By Bruno Mbanaso Obi made a surprise and unscheduled visit to Holy Ghost Adoration Ministries with his entourage, says the proprietor of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministries, Rev Father Emanuel Obinma aka Ebube Monso. Gov. Obi had in his broadcast claimed to have been invited by the Reverend father, but the spiritually gifted clergy confided in a close friend and worshipper in the church that what Obi is broadcasting to the state in not correct, as he did not invite him, but could not have asked him to leave once he had come. Our source states: ‘Rev. Obinma as visibly angry, based on the false claim by the governor in a state-wide broadcast, which gives the impression that our church is being mixed up with politics.’ ‘Well, we do not ask people to leave when they come here, We open our hands to receive all, because that is the nature of soul-winning, but to say that we sent a written invitation to him ( Gov Obi) to attend our vigil on November 1, 2013 is to say the least worrisome’ Rev Obinma was quoted as saying. According to our very reliable source, the catholic priest is yet to make up his mind whether to join issues publicly with Gov. Obi but is very resolute about straightening the records on the issue of a written invitation to the governor’. Gov Obi had attended a night vigil in the Adoration Centre at 2.00am last Saturday along with Candidate of APGA in November 16 governorship polls, Mr Wilie Obiano, National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh,Director General of Willie Obiano Campaign Organisation, Chief Joe- Martins Uzodike, also the Commissioner for Information,Mr Oke Udeh erstwhile Deputy Governor who betrayed Dr Chris Ngige in office as a governor, and one Ifeanyi Ibezi, a native of Abatete, among others. There attempt to speak to the crowd and convince them to vote for Obiano failed, as the people initially protested the mix- up of worship with politics. However, when Obi insisted on having his way, the crowd burst into a song, rendering praises to Senator Dr Chris Ngige, Obi’s political rival and candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), a development which angered Obi. Peter Obi at the Adoration Grounds It took the intervention of Rev Fr Obinma for Obi to speak at all to the people, who became uncontrollable again when the governor asked them to vote for Obiano who was beside him in the uniformed delegation. Obiano has since denied attending the vigil with Governor Obi, while Obi’s broadcast to the state carefully omitted the name of the faltering candidate of Obi’s political party. Controversy has ensued over the actual time of departure of the governor from the venue, and how it relates to the stampede which eventually recorded a death casualty of 61 persons as the governor claims to have left at 3.00am ,while eye-witnesses say the governor and his entourage were in Uke ill the adoration closed at 5.20 am. ‘Look, telling you the story as someone who was there, forget all you hear those who felt angered by the governors intrusive presence simply hauled sachet water and other things at him ,leading to the decision of his security details to shoot into the air and release some www.247ureports.com/catholic-priest-denies-inviting-obi-to-uke-adoration-centre/ |
gurnam: I see some paid Obi / Obiano's gooons all over the thread trying hard to defend the indefensible....gbam just imagine it was ngige who went to campaign in the vigil and people got stomped to death just imagine what these same people protecting obi would have said about ngige most of them are not even based in anambra, anybody is anambra knows that obiano is non-existence except to aguleri people the names on people mouth is ngige and ifeanyi ubah |

the blames should all go to peter obi,he caused it all, imagine campaigning in a vigil and in a town away from ngige's hometown where there is no government prescence at all,do you think the people will welcome you with open hands, the roads which uke people enjoy were built by ngige's administration even the 2km errosion ridden road leading to the ground was leveled to normalcy by ngige's contractors just last week yet ngige knows best than disrupting the ministry when he promised to tar their roads in their roads in two weeks, that was when the booing took a higher crescendo, peter should just jejely apologise to ndi idemili and anambrarians as a whole |
MOHPHETH: DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE WHAT YOU SAID OR JUST CAMPAIGN STRATEGY?you are really funny o,So i should suppress the obvious truth becaue election is near? |
meanwhile umeh and obi are busy claiming ngige caused the stampede, now ifeanyi has cut their lies short, fact is that obi has killed more igbos than any single person ever, but i dont trust nigeria the truth would soon be swept under the carpet ones gmgs changes hands |
crackhouse: in as much as I don't like Willie, I still believe this story is fake.you think it is fake?now see what obiano said about it,and tell us if its fake or not Chief Willie Obiano: My people, it's so sad that people have heated up the Anambra polity to the point of using the death of our beloved brethren to scavenge for public opinion. Now I call that callous and evil! My supporters have never been known for violence and will never be. Remember that he who throws a stone into the market will hurt his own kinsman. My heart goes to families that lost their loved ones, I mourn with you. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace with our Lord. Amen. |
