If Wike is sincere, the commission should be headed by a judge that is not from Rivers State or even the South South. When Amaechi set up his own commission upon becoming Governor in 2007, it was headed by the retired judge of the Supreme Court, Late Justice Kayode Esho. The commission sat in Abuja.

Oloshi gone are the days we use rivers funds to enrich Yoruba Lawyers.

Rivers money for rivers people we have competent Lawyers in Rivers State.

They have never been in Port Harcourt and they are in Obio Akpor and not in PH even as at now. I dont think you are a Rivers man.

Ya we all know there's port Harcourt l.g.a in rivers state. But the Port Harcourt we all refer to today is bigger than one l.g.a . Hope you've also heard of Greater port Harcourt?

Back to the Topic , The said road is of immense importance to rivers people and the state at large.
The road plays host to Rivers state television (RSTV), Radio rivers transmission station. The road is also known as old refinery road., a major link to the Refinery and other major industries , It's also a link to the popular Oil mill Market.

So this is a Good Project.

My anger is , all these places are not home to Rivers people. The residents there are mainly non Rivers natives. Why is Rivers state govt not concentrating on where Rivers people live and wasting money on places non natives live ? We need Rivers villages developed.. Mennn when will that happen ? How many Rivers people live in this slaughter road ?

They are home to which set of people?

The Elenwo community I knew was a farmland. Today I am sure Ngwa Igbo people have flooded it to claim it as their native land.. All the Ikwere farmlands are already flooded with migrant Igbos including WOJI the forest back in the days.

How will you address Elelenwo and Woji communities as Farmlands?
They have always been key towns in Port Harcourt.

"The previous administration played politics with the
Oil Mill-Elelenwo-Akpajo, deliberately refusing to
construct the major road.

Because Elelenwo Community Massively Supported their Son Hon.Okey Chinda a core PDP community.
Amaechi refused to construct this all important Old Refinery Road.

Why not rename the state university in ph instead of the polytechnich in Bori?

Ken-Saro was a hero , Naming the polytecnic in his home town BORI after him was the right thing to do.

In the nearest future Federal University Otuoke will be Renamed after GoodLuck Jonathan.

Politics / Hadiza Bala Usman Founder #BBOG, Appointed Chief Of Staff by OboloMAN: 4:12pm On Jun 29, 2015
Nasir El-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state, has appointed Hadiza Bala Usman as his chief of staff samuel Aruwan, the governor’s spokesman, made the announcement on Monday.

Bala Usman is a notable figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), where she served in a number of committees and capacities key among, which are administrative secretary of the Buhari presidential campaign organisation, secretary of the APC elections planning committee, and member of the APC strategy committee.

She was also director of finance in the Nasir El-Rufai campaign organisation, and later the Kaduna state APC campaign council.

The Zaria-born activist came into national reckoning in April 2014 when she started the #Bringbackourgirls BBOG) movement to pressure the government into stepping up efforts towards the quick rescue of more than 200 schoolgirls abducted from their hostel at Chibok, Borno state.

The group, which she co-founded with Obiageli Ezekwesili, former minister of education, faced stiff opposition from the past government of Goodluck Jonathan.

Owing to her membership of the APC, the Jonathan government discredited the group as working for the Opposition and accused it of plotting to bring down the administration.

For her humanitarian efforts, the business administration graduate was named among the most influential women of 2014 by Financial Times (FT) while CNN named her as the most inspiring woman of 2014.

Ezekwesili has expressed delight with Hadiza’s appointment.

The Igbo's and Efiks were traditional farmers.

While the Obolo's and other ijaw ethnic groups were sea faring Fishermen. That's the major reason the Ijaws occupy the entire coastline of the niger delta.

pazienza:

The Obolo language is "Ibibiod" with little Igbo and few Ijaw words. That's the truth.

Obolo is distinct from Ibibio , the little traces of igbo & ibibio found in obolo language came in through Igbo & Ibibio slaves who were allowed to settle in obolo after slave trade was abolished.

The core central obolo spoken within Ngo axis of Andoni L.G.A rivers state is well defined. You find majority of ibibio influence in the one spoken in Ibeno axis of akwa ibom.

Obolo , ibibio , efik are never the same thing
