Envious mind I feel your pain
Envious on what exactly? I am from south east and if truth must be told, your state is the less developed in the region now.
Just look at open gutters everywhere with unplanned settlement. Your governors both former and present don't have the ball to deliver a signature project and you can't develope with these mediocre infrastructures.

Bellow is a road project delivered by a governor within one year in office, no Anambra governor in history has ever done such ambitious project. Obi did the umunya head bridge but it was a federal road and he was reimbursed but this particular one is pure state project. You can also see how drainages are covered in a sane clime

Few years ago, Nairalanders were comparing Awka to Lokoja, but quickly Awka outpaced Lokoja. The pace at which Awka and Asaba opened up is breath taking.

How time flies
. there was never a time Awka was at the same level with lokoja, as early as late or early 2000, Awka was already a sparkling capital city, they have never been mate in terms of development.
Awka is in the league of Asaba

Awka is unplanned, what I see here is fine buildings in an unplanned arrangement, .
No Anambra governor since 1999 deemed if fit to plan the city , quiet pathetic.

On a side note, the so called dualization of temp site is a mockery of the word " road dualization" just look at the size of the so called dualized road, look at the median .
Anambra government is a joke

kedeojo:
pat Uromi is delta igbo from delta north and most of them claim igbo. Okonjo iweala that you people boasted of is she not delta igbo too just like pat Uromi. All his actions and outburst against Tinubu during campaign prove that. He is not politically relevant in delta state only on tv you see him speaking big Grammer's. He keep jumping from one party to another because he want to be minister of finance. He left pdp when he was over look by Jonathan and pick Okonjo iweala to support the mergers in 2014 that becomes Apc and he make sure he try so hard to demarket Jonathan, thinking if buhari won he will be given the finance portfolio and when he was snubbed again, he started writing and talking against buhari. He used to be very close to Tinubu but he realizes that Tinubu will prefer another person. He was the presidential candidate of labour party and couldn't bring popularity but have to relequinch the ticket to Obi in exchange for finance minister he had been crying and struggling for over the years for and that was the reason he insulted Tinubu at any given opportunity. Why is he crying, what he has sow is what he is reaping now.
Pat Utomi is not an Igbo man so leave igbos out of this, note that igbos are only in the five south east states that are less in size than Ibadan.
As for Okonjo Iweala, she is Igbo by marriage.
You people should stop shifting the goal post abeg

I know that spot. The soldiers there are gentle. Never harsh on civilians. Why kill these men that are working to feed their families? Some of them are even fellow Igbos.

Thanks.
Good for you, burning things disqualifies one from rulling Nigeria , properties that can be replaced but mass killings in the north and ritual killings in the south west qualifies them to rule.

Please spare us the noise. We are backwards and happy with our “backwardness”.

You should explain what the non-indigenes you claim invested in the SW are doing there considering that migration, everywhere worldwide , only moves to areas of greater economic success and availability of opportunities.

Only in aberrant Nigeria we see people so naturally wicked and ungrateful, like you, to the extent their innate disposition is to hate on, demonize and badmouth their Yoruba hosts.

Gracious, tolerant and accommodating hosts who happen to own the most prosperous region of Nigeria, by far, with the biggest middle class, job opportunities, spending power and potentials for inward attraction for FDI in our Country. Yet they only get hatred and insult from covetous, bitter and hateful sadists like you.

Just know that God does not bless ingrates who never wish others well or payback kindness and hospitality with malevolence just because your Yoruba hosts are not allowing you to take over every aspect of their society including their local politic and administrations.

It will never be well with those sort of people.
80© of investment in Ogun are done by none indigenes especially the expatriates but look at how Ogun is looking in this picture.

Outdated houses everywhere and I am sure these houses don't have toilets.

Even the North has gone ahead of you guys, just keep wallowing in your delusion

You are free to expressed you demented way of thinking. Dont be naive , those places you mentioned , the activities was it towards "We want to defend our people" or crimanality. Those aforementioned instances are two different ball game. How can you said you want to fight for your people freedom and start destroying their properties at the same time? How , think.
Their is nothing to think about here, both scenario boils down to criminality, one acted because their illegal order was flaunted and even at that they allowed the occupants to go down before burning the vehicles while the other has no reason whatever, just invaded a market and start shooting any moving object and in your warped thinking that is a lesser evil while those that burnt properties are the demons that should put their home in other before talking about ruling Nigeria.

