Hi Obie, sorry for the belated response.
While preparing for my writing, I consulted both Liz and Jay depending on what I was looking for. I tried to tailor the writing to meet the band descriptors for a 9.
For part 1, I only had to understand the tone for each type of letter and their closing. For instance, not to sound overly formal or too informal in a semi-formal letter.
Part 2. For task achievement, I tried as much as possible to address the question even when I had other interesting but not so relevant things to write about. For each paragraph, I stated an idea/opinion, gave reasons for my opinion and gave an example. I think Jay taught this. I also tried to meet my word count.
Coherence and Cohesion: I gave each distinct idea a separate paragraph. Within each paragraph, I let my ideas (not sentences) dove-tail for the reader to better understand. I also made a robust use of connectors to connect my sentences.
Lexical Resource: I used compound sentences every chance I got and I learnt on ieltsliz how to punctuate them appropriately. Making compound sentences without proper punctuations may do more harm than good. I also tried to employ the language of the trade I was writing about. For instance, I could use the word “battalion” instead of “a group of soldiers “, “carbon emissions” instead of “releasing carbon into the atmosphere “ etc.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: I used a couple of idiomatic expressions but only where they fit. I also tried to use more exotic than simple words, but I made sure not to sacrifice spelling on the alter of grandiloquence.

I can’t really discuss my speaking because I kept stuttering and speaking off the topic.

You will excel though.

Thanks alot.

The reality is that restricted admission, wait until application deadline, and then start to decide on the mark to use in awarding study place, which mostly fall around August, and we know the situation of things in Nigeria where we have huge number of applicant and state for visa appointment is limited. My own idea is always apply to one that is not restricted early and still apply to restricted, so u can use the unrestricted to book while waiting for restricted.

As it stands now it will be very difficult to get appointment date by August, not impossible though
If as at June 14 people are getting September 5, Imagine August

Please how can I know restricted course and unrestricted course..

You need to read the first few pages of this thread. The Radio guys I know don't come on this thread again.

Your need to write IELTS Academic and score 7 bands and above in each module.
get your transcript and visit ASMIRT site to checkout the required documents and then apply for assessment.
After you get your assessment, you can apply for visa if you have accumulated more than 60 points.
Or you can approach states for nomination. The last time i checked, there are many states nominating Medical Radiographers.

Key: 7 in each module of IELTS.

OK,
Thanks. Please are you a medical radiographer, if so?

Can I chat u privately?

Hi,

Let me take my time to explain some of the process of obtaining PR "According to my City" and with the best of my knowledge.

First, you need to understand that there´re certain courses that get you jobs faster. If your´re studying a STEM course, then you´re qualified to access the job market easily. STEM means Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. However, you need to have some good command of German even if you work with a Multinational firm. I worked with one and I know why am saying this.

I´ll paint the real and true story here without mincing words.

First, some German does not believe blacks can attain some position and also engage in some challenging task. they get awed when they see blacks over perform at work place especially in Medicine, IT, Engineering. I think they believe our background is not strong enough or something. More-so, their orientation is that most "LAGER" jobs are meant to be done by blacks maybe because of our strength and of course the money involved... I mean working with company like Benz, VW, Amazon, these guys pays really good but they´ll stretch you to the limit. don´t get swayed, a black working in the Office settings is achievable but you have to be on top of your game.

LAGER = FACTORY **

Secondly, When it comes to full time jobs not Aushilfe, or Werkstudent or Holiday jobs which every student can get easily, we are at the bottom ebb of the employment chain. Especially if you have your first degree in another country and perhaps have a Msc in Germany, they tend to consider Germans first, followed by EU candidates, then students with German Arbitur (whether Africa or Asia) because the German Arbitur(Bsc) is very challenging coupled with some technical courses. This they believe would have given you a solid background. Then comes the Americans, Canadians, Asians (Chinese, Japan, e.t.c) South Asian, Africans in that pecking order. Getting a full time jobs allows you access to some financial opportunities like house and car loans and so much but still, Its doable and you´ll have to be well knowledgeable in your field. Now this is where German knowledge plays an important role.. you´re in the office and the Germans are gossiping about you and how they want to frustrate you out of the office, you can easily intercept/decode the communication easily and perhaps escalate it further. Lots happens in the office. though, I have never experience any but I hear stories. The moment you make a little mistake, they report to the boss and its all in GERMAN. They´ll come back laughing with you but hey, you´re being crucified behind closed doors. Also, emails, news and Ads will all be in German and you´ll not like to bore your colleague by always asking him to translate for you cos he´s also on a tight deadline.. you could use google translate but at times, the translation may be wrong and you could be carrying the wrong message. So biko if you have the time and wanna settle here.. LEARN GERMAN LANGUAGE. ITS THE MEAL TICKET HERE !!!

