It happened to me too, about a month ago; same Rambo Gongon counterfeit. I discovered mine when I peeled off the price tag, I was bewildered as to how we got to where we are in this country. Dear pastor, in as much as you've made some sensible points there, respecting my husband against all odds is a No No for me. The book of Ephesians 5 is very clear on this subject. Husband love, and wife submit, hence love precedes submission. But you make it seem as though I should respect my husband no matter what. How would I respect a man who doesn't care if I exist or not? He earns my respect by loving me, it's as simple as that. As the head of the family, he has to lead by example. God is not an author of confusion.

Don't ever subscribe to that school of thought that marriage is for better, and for worse; it is not biblical.
God intends for marriage to be honourable (spiritually, physically, financially etc). Marriage is a good thing- Prov. 18:22, and from the beginning, everything about marriage was VERY GOOD (God's original plan- Gen 1: 31, 2:18) until Adam sinned, and the punishment came. But thank God for Jesus Christ, our second and last Adam. With Christ in your marriage, the original plan of God for a happy and home is possible.

There is this book I recently purchased from Dominion bookstore, Success in Marriage, authored by Bishop David Oyedepo and wife. The book is all-encompassing. This book (and 5 others on the same subject matter) has moulded me ready for marriage. Though I'm yet to be married, but preparing towards a blissful marriage is paramount for a hitch-free marriage. You don't prepare IN marriage, you prepare FOR marriage. So aside from ''waiting for the bible to tell us when to poo'', I think we have to work towards having an Honourable marriage first, and by following biblical guidelines, God will complement our effort.
