chelseabmw: I have observed something about this thread, when you hide post which is against the rules governing Nairaland they all complain by saying im in support of inspiredm

When ever i share a joke or play around here, they call me immature

I can never satisfy you guys

No more jokes from me as i want to perform my duties as a moderator here.

Cheers
I see no reason why you shouldn't comment. You are member of NL and you are allowed to make as many comments as you deem fit, anybody that complains can go and hug a transformer. And also, when a comment breaks the rule of NL, you ought to hide it, but don't be partial in your judgements/comments or biased towards the banning of members or hiding of comments, that's all we ask of you.

Obiagelli: so what is the cause of the Palestine frustration? Or they just love to fire rocket. And don't tell me islam because this is not a religious conflict.
Weren't Isreal frustrated first? Or they just love to fire rocket? And don't tell me Christianity, because it's not a religious conflict which Femi is sadly trying to make it.

Obiagelli: what do you mean by first stone, do you know the Genesis of this crisis?
Did you fail to read the OP's post? We're talking of the current crisis and Femi pointed out what led to it. In case you missed it:
This is the underlying cause of the current conflict. The Palestinians are frustrated but helpless. In exasperation, they fire home-made rockets into Israel from Gaza, in a pathetic attempt to signify their displeasure and perhaps orchestrate a break free from their gulag. Occasionally they hit some target and even harm or kill somebody.

Politics › Re: Understanding The Zaria Massacre by ochon:
The killings of those sects were inhumane, and totally uncalled for. I do not support it. There's freedom to protest/air our views in this country; and as long as the sect (shittes) caused no bodily harm to any citizen or posed a death risk with their protests, I see no reason why they should be gunned down. But what I again find hypocritical of the so-called "peaceful" sect is why they haven't protested all these while their brother Boko Haram have been carrying out their religious genocide, but where quick to protest Gaza bombings. This is just unadulterated hypocrisy. RIP to the dead.

You don't just go to a war when you are severely handicapped and short of weaponry to eviscerate your opponents. Palenstines threw the first short, and Isrealis capitalised on it to carry out their hidden anger towards them. They'd have thought about the repercussions before casting the first stone.

The Palenstines should've employed other ways to settle this conflict other than the "missle" way because they paid badly for it. Isrealis went too far, but they're given reasons to go such far. He who wants equity, should come with clean hands.

And Femi, don't make this a Christian vs Muslim debate of self-righteousness. Because I know some Christians has spoken out against Isreal's disproportionate attacks. But if you want to balance the equation:

1) Write an appraisal condemning the Islamic countries that have shown support for the Palenstines even after knowing they threw the first shots.

2)Write another rejoinder condemning the Muslims in Zaria, Nigeria, protesting that attacks on Gaza, but hypocritically have never come out to protest the inhumane killings of innocent civilians by the Boko Haram brainwashed dingbats. Because I don't see why they would protest Isreal's attacks on their fellow Muslims, but rejoice silently when Boko Haram are maiming innocent Nigerians/Christians.

3) Lastly Femi, if you condemn Isreal's disproportionate mass bombings in Gaza because of three Isreali teenagers abducted and killed (which I think you are right to do so), and saying it's the reason why Boko Haram and co are killing innocent people in Nigeria, then let me ask you, "is it right? Why should Nigerians suffer for another man's atrocities? Why didn't you write an article asking Boko Haram to channel their frustrations towards Isrealis and Americans/Westerners? What do you have to say about the mass massacre by some demonic Northerners when they killed Christians up North simply because someone in far-away Norway (I stand to be corrected) drew a cartoon of Mohammad (Pbuh)? Where were your article when the America ambassador to Libya was killed because another person made a film about Mohammad (Pbuh)?"

Be fair to all parties if you want to be taken serious.

Romance › Re: What Is Your Definition Of A Real Man? by ochon: 3:02pm On Aug 05, 2014
There's no definite answer to a REAL man. What we're gonna see on this thread is barrage of different opinions.

Saying a "real" man is akin to saying an "ideal" man, both are illusions and unreal. A man to me, is a man that's successful in his field/work, married or unmarried, has responsibilities and dispatches them effectively; if he's married, he's to take care of his family (not solely but collectively) and raise his children responsibly while being a good husband to his wife and a good citizen of his country that doesn't flout the country's laws.

Romantically, a real man is a man that loves his lover/wife, cares about her, doesn't abuse her (physically or otherwise), and knows how to sync her desires, wants, needs together with his.

chrisandy100: Really, I don't understand we Africans. What are we doing about the situation? No research from us. Oh, we should just sit down and wait for the white men to keep doing research for us and aiding us all the time? I really dont blame them at all. You should be grateful and thankful.
Not like that. I mean all hands should be on deck. It's only a matter of time before the disease spreads to overseas. So if the Westerners have any solution, they'd bring it to the table instead of hoarding it. And swinging into action when it affects only their own