oraka desmond wrote on facebok:::hmmm,smh,how many does obi want to kill before he leaves that seat?first it was the shoot at sight command for massobians at onitsha in 2006 which killed over 50 ndigbos later ezu river where 40 bodies were found, and now this? Obi Chukwu nwe ikpe |
my sister just came back from the vigil some hours back and confirmed the news, obi is really qite and a wicken human beign, the crowds were screaming onwa,so his goons gave the crowd a chase flogging them, people fell i the process and were stampeded to death, obi God must surely judge you,is this the new measure you want to take in reducing ngige's voters,by killing them?idemili shall haunt you forever,,,ideenna have spoken |
“Sen. Ngige also came with his people and the Priest Rev. Fr. Evaristus Ezeokwonu was at the gate receiving the guests and he told Ngige that we cannot take all his people which he accepted. Infact the priest gave Ngige more number of people and he went into the VIP before the incident happened” “Stories came to us that Ngige security aides attacked the priest and we drew the attention of Ngige who came out to ask what happened. Ngige asked for the policemen and we discovered that the police men were not those that came with Ngige. ‘’Later the three police men who actually pushed the gate came to apologize to the priest and they shook hands and we said ok. Nobody slapped the priest what people are saying is absolutely wrong and I can assure you that no priest would have been attacked. No priest or the church spoke to anybody. “We know that during the political era people would want to do one thing or the other in order to achieve one or two aims. But we in the church, we do not get involved in politics we do not play politics. The allegation is absolutely false”. Rev Dr Peter Akaenyi,Chancellor Awka diocese publicly putting a lie to the Apga stories that Ngige slapped a Priest. |
this prof na correct, once he steps down obi must vomit all he has gathered while in office, obiano's deputy even admited that there are massive corruptions in obi's tenure, and obi still hasnt mustered enough liver to rebute ngige's claim of unrecorded 3trillion naira allocation |

Ngige didn’t attack me, says Catholic priest October 29, 2013 • By daily Editor By Okey Maduforo (Awka) and Chukwujekwu Ilozue (Onitsha) Four days after an orderly attached to All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 16 election in Anambra State, Chris Ngige, allegedly assaulted a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Ezeokwonna, the controversy raised by the action has refused to die down. A group in the church, Catholic Youth Awareness Group, has demanded a written and published apology from Ngige. But the cleric told reporters that Ngige did not slap him, attributing the allegation to those he termed “desperate politicians”. Ngige’s orderly was accused of assaulting Rev. Fr. Ezeokwonna, Parish Priest of St. John’s Catholic Church, Ezinifite, in Aguata local council area and Chaplain of Man of Order (MOD), while he was carrying out the duty assigned to him during the burial of the mother of the Catholic Bishop of Awka, Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor, last Thursday. The incident was said to have occurred at Nanka in Orumba North local council. In a release signed by Chairman, Catholic Youth Awareness Group, Benjamin Nnoli, on Monday, made available to journalists, the group said Ngige should render a “written apology to the entire Catholic Church, and should be copied to the Bishop, the Priest involved and published in two national dailies and the Diocesan newspaper, Fides”. But, Ezekwonna said he neither had any encounter with Ngige, nor did he (Ngige) or any of his security aides confront him at any time during the funeral at Nanka town Orumba North Council Area. He frowned at what he called campaign of calumny and display of desperation by some politicians, who he said, would do anything thing possible to win election including tarnishing the image of fellow brethren in the Christian fate. Also, in a release, Director, Media and Publicity in the Ngige Campaign Organisation, Charles Amilo, stressed that with Anambra State gubernatorial elections coming very close, people no longer have respect, and the organisation expects more of such. Amilo said the allegation is the work of fiction. Meanwhile, the Anambra Catholic Community has expressed dismay over what it called the use of the church as a weapon for political blackmail and name-dropping warning politicians to leave the Catholic church alone. According to Sir, Livinus Maduka who spoke to reporters on Monday on behalf of a body known as Catholic Faithful for Change (CFC), “The story of a senator attacking a priest of the Catholic Church is yet another display of desperation and rascality on the part of these politicians who must exploit every slightest avenue to marlin the image of their opponents. “Its is on record that Ngige is a Knight of St. John in the Catholic Church and has contributed immensely to the spread of the gospel though sponsoring of priestly ordinations, donations to parishes and Diocese projects in the Catholic Church. He has always stake the balance of assisting both the Anglican and Pentecostal community hence one wonders how he could go out of his way to attack a priest” He maintained that Ngige has security details and protocol officers who has the duty of ensuring his safety hence the story of him attacking a priest is baseless and cannot be substantiated in any form or manner. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2013/10/ngige-didnt-attack-me-says-catholic-priest/ |
