Infact all the major roads in Port Harcourt were done by Amaechi with the exception of Aba Road and East-West Road.

Iwofe Road, Rumuokwurusi-Igwuruta Road, Psychiatric Road, Slaughter/Woji Road and few others are at various stages of completion. This is with exception to several minor roads and streets.

I was expecting to see newly built roads on your list.
By the way majority of those roads you listed are already fading away.

What about the so many abandoned road projects such as Eagle Island – IIaobuchi link road, Egbelu/Ogbogoro road,
Rumuolumeni road, Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro unity road amongst others.

Thank God for WIKE & Julius Berger, Our roads will be better again.

When did he discuss d modalities and terms of contract with Julius Berger because its certainly a contract and not for free?
Under what budget is he appropriating d funds for this project because d budget has already been passed and all ministries already submitted and got their budgets for various projects approved.
Even at that is there no ministry of works?If JB has to be contracted to fill potholes, what do workers in d ministry do?
At this age and with d new era we have entered,its expected that Nigerians see beyond d foolish things some governors do all in order to hoodwink d gullible.
Wike has started too cheaply and too childishly to know his is a governor illfitted for his office.Thank God the election that brought him will soon be annulled.

You should have channeled that question to Amechi who was giving billion naira contracts to his Cohorts, friends & family without due process and paying for the jobs upfront.

Amaechi years past, did something of this nature, but instead of closing up the potholes on our roads, he increased their sizes. Foolish man!

I'm happy to see JB again after many years of having left the state. Let JB replicate in Rivers state what it has done in Akwa Ibom!

Yes , Amaechi left port Harcourt roads in a big mess , Thanks to Wike for bringing Julius Berger back to Port Harcourt. Now our roads can look like those in Akwa Ibom.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has flagged
off the reconstruction of Port Harcourt roads to ease traffic
in the state capital.

Governor Wike performed the flag off of the road reconstruction programme tagged : "Operation Zero
Potholes ", after inspecting the guard of honour at the
Government House, Port Harcourt.

The flag off of the Operation Zero Potholes took place at
three locations, namely Borokiri, UTC Junction and
Azikiwe in Diobu.

He explained that the operation zero potholes programme
is aimed at restoring Port Harcourt and making it a pride
of the people.

Governor Wike said all the potholes in the state capital
will be addressed for free flow of traffic to improve the
productivity of the people.

He said : " We wish to assure you that hope has returned
and Rivers State shall once again be the pride of our
nation."We shall develop the right road infrastructure in the state in our effort to rebuild the comatose economy of the State"

He added that his administration will develop key roads
across the state to improve rural economies and empower
the people.
