Proffessorr: From personal experience, one can actually renew a passport that still has a validity period of more than 6 month. You’ll only pay more. Abi nah. Na Naija we dey nah, nothing is impossible. In fact, I renewed mine with like 8 months left without paying more than what those officers were collecting from others. |

AborMist: In the Union Bank test by Dragnet I made reference to, thousands applied all over the country. Only few of us made it to the interview stage.
Back to the NERC recruitment test with 100 questions in all, considering the critical nature of the questions and time constraint, could you confidently boast of answerring at least 70 questions correctly? Don't tell me by the grace of God, answer from the grace of your abilities. A friend told me he answered 87 of the questions. But whether correctly, nobody can tell. |

Please, gurus in the house help answer this question. If the husband of a caregiver applied together for a visa and got approved, how long can the husband stay outside the UK within a year?
A friend just got a skilled worker visa as a dependant using his wife but he doesn't want to stay in the UK. He prefers staying in Nigeria for the next years due to a great opportunity here for him. He just wants to be visiting the wife and the children but still wants to hold the skilled worker visa.
Your response will be highly appreciated. |

Debbieeeeeee: This is laughable, which quality over quantity do you mean? Most of the people relocating to the Uk have their first degrees and are going for masters so what is the difference between them and those going into Canada for their masters?
If you follow the immigration news for Canada you’ll know Canada is short-staffed immigration-wise and also just trying to develop new and better policies to make things faster. This whole influx is what Canada wants but they haven’t been able to handle it well, you can’t compare Canada with the Uk and the USA in terms of advanced immigration policies please this is not a hidden fact although geographically the UK is smaller. As I’ll always say Canada and the USA are neighbours but cannot be compared in terms of everything. Wa gbayi jare (Thumb up for you). |

bepositive11: I understand the frustration but I think Canada prefers quality over quantity. There are particular kinds of people they're looking for. I won't say that they're daft. It's inefficiency that is worrying Canada. It doesn't take time to identify quality people if you are smart and efficient. Why taking the applications of a big country like Nigeria to a relatively small country like Kenya? Are you saying they can identify quality people better than the UK? |

Letuspraytogod: You understand the whole scope my bro! I feel like we all need to stop deceiving ourselves. That’s why I had to correct this person the other time talking about passion. Passion for what? You be patriotic citizen?
And the other guy is talking about Pgwp after graduation! Nobody is asking her to stay in the UK after graduation! She can re-apply to canada before she’s done and I’m sure they’d give it to her and she can still achieve her aim and goals.
Refusal isn’t the problem tbh. The problem is IF YOU WANT TO REFUSE SOMEONE, refuse them when their application is 1-2 months let them know their faith immediately; which one is refusing someone after waitin 4,5,6,7,8 months upwards, what kind of daft decision is this.
And them say oyinbo get sense mtcheww All I can say about my experience since I joined this league of japa to Canada is that Canada is highly inefficient in visa processing. It doesn't make sense no matter any explanation anyone wants to give to defend their inefficiency. What does it cost them to have a visa processing office in Nigeria instead of taking the applications of a big country like Nigeria to a relatively small country like Kenya? That is disrespectful because they have embassies/high commissions in Abuja and Lagos where they can handle those applications. I think there is a need to petition the Nigerian government to call them to order. If they don't listen, they can employ a retaliatory measure against them like they did to UAE about Air Peace Airline. The day I went to do my medical at the IOM Abuja, the number of UK applicants I saw there was close to 20 times the number of Canada applicants. Upon that, UK still has the capacity to grant you a visa within 24 hours if you use their Super Priority application.
. So, why is Canada taking unreasonable of months to process a visa? Honestly, it is uncomosensical. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Ocool: 5:54am On Sep 25, 2022 |
Letuspraytogod: Exactly why I said if she has the money; she should try UK. That priority application na like 300-400k and she’d get her visa in like 3 days. Is it not better than all these mental stress? Honestly, UK is the next for me if I eventually get a refusal. The stress about Canada seems not to worth it to me again with the way some of my friends are easily going to the UK with the same ultimate goal of becoming permanent residents in the UK. |

Letuspraytogod: No. Don’t advice her to re-apply. Let her channel her energy elsewhere. If you’ve the funds, go to UK. You’d get your visa in less than 6weeks. Canada is too draining. Waiting on them will Bleep your mental health up. I haven’t been living like a normal human since. Application is almost a year now. It’s crazy but it is what it is. God is the greatest Wow! I also suggested UK before reading this. I think I will have to try the UK next if I am refused. My friend that we started this thing together this year's August got his UK visa within 4 days using their priority application. He travelled just this last Thursday. What makes UK even easier and better is that there are some job his wife can easily get in the UK that will entitle her to a 5 year work permit. After 3 years, she will get indefinite to remain and then permanent residence in the 5th year. So, I've been asking why all these unnecessary stress about Canada since everything is about the same Japa. |

Letuspraytogod: just login and checked my documents submitted right now. Everything has been submitted until I reached “optional documents”
It’s asking for (Application for a Temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada IMM 5257) even tho Study permit application was provided.
Deadline to be submitted October 8.
Is this VERY necessary to upload and if yes, how do I go about it right now? Please. Chairman, it costs you nothing to fill and submit this thing they are asking for. You are doing as if you want to be teaching them their job. Don't waste precious time submit what they are asking you to do because it's your application not theirs. |