I am not even talking about the frequency of these attacks here
More people have been killed in Kaduna this year alone than all the people killed in the entire south east within the same period but that doesn't disqualify the region from aspiring to rule Nigeria.
Make una continue with the hypocrisy

Secondly , they are just doing them selves.
The region where properties were burnt in the market are not qualified to be president but the region where 12 people were killed in a market the same day are well qualified and indeed born to rule.

Why should a mosque be attached to palace in a Christian dominated town ? 80% of both kuteb and jukun who are the two tribes contending for the traditional stool are christians, so what justifies the attachment ?

The gullibility of northern christians is the reason moslems are taking advantage of them., Even when you ask any of the tribe to nominate whom they want to be the Ukwe , they must nominate a Muslim just as am seeing Ahmadu , Ahmadu here, who really bewitched these people ?

Must a must be attached to the palace ?
Politics / Re: Umuahia 6 Lane Expressway Completed (pictures) by Objectivist04: 10:28pm On May 28
I don't fancy his choice of median, look so poor to me.
Something wider that can accommodate trees would have given the road better esthetic,. unfortunately this what he is also using the demarcate the pH road in Aba.

I think someone needs to advise him on this

Almost all of your folks with businesses in that region do not have those businesses or their extensions in their own region. I don't know why you do not see things clearly like this. Maybe I know. It is because people from that region are extreme tribalists and unaccommodating. It beggars reason that you people can open your mouth and say things like this

Mba addressed press conference today, though Mba has not completed any tangible project one year after his inauguration, I still thumped up for him over the press conference.
Ugwuanyi in 8 years never addressed a press conference.

Never interacted with Enugu citizens directly either by social media, radio or television.

Newspaper has never quoted Ugwuanyi throughout his 8 years tenure

Ugwuanyi never made a national statement.

Ugwuanyi never commented on any burning issue In the country, even during the naira redesign he never made a comment.

Ugwuanyi never addressed an audience without reading from a written note.

Mba is ambitious and courageous, we wait to see how it goes

You guys are clowns, is unity school your standard?, Is there any difference between unity school cut off marks and common entrance?. Your state has education board, they set the scores in conjuction with the school management. The cut off marks in SW are also high, if they like, your state can set their scores to 2, nobody will contest it. Your level is unity school standard, ours is far ahead.
. shifting the goal post anytime you are caged, is their anything like educationally disadvantaged in Nigeria ? If yes is it not the northerners ? If there cutoff mark is low is it not because they are disadvantaged educationally ? Then if that of Anambra is the highest, higher than your so call sophisticated region doesn't it shows that Anambra is ahead of all the states in your region. ,?
And before you change the narrative, the cut off mark is determined by federal ministry of education not by individual states

Politics / Re: FG Backs New Satellite Pay TV (SLTV) To Give Nigerians Value For Money by Objectivist04: 9:32am On Apr 28
Aside pay per view, another plan I will suggest for pay tv operators is " channel selection"
A lot of people don't watch up to 1/4 of channels in their plan , so why not make it this way.
Tag price on channels, you can price sport channel at a premium since they paid hugely to obtain the right.
Let's say any other channel costs #200 per month while sports channels cost #400 per month. I can decide to select
Arise tv. 200
Channels 200
TVC. 200
Afia tv. 200
BBC. 200
Aljezera 200
3 diff sports channels 1200
That means I will pay 2400 for the month while other channels not subscribe should be blocked.
I think this is a very good idea that will enable every one to select their preferred channels and pay only for them. They can triple the price of EPL or UEFA Champions league channels if they like .

Then again, the insinuation that Anambra state was 26th then up to 1st, is another lies told repeatedly. The question is, who is ranking secondary and pry schools in Nigeria?, definately not WAEC, or NECO. So, where are you guys getting these unfounded statistics?
Pls tell us why Anambra has the highest cutoff mark in unity school, more than Lagos Tinubu built and also ekitit the so called fountain of knowledge since it is not about ranking.

Stop saying what you don't know. Regina pacis formerly known as social center was one of the school returned to Catholic church by Mr Peter obi. When I was a still a student at Onitsha, that school was one the lowest ranked school . It was a school for house helps. If you have a girlfriend in that school u won't be proud to say it. That is the school everybody is celebrating now. It was obi that turn around their story.
This is a contradiction, the poster says it is a highly rated school paying 100k per term as at then, even with the structure it is clear that you are lying about the school being for houses girls.
Pls note that my argument has nothing to do with Obi handing the school back to the church, just to debunk what appears to be untruth
