Christianity EtcPastors That Are Poor Were Not Called By God – Uma Ukpai by ochobaba(op): 8:06am On May 31, 2016
Dr Uma Ukpai, the president and founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic
Association, has said poor men of God did not receive divine calling.
He also told Daily Independent that it was untrue that people resorted
to Church establishment out of joblessness.
According to Ukpai, “Jesus calls church business. He said, ‘I am about
my father’s business’. He called church work business and what is
business? Business is investment plus gain, minus loss. In church
planting, no pastor can collect offering without giving account and
survive. Every church has elders and the job of the elders is to make
sure that account is given; it is not even publicly but given internally
but the account must be given.
“Church is all about investment and the gain they make is not in
money but in people; that is the gain they make. People also can be
called money because for instance, if a pastor’s ministry can cause 20
women to get pregnant; those women will not forget the pastor. If a
pastor’s ministry can produce one of the richest 10 men in the country,
those men will not forget the man who made them what they are.
“When you are into ministry and you have what we call anointing, you
have become profitable; you begin to touch lives; you begin to bless
people; you begin to change the stories of families and your own story
will change also because the man that waters others shall be watered
by God. There is so much misinformation about the church. It is not all
about money. If your pastor has anointing that can make the blind see,
cripples walk, leprosy to disappear, that pastor is in money.
“The only man you can worry about is a man who has no anointing; a
man who God has rejected; a pastor who God has not approved what
he is doing. God does not bless what he does not approve. If God
approves what a pastor is doing, he will have more money than he can
spend. I am an example.”
On the forthcoming general elections vis-a-vis the challenges of Boko
Haram insurgency, Ukpai said the crisis was part of Nigerian culture.
“There is nothing new happening. We are used to fighting; we are used
to killing and duping one another. People try to magnify little
problems
here and there as things that can overwhelm or swallow Nigeria. Let
me tell you, we shall still be here after 2016. All these problems are old
problems. Nobody has been able to manufacture new ones.
“Even APC (All Progressives Congress) or PDP (Peoples Democratic
Party), they have not been able to manufacture new problems. So, this
country will still be here after 2015. All those stupid prophecies are
from uninformed prophets, who have neither heard from nor seen God.
Take it from me that this country will still be here and intact after
2015”.
Commenting on attacks on Christians in some parts of the country,
Ukpai said persecution had been part of the Christian calling.
Quoting from the Holy Book, Ukpai pointed out that “The Bible
promised us persecution; it did not say we shall not be persecuted.
Secondly, persecution sharpens us and makes us pray better. I would
rather have Christians persecuted than Christians not persecuted,
because the more you persecute Christians, the more they will pray;
the more they will seek after God. Those who seek after God shall
know their God and those who know their God shall do exploit. So, in
the attempt to harm us, they are sharpening us for a better and greater
day.”

Politics14 Things President Buhari Changed Since Assuming Power by ochobaba(op): 5:49pm On May 25, 2016
Straight to point, No time!!! 1. The government closed 40 accounts in NNPC to give room for accountability.
2. The Port Harcourt and Warri refineries are back in operation with 60 per cent capacity and producing 7 million litres of PMS daily. The Kaduna refinery also resumed production at the end of the April, 2016
3. President Buhari directed the CBN to disburse N689.5b as bailout to 27 states to pay salaries.

4. 34,000 The number of ghost workers draining the nation’s resources now expunged from the Federal Civil Service, saving N2.29b in the process. 5 president Buhari saved $1m by his directive stopping the appointment of a government delegation for pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. 6. On assumption of office, the President cut down the number of ministries from 42 to 25 to reduce the cost of governance. 7. $321m The amount Switzerland will repatriate to Nigeria from the illicitly acquired wealth of the Gen. Sani Abacha family. 8. The Nigerian troops has rescued a total of 11,595 in the ongoing operations in the Northeast as at February 2016. 9. The Presidential Committee set up to probe contracts awarded by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) from 2011 to 2015 has recovered N7b. 10. The President secured a $5m support from U.S. government June last year and another $40m in April 2016 for the fight against the terrorists in the sub-region. 11. The government saves $1b annually by the elimination of the Offshore Processing Agreement (OPA) through the introduction of the Direct Sales and Direct Purchase (DSDP) scheme with reputable off-shore refineries 12. The Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries now produce 7m litres of PMS per day. 3. The implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) which stands at N3trillion has provided greater visibility of government revenues and cash flows. A war on high pedestal. 14. Buhari intensified the anti-corruption war which has led to the arrest of high profile public officers. Such cases include the ones against former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesman Olisa Metuh, Daar Communications Chairman Dr Raymond Dokpesi and former Chief of Defence Staff Alex Badeh lemme stop here...add if you wish to

