Now, coming to Decantan's sexuality. I was once like you. I HATED homosexuality. It disgusted me. But all that changed when I met X (name changed to protect him wherever he is) in my SS1. I witnessed first-hand the travails of a gày in Nigeria. The sufferings and insults meted out to my fellow human because he "acts" gayish. I saw right before my eyes how X was treated like an outcast, like a leperous old witch. I know what I passed through because I decided to remain friends with a "suspected (suspected because my classmates never caught him in the act)" gày dude. Is it the ill treatments from his parents? Don't even go there. I hate this story, so I won't tell it just like I haven't shared it with anyone all these years. But X's tearful travails and stories changed a part of my life forever. It changed most of the ways i treat people. So though I dislike the act, I don't hate the humans practicing it.

When it comes to homosexuálity, I take it as the way I take religious beliefs. You can be an Atheist, a Nihilist, a Muslim or a Christian, etc., that's your choice. As long as it doesn't put me, my present or future family in harm's way, then it's none of my business. So Njoku, if you hate lesbianism and lesbians, then by all means, go ahead.
