PoliticsRead What Senator Ngige Thinks About Apga(the Igbo Party) by oboy3(op): 4:09pm On Sep 26, 2013
Anambra 2013: Senator chris Ngige wrote;
On the so called Igbo Party (APGA). I hear
people say that APGA led by victor umeh; that
they parrade themselves as the igbo
party;and we ask them, who are the igbos
that are in this party? Apart from chief
chukwuemeka odimegwu ojukwu,who died
the other day,who else?.I am not there,Rochas
okorocha is not there,Prof ben Nwabueze is
not there,Sen ike Ekweremmadu is not
there. Most of the igbo governors are not
there, something must be wrong with them!
And they have enclave only in Anambra and in
Anambra they don't even win elections,in the
three senatorial zones in the state.they have
no senators, and they say it is igbo party! Are
they saying that igbos have rejected their
party?.The answer is NO,APGA is a cabal three
persons from Agulu,Agulu uzoigbo;Victor
umeh,Agulu-Nnukwu,Peter obi and Nwobu
alor his uncle,Agulu. These are the three
persons parrading as APGA.And touting it as
igbo party. There must be a limit to deceit. That
deceit has gone on for too long.As we speak
today, what have they done in other states to
show that APGA is an igbo party? They are
busy feathering their nests.when they quarrel
over their loot they bring everybody in and
say that APGA is quarreling;when they
reconcile, they kiss themselves on TV. I Dr chris
Nwabueze Ngige cannot be deceived because
I know the people involved.I know the
dramatic personae and they know that I
know them-----with Dr chris ofume.

I'd rather not we go there.

Oh ok. How do they say "how are you" using "ndee"?

And does anyone know exactly what parts of Enugu speak "ife"?
ndee etu unu melu?/ndee ka i me? Or just 'ndee'?
CultureRe: Igbo learning thread + Translator by oboy3(m): 12:02pm On Aug 19, 2013
Antivirus92: ndee does not serve as their kedu. We use the two interchangably.
ok,but they mean same
CultureRe: Igbo learning thread + Translator by oboy3(m): 9:08am On Aug 19, 2013
odumchi: In parts of Abia and Enugu we also say 'ndaa'/'ndee'.

What part(s) of Anambra say 'ife' and speak "kedu ife fa fulu na ife afu?" A while ago, I used to think all of Anambra spoke like that, but I've realized it isn't so.

Are there any parts of Anambra that say "nwuola" instead of "nwurugo onwu" for "has died"?
all of anambra north(onitsha, ogbaru, oyi e.t.c) and some parts of anambra centre speak ife
CultureRe: Igbo learning thread + Translator by oboy3(m): 9:01am On Aug 19, 2013
odumchi: So you would greet someone 'ndee'? And which one do you say: "ndee ka I mere/melu" or just "ndee"?
ya,ndee ebea i na aga?,ndee ebea o no?e.t.c,ndee serves as their kedu/kee

ok,i thought majority of idemili called it eshi
CultureRe: Igbo learning thread + Translator by oboy3(m): 1:16am On Aug 19, 2013
Odenigbo Aroli: I want everybody to bear in mind that the use of "sh".in Umuoji is very minimal and the pronounciation is very different from the Owerri and Nssuka people. When an elderly person in Umuoji wanna say "I don't know" they will say "amashom" but like I said earlier on the thread Umuoji has two lects. Southern part of Umuoji speak a bit different from the northern part. I have heard my dad told somebody "I na asu ka ndi mgbago". Meaning, you speak like people from the northern part of Umuoji.

You do hear people from my town say "osi onni" ? . Meaning, what did he say it is ? And so on.
that osi onni is almost way the owerri say theirs, they say "oshi nini',idemili dialects are intresting,do your people call cow 'eshi'?
CultureRe: Igbo learning thread + Translator by oboy3(m): 1:01am On Aug 19, 2013
odumchi: Yes. Ohafia people speak with 'sh'. I think it's also present in the Umuahia area.
i am forced to think that they are all related,i might be wrong though

even in Abia?
CultureRe: Igbo learning thread + Translator by oboy3(m): 9:57pm On Aug 18, 2013
odumchi: Where does this 'sh' factor originate? Why is it that in random parts of Igboland you find the 'sh' sound? Why do people speak 'sh'?
not sure where it originated from but i know owerri, awka, some part of enugu speak it
