Our sources say the team is made up of:
• 25 personal aides
• 18 aides of Patience Jonathan
• 2 members of the National Assembly
• 5 Ministers
• 2 Governors, and
• 63 officials from the Ministries of Enviroment, Foreign Affairs, National Planning and Petroleum Resources.
huh huh huh huh

The junket will continue for Mr. Jonathan next week Thursday when he will be in Brussels for the World Customs Conference, scheduled for June 28-30. He will be taking with him about 57 people, including 26 aides, 3 Ministers, 8 members of the National Assembly, and 20 other government officials. embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

From June 25 to 29, Mrs. Jonathan will be in Maryland, United States, accompanied by 36 people: 18 aides, 4 wives of Governors, and 14 friends and associates. shocked shocked shocked shocked

For a government that hasn't impacted on its citizen's daily lives, this is way too much a price for the treasury to pay even if the president comes from the country's cash cow region.

Pukkah: The truth is that Jonathan rode to power on the back of an enormous goodwill which has been frittered away by his lack of substance and competence. He is simply not a man of ideas. You're free to defend Jonathan till eternity but the fact remains that there are clear security problems which are threatening to swallow the country. He appears gentle but he obviously lacks dynamism, speed, and grit.

So far, he's yet to come to grips with the security problem, not to talk of the solution. The late Yar'Adua could have whined and cried about the Niger Delta militancy which he inherited from the Obasanjo administration. He, or his lackeys, could have played the ethnic card that southerners or Niger Deltans were out to make the country ungovernable for him. But sick as he was, he nevertheless came up with the idea of amnesty for the militants and the Niger Delta Ministry. Whether or not you liked Yar'adua, the amnesty idea went a long way to douse the tension in the area. Ironically, the Jonathan government is not even handling the amnesty programme well.

Which single idea has the Jonathan administration come up with other than exasperating platitudes like 'we are sad', 'we are praying', 'it will soon go away', it will end in June', etc. At least a leader must be seen to be doing something decisive and progressive instead of the routine of sending out soldiers and policemen each time a bomb blast predictably goes off. What single problem has President Jonathan solved? Does he not know about the 'low hanging fruits'? What is his government doing differently?

Mark my words - the Jonathan government will continue to sit on its hands until yet another blast goes off. Again, people will cry and the social media will go abuzz. His lackeys and lapdogs will jump up, unthinkingly, to the defence of their paymaster while his critics will repeat the acerbic tongue-lashing. Is this how we will continue?

For President Jonathan to achieve results in any sector, he must do things in a different way. Is he willing to do it? Is he able to do it? Can he do it? Right now, the nation is adrift and hungry for purposeful leadership. The people are discouraged and beleaguered, and the initial high hopes they hitched on Jonathan, on the back of that enormous goodwill, are fast evaporating by the day.

As they say, half a word is enough for the wise.

Boko Haram Plans Massive Attacks In June To Prove President Jonathan Wrong
April 9, 2012 - 05:38 — siteadmin

By Saharareporters, New York
Islamist militant group Boko Haram is planning a series of coordinated mass strikes in June 2012 to prove Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan wrong on his prediction that the activities of the group would be fully curtailed by the end of June.
A source knowledgeable about the groups plot said the group had recently distributed copies of Mr. Jonathan's speech in Hausa to its various cells to enable the various units prepare for massive attacks on security agencies, party offices and political figures around the northern region.
In particular, the group plans to attack governors Isah Yuguda of Bauchi, Jonah Jang of Plateau; Babangida Aliyu of Niger State; Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna State, as well as the former governor of Borno, Modu Sherriff, all of whom it believes are collaborating with security agencies to arrest and kill their members. Also reportedly marked for attack is the Defence Minister, Mohammed Bello.
The source also revealed that due to the sect's desire for more political acceptance in the region it plans various attacks on the political offices of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nationwide.

Visiting Seoul, South Korea, last week, Mr. Jonathan made the impolitic announcement to Yonhap news agency, that his government would have overcome Boko Haram by June. It was not clear how he arrived at such a deadline, or why it was necessary to broadcast it, giving his government’s poor track record with the militants and security in general.

Who said this guys are dumb?
Is this not sophistication?
SaharaReporters has also learned that the sect is planning to do an internal cleansing by killing those believed to have sold out on other members. Interestingly the sect source also revealed that Boko Haram has now set up an Internet monitoring platform to monitor discussions of their activities.
