As a man if you marry from my village there are things you need to be wary of and your wife committing adultery is one (the most important). If your wife commit adultery and you heard about it but did not care to do anything about it. My brother, your stomach would swell up and you would die. Sicknesses would attack your body, you wither and die abruptly without wasts of time. My ancestors (Ibegwu are very active here) kill anyone that is a victim of wife cheating.


Another one is if you lick your wife or girlfriend private part, you are also in trouble unless you perform some sacrifices to appease the ancestors (Ibegwu). I have seen many women run to the village to perform this sacrifice to the ancestors. One girl did for 2 times. The third time, the Ibegwu asked her to bring goat instead of the normal cock that is required.

This is just a warning to men who want to marry from my village. If you want to live long run to the village and perform the required sacrifices when noticed that your wife is playing away march if not otilor is your case.

We have so many rules which if you go against you would see shege from the Ibegwu's but this one is the most common amongst the folks in the village. If you as a wife no fit deh faithful to your husband, the result must show.

The salary for the month for state civil servants that have worked for 15 years is barely 200,000 naira which is less than 200 dollars which is the amount earned by someone clearing grass in a day in UK.

Once the civil servant gets his salary at the end of the month, he goes depressed as the money can't take him home.

Due to high cost of rentage, he joins contribution of 80,000 naira for 10 people, and this money is for the Landlord at the end of the year.

He gives his wife 60,000 naira for feeding and the wife grudgingly collects it as it is impossible in this present economy to survive with that amount.

He spends on transportation, he also has dependants like his dad and mum and siblings and also hospital bills for his family and that of his parents.

The salary he was receiving 10 years ago has more value than the present salary as naira was stronger then.

The future looks very bleak for the civil servant as there is no more gratuity unlike before as it is now contributory saving as it is what you save is what you will be paid when you retire.

No wonder Directors are now quitting their duty post and travelling out of the country because they see no hope.

I just need some advice abeg.

I recently got a teaching job this term — I’m in my early 20s and I teach Physics to SS2 students. I gave them an assignment on Gas Laws last week, and while marking, one of the girls wrote “masturbate” as her answer.