Adaure4ever:
The term "kiss and tell" is very common in the world of men,
and I am yet to see what they enjoy in this act even when they promise you not to do it.
Its very common in the area of Sex, A boy will beg a girl for sex, after she accept and both of you will go and "jigijag". After the sex romp, be rest assured that the guy is going to brag with it to his friends.
Its an irritating character.
I am not a victim of it But many girls have been put through emotional strain because of this act.
BOYS, Whatever that happened between you and that girl should be secret.. KEEP IT SECRET, you stubborn heads.
Thankz..
the last time I did that, this my same friend use same trick I used on my bae to Bleep my own bae ooo

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Just Got A Banking Job But Age Falsification Is Standing In My Way by ochobaba(m): 5:38pm On Jan 21, 2016
adedotman5:
I'm just an interview away from landing a banking job,the last interview is a formality cos the one I've passed is the main interview but I got an issue with my age, I stated on my cv that I'm two years younger than I am. Up till now, I have been using the online print out result for waec in everything I do, but after the last interview, the interviewer said they can't accept it so he told me to go and obtain the original. After much trouble, I obtained the result from my secondary school for 10k and the proprietor said he doesn't give out only waec, since I sat for neco in the school, I must collect both and neco cost 10k also.
Having gotten both, I decided it's better to present the neco result instead of the waec since it's got no age inscribed on it, also I'll be presenting my birth certificate so I just decided the neco is the better option so that my age doesn't contradict. But surprisingly, I was told they need the waec alone and not neco, remember if I present the waec, the age on it is different from the one on the birth certificate and they already have my birth certificate now. Please nairalanders I need your advise on this. Should I present the waec certificate and hope they don't discover, I'm really confused now
Ma brother if buhari certificate can get missing how much less urs
Tell them urs is missing I hope they will understand in case they don't wave them bye bye

RomanceRe: Can A Guy and a lady be "Just Friends"? by ochobaba(m): 9:16pm On Dec 25, 2015
Toks2008:
A MAN OR WOMAN CAN NOT BE JUST FRIENDS WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX

It’s no secret: guys and girls being "just friends" is a concept held by only the dreamers. Any lady who believes that she can be just a friend with a guy other than co-worker, co-student, or just on a platonic hi-hi level is in-fact the most myopic lady to walk on this planet

A guy’s friends consist of, well, only guys. The only reason a guy would go close to a girl would be to date or bed her. No guy is going to waste his time just being a friend with a girl because it’s not like she is a sports freak or a trans-gendered.

Guys have enough guy friends and won’t waste their time listening to ladies talk from a girl just to be their friend. Plain and simple he wants to bed you except of course you don't mind or he has not made it obvious yet.

Guys being friends with girls is a farce: either he wants to sleep with her, or she still believes in unicorns, because a guy cannot genuinely be friends with a girl and its either the lady secretly desires him or vis avis even while one of the two are ignorant of this.

In-fact i always tell a guy or lady to be more at alert when your bae says this about another opposite sex.."we are just friends,we enjoy each other's company,we are just fond of each other" because once you start hearing this from your bae,you should run because fondness is stronger than the feeling of love and what your bae will not dicsuss with you will be discussed freely with that person so of what use is the affair you are having?

I know some people will say not in all cases and i quite agree but there is a simple test to know if there is no hidden notion or surpressed desire so please as a lady just prove me wrong? give that just friend of yours a kiss and watch him stop you. After-all you guys ought to be just friends.

And for the married man, snap out of your delusion and tell yourself hard fact...YOU ARE OLOJU KOKORO...Let your wife be your only friend, best friend and close friend and same for the lady.

Keeping "friends" of the opposite sex while married or committed to someone is an emotional affair and its even worse than actual physical affair.

Just trying to make common sense.
Having a girl as best friend is like having a dog as pet
U will definitely eat it someday

Yanks101:
And what is the relevance of this junk?
I appreciate the creativity of the aba folks , but this is rubbish.
I can't blame them though. It is a problem of lack of national direction and the hopeless nation they have found themselves.
If Nigeria was a feasible country, the significant percentage of aba would have been converted to defence industries cum strategic zones producing relevant 21st century weapons coupled with research and devt in missiles studies and strategic defence programmes to secure Nigeria in this perilous times of ''every man for himself''.
Nigeria, if it were a feasible nation at all, would have long toed the path of china by buying relevant and scarce military and commercial technologies, sending them straight to aba for reverse engineering and mass replication and then applied in national development.
Broz nice ritup...but buhari would have been a better person to see this!!
