Send an email to the TRCN via the email address on their website. They will send you the list of what they currently require. It seems they have changed their requirements from what it was when I applied.

I don't need to join any group after getting my QTS doing it all alone by myself. It's of no benefit to me.

After getting my QTS doing everything on my own, I don't see any benefit I will get from joining the group.

If you have your TRCN certificate and licence and you have applied for your LOPS but yet to get an update, you can send a WhatsApp message to the following TRCN QTS LOPS *dedicated phone number* to ask for an update on your LOPS application:

I got the number from a friend who was contacted directly by TRCN to ask for the copies of her license and certificate. He has now got a confirmation email from TRA after sending the copies to them.

I just said I should share if TRCN has never contacted you via the number.

It's like TRCN is delaying sending the LOPS. It's more than two weeks we submitted but no update and they're not responding to emails sent to them.

B.A. English is recognized as a teaching qualification in the UK. The challenge is that you won't be allowed to write the PQE without a certificate in Education in Nigeria. Invariably, you can't apply!

For now, English is NOT listed as one of the subjects that qualify for QTS in Nigeria even if you have PGDE. Only mathematics and science subjects are listed.

Application has now been opened to Nigerian teachers just some minutes ago.

Congratulations to all science teachers in advance.

Note TRCN confirmation is very compulsory and you will need to pay 60k to TRCN for that.

Also, you won't be able to apply if you don't have a university degree. Holding only NCE and grade two alone will not qualify you.

Finally, you need a proof of English from your university.

Timeline (REFUSAL)

Upfront medical = 19 July 2022

Application submitted = 04 August 2022

Biometric = 04 August 2022 and updated same day immidietly

Program deferred = 13 September 2022

IRCC notified of program deferred and complained about medical not updated = 14 September 2022

Request from IRCC to send e-medical form = 14 September 2022

Medical passed = 14 September 2022 (This shows they can process an application within a day but just doing what suits them).

Series webforms and emails at 6am Nigerian on daily basis since last week Monday.

Refusal = 01 December 2022 at 16:40.

We've talked about it several times here! It is not illegal or offensive to arrive before your start date, but you must have a genuine reason if questioned by a CBSA officer about why you arrived so early.

Another factor is your living expenses. Let me tell you something, once you cross the border into Canada, bills await you, REMEMBER you will start spending $ not naira again ooo, and you can't start working until your school resumes. So one month before resumption is still ideal, and you can settle in within that time frame. If you have huge POF & living expenses (money), well, that’s won’t be a problem.

But can the spouse with SOWP start working immidietly?

Bro, I don't think so, I have a friend who is Canada since May 2022 and he is for September 2022 intake. The only issue is that the immigration officer might ask why you're coming early. Also, they might want to ask a few questions, but most times they don't ask. I plan to enter early too.

One thing we need to know is this, Canadian govt needs our money - my guy said he heard that they call international students cashing cows

I have also asked some experienced travel agents such as wakadoctor and co, and they said you can enter anytime you want so far you have your visa. Visa is key and also your money (that's one reason the immigration officer will be particular about)

my advice for anyone who has their visa ahead of resumption is to try and pay for another semester now. But note that, you can't work without your school enrolment letter.

Actually, his response isn't wrong though. Most "cheap" UK schools no longer accept 500 to 2k as deposit. Anything from 3k to 7k is what they demand.

Schools that ask for low tuition deposit are incredibly expensive.
