Beaf!:hey, what's with the name calling ![]() Stop speaking like a dunce ![]() Even infants know that merit plays less of an influence in appointments in Nigeria The Nigeria run on merit is not yet here nor can GEJ give us that kind of Nigeria Andrew Yakubu merits the position, no doubt for he's been at NNPC for 32 years Yet I bet you, him been a northerner played a big part too in his appointment |
Beaf!:I'm no bigot The average Hausa/Fulani man lusts for power and rulership [note not leadership] Maybe this has its roots in Dan Fodio's jihad ideology Even intelligent six year olds understand Nigeria is in the grip of a corrupt but stupendously elite minority, majority of whom are Hausa/Fulani GEJ,Atiku,OBJ,IBB are just public faces of different clans within that elite GEJ violated the honor among thieves agreement(rotation)&thus BH escalation Doesn't it beggar belief that Azazi was the 1st non northern NSA? Or that NNPC has had more Northern leadership than even the SS where the oil flows from? So much for 1 Nigeria ![]() I hold no brief for GEJ seeing whatever concessions this appointments may seem to be are made to the other clans of this elite up in arms against his own clan [which we see in form of BH] while Nigerians get slaughtered and shout themselves hoarse daily |
RIP Henchman When you see the angels, tell 'em shit is worse Why spit out now (to confirm what many knew) as you hit the cell block? Even the boys in blue won't able to save you. Adieu. |
Mod,please deport this to the family section. Thanks. |
Remember that Azazi is the 1st&only southerner to be NSA. Even if he was sacked for BH become deadlier, why replace him with a core blue blood northerner? ![]() In today's polarized Nigeria, who would Ebele trust more regarding security, his kinsman or an 'outsider' from the region most opposed to him? ![]() Your thots please. |

Mark seems to have hit bullseye with his statement. Politically speaking every1,even Yakassai knows the North means the core north with the MB their political pawn(though MB is awake now). Great to know Mark got the message across to them. |
Under 1 week, GEJ has sacked and replaced with northerners 2 positions the 'North born to rule cabal' has always claimed as theirs i.e.the NSA and NNPC's GMD. Newspaper rumors also have let us in to the resistance especially by the SW and SS to have the Minister of Defense come from the core north which GEJ is said to be leaning towards. Knowing the primitive kind of politics we play in Naija where merit & competence is sacrificed on the altar of tribe& appeasement, could it be said that Ebele is trying to use this to quell the BH insurrection up north& assuage the born to rule cabal. Please let us not start another ethnic battle as we respond. Your intelligent thoughts on this please. |

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-18571580 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-18571580 The Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Mursi has been declared the winner of Egypt's presidential election run-off. He won 51.73% of the vote, beating former PM Ahmed Shafiq, the Higher Presidential Election Commission said. The head of the panel of judges, Farouq Sultan, said it had upheld some of the 466 complaints by the candidates, but that the election result still stood. The announcement prompted scenes of jubilation in Cairo's Tahrir Square, where Mr Mursi's supporters gathered. They have been maintaining a vigil there for days in protest at the series of decrees by the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (Scaf) which they say are designed to reduce or constrain the power of the president, and entrench the power of the military. On 13 June, the justice ministry gave soldiers the right to arrest civilians for trial in military courts until the ratification of a new constitution. Four days later, just as the polls were closing in the run-off, the generals issued an interim constitutional declaration that granted them all legislative powers and reinforced their role in the drafting of a permanent constitution. The military was also exempted from civilian oversight. Then on Monday, the head of the Scaf, Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi, announced the re-establishment of a National Defence Council, putting the generals in charge of Egypt's national security policy.

“President Jonathan was told to be more decisive in tackling the insecurity challenge if he was serious about the FDI drive of his administration”, one source told Sunday Vanguard.Did he need to go to Brazil to be told this in today's world of instant communication? ![]() What an expensive conversation Shior! ![]() |