So after getting a job in your FIELD OF STUDY you need to pay your taxes, Insurance and Socials consecutively into the German system for Minimum of 24 months. This will obviously grant you a Niederlassungserlaubnis (Also known as Permanent Resident Permit). But prior to getting the Niederlassung, you can get the so called EU blue card with your job contract. This would allow you to work anywhere in Europe. But its advisable to work in Germany and pay your taxes right there so you can get the PR. If you work in another EU country, then your PR could be extended. The EU blue card can be requested for immediately you get a FULL-TIME job with 40 hours per week and minimum of a certain income.. I think from 2200€ per month after every deductions have been made.

Thirdly, if you are not in the STEM category but would love to earn a PR, you can also work as a Freelancer after your study but in your FIELD. Ensure you have a proof of constant remittance of taxes and socials into the German system for 2 years and you can go ahead to apply. Germany does not joke with taxes and they frown deeply at defaulters. Its not rocket science but people are getting it and Nigerians especially. I need to state here that the system and Law is very complicated and even Germans working in the Auslanderbehorde gets confused. Just do the needful and never try to circumvent or bypass the system.

Lastly, ensure you keep a clean RECORD, don´t dent your Police Character report also known as Führungszeugnis. Once dented, it´s a stigma for life which will follow you everywhere you go. Don´t bypass Taxes, avoid jumping trains and tram without a valid ticket, don´t get into trouble. Live a simple and God fearing life, respect the law, Ignore mofo´s and Racist everywhere you find them and remember to reference God in everything.

May God bless our hustle

I drop my Pen here....!

Wishing everyone Success

Gemeinsam sind wir starke !!!
Together we are Strong !!!

Nice write up,, may God bless you

My own opinion,, if you know that over there that ur earning is very ok for you and u can feed the girl, and still have some cash after all the monthly expenses.

What are you waiting for, pay her bride price and make way for her to come and stay with you over there..

I don't support living the one u love behind, stay off six months even a year without seeing her.. Brother body is not a fire wood. If she's cheating on you. know that is your fault. Even if is one room apartment u are living in over there.. If you truely love ur woman make everything possible for her to be with you over there..

Thats all I can say..

First of all i will personally advice you or anyone that it is key to take a very close look at your study modules and the full description and course content. You can always find this in the school website. From people I have interacted with; i will advice you to take a really good assessment of your academic abilities. If you know that you are above average in intelligence then give those courses (technology and engineering) a try if not run run run!!. Any course carrying the name engineering or technology will most likey consits of mathematics 1, 2 3, maybe physics etc. Trust me the maths you experienced in Nigeria is way way different. Anything Engineering is a full time job. Even when you put in 24 hours into self study the results maybe unexpected. I have close friends fail multiple times and are forced to change courses or even schools( nobody is writing that here but it happens a lot!) Like i always say let uour deciding factor be your course of study. Because you really want to pursue a career in it. As for jobs, nobody will hire you with your Naija bachelors degree. You will most likely need to do unskillful jobs as everyone does no matter the city. Ranging for doing dishes, cleaning, factory / production hand and the likes. Worse come to worse, with a bit of German knock at Macdonlds and they will hire you. Or knock at a hotel you will get rooms to clean. In every city big or small you will find something. Or look for one of the numerous job agents and register they will send yiu to work whenever any job is available.
In summary, go and read your course content slowly and make a decision. Let the course you are reading now be your comforter for a better future here.[/quote)

Thanks

Fehler: Hannover is in Lower Saxony and not Baden wurttemburg

So he´s excluded from the Mandatory 1500 schools fees.

Let me burst your bubble guys. It´s likely gonna get touger coming to germany from next winter because there´s a serious debate of introducing tuition fees in NRW. Knowing fully well that NRW has the most schools in Germany. what does this translate to? This means that other universities in other state will receives almost tripple of admission request. Thereby forcing every other state to emulate the tuition fees.

What does this bring to the table? It means you´ll have to pay a certain tuition fee of 1500€, Semester fees (differs from Uni to Uni) and so much more... This literally means you´ll have to cough out over 10,000€ for your emigration to Germany.. Phew ! Thats a huge sum of money right ?? I have joined my school and informed other students to sign the petition against the introduction. We are just hoping this does not materialize.

Although, the tuition does not affect already enrolled students.

So guys, brace up and make it on time before the big hammer lands !

Gemeinsam sind wir starke

They should not try it yet.. Am still hustling on how to raise money to complete my 9000 euro..

Frank please can you chat me up privately let's talk.. Another radiographer in the house.. Unizik.. That's my email
Chinedum440@yahoo.com.

But let me break down your points for you
Age 31 =30
Education Bsc =15
Experience 6yrs =10points
English = 20 points
Total = 75 points.
If your wife assess as accountant, you will get extra 5 points making it 80 points, but no need for that 75 is good enough already.

For a Medical Profession that is only about 2% filled for the year, I guess you will land a grant immediately you apply, you just have to calmly start the process, Congrats your grant is almost certain. For our assessing body, you need to write Eng test before you can submit for assesement so I guess you have to start there, I have a lot more info, we need to connect in pm, congrats bro!!![/quote]
