a capital town?

Today, we have taken Awka beyond people expectations and we are just getting started. Soludo is not sleeping and we have confidence in him. I don't know if you are from Abia state but you need to concern yourself with your state's business
See lame excuse, so if it was created by the military, you won't plan it again ? By.the way who created Abakalili, Owerri and Umuahia ? Is it not the same military or are they not planned ? The truth is that you don't have good administrators, Awka could have been planned in the early 2000 before it becomes built up but your governors are afraid of big projects, now it is late.
Onitsha is also unplanned nnewi is an urban jungle. Your local governors are mediocres such that Abakalili of yesterday is now ahead of Awka in infrastructure and urban planning.

Keep blaming the military as if there is any state in this country that was not created by the military

Modified

Emeka Omeroa was never the governor of present Anambra state but rather the governor of old Anambra state with capital at Enugu while Walter Feghabur from Delta state was the first military governor of present Anambra state but I don't blame you for the ignorance because you people over there are empty just like the owner of this thread

Now that Otti barely tarred few roads you lots are crawling out from your holes to disrespect Anambra. But Anambra is so far ahead there is no competition. You actually think Soludo I'd just sitting down doing nothing? 😂😂😂
Jealous of what exactly, Awka ? A one road city with only local suspended flyover to show? flyovers that were poorly constructed such that heavy duty vehicles are bared from plying them ? It is only in Anambra you will see a suspended flyover.
I can't be jealous of your backward state abeg

That is a federal road Oga
Your governors have no signature project. Only Obiano tried with airport and conference center but couldn't deliver any grand road project.
No standard stadium
No standard hotel
No single planned city
Both Awka and Onitsha are all about enugu Onitsha express way, everything in these cities revolves along this road, just passing along the road, you will see government house, house of assembly, revenue house, ABS, Centra Bank, library, women development center, unizik, state secriateriat, udoka housing estate, ngozika housing estate, etc
Which state ever have all her institutions along an express road ? What you need to know Awka is just to transverse the enugu Onitsha express away and you must have seen everything about Awka, result of unplanned city.
You guys need to plan your towns before coming out to disgrace igbos because if Anambra is the most developed or developing state in Igbo land, it means Igbo land is backward .
