If you have been travelling on a road for 50 years and you found out that you may not have been travelling on the right road, the correct thing to do would be to turn and start on the right road. It doesn't matter how far you have travelled. You will NEVER get to your destination!
I appreciate the opposition to the message of the eternal security of the believer. It's what we have been taught all our lives and we sincerely believe it. But then, we can be sincerely wrong! It's not about sincerity. Question is, does the Bible teach it?
I would implore us to just open our hearts, discard all our pre-suppositions and study the Bible on this subject.
In closing, even the most popular verse in the Bible talks about eternal security........"that whosoever BELIEVES on Him should NOT PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE......NOT PERISH...NOT PERISH....NOT PERISH....NOT PERISH...NOT PERISH...NOT PERISH... |

cathymia: Greetings from Calgary! And Happy New Year everyone...
Moved over from the other thread post PPR, our application was delayed at the dreaded London visa office over 6months
Landed a month ago (on the first holiday snow day in December) Eeek! With my husband and 3 month old , other than a stomach bug that started just as we left Lagos, baby was super well behaved (thank God for pacifiers)
I hardly remember running into customs at the airport, cos check-in was a breeze (1 duffel bag with food stuff), weighed 5check in and 4hand luggage bags accurately from home, so no reshuffling..
Flight was great, layover in Amsterdam for 6/7hours and then to Calgary
Landing procedure didn't take more than 5mins after waiting in a short queue, declared $10k +, and all food stuff so I think that helped, also printed a goods to follow form ready when they asked...
We had a friend help us check out an apartment, filled out the application and all, only to find out while in transit that she declined our application cos we didn't have jobs (though my friend had told her we are new PR immigrants before she sent us the application),anyways, we found another place just before Christmas..
1st January: Had to go get formula for my lil'lady and decided to go with the bus for the first time since I was going alone (we had been uber-ing around with the baby cos of subzero temperatures) Needed to get 2 buses there...planned the journey with Google Maps...the first bus was delayed 40mins!!!, this should have been a good time to go back to our warm flat, but I was determined (BTW, did I mention it was -20degrees with wind chill of about -35?) Second bus was delayed another 20mins...at that point I was sure I was going to freeze to death...my fingers were freezing in my gloves! Got to the store and wandered around to get warm, bought the formula and decided Uber cos I cannot come and kill myself, got my phone out, and the battery just drained suddenly from 60%... Stood by the exit asking people to help with uber so I give them cash, but most people have cars hence no uber app, finally got a Congolese guy who was kind enough to get me home, thank God...a 30mins store run took about 4hours...oh well, got a story out of it...
So far, so good...we have met with settlement and career advisors with different agencies while applying for jobs...general advice has mostly been NETWORKING! Based on this, I have revived my LinkedIn account
Would really appreciate advice from those who have settled in who might have an idea of /leads for paid or unpaid internships in the public health/ not for profit sector and Architecture as well... Hi cathymia. My wife is a public health person and we plan to land in Calgary also in March. It will be nice if we can connect and share ideas, if you don't mind. We have not been able to get a lot of info about Public/Community health in Calgary. You can reach me via bukolajayi@yahoo.com. I am having issues with sending PMs. |

Ekpekus: Just do a generalized search on the prospect of public health physician in your intended province. What requirements is needed. The appropriate body for licensure and the likes. Another thing to do is network with people in that field via LinkedIn. A job search on the Canadian job bank, workopolis dot ca, indeed dot ca, kijiji.ca, monster dot ca and the others will give you a clue on the direction to go. Alternatively, if the individual intend practicing Medicine then check some of my previous post.
I hope this help Thanks bro. |

oddysey: Hello good people,
Please could anyone offer advice/direction on public/community health practice in Canada? My wife is a Medical Doctor and also has a Masters in Public Health. She worked with WHO on contract for a while as Local Govt Area Facilitator in Port Harcourt - they go to communities to sensitise, give talks, vaccinate and monitor for outbreak of epidemic diseases, etc.
We are expecting PR and would appreciate any info that might be helpful in this regard. Thanks. Someone kindly help please. |

It is heartbreaking I thought that we only needed police clearance for aplace we spend 6months straight in. I did uk police report and nigeria. I attached the pic, i hope this helps someone. I am a little bit confused but it is well. Apparently i need USA police clearance - how do i go about this cos i dont want to be discouraged, i want to go back in the pool asap. Can i still use all these same documents. My crs was 451. So sorry about this. Must be really painful. I pray all will work out fine in the end. Please I would like to ask a question in this regard, if you don't mind, bacause I also forgot to include an FBI PCC when I applied but I raised a CSE 2 days after AOR to notify them I had applied for the FBI PCC. I still can't tell if my application will be rejected or not. So I would like to find out why they requested for ADR and what documents you sent? Thanks. |

Thanks a lot for the direction. Much appreciated. olyveoyl: The non-submission of your wife's FBI PCC is enough reason for an express rejection by IRCC,the only way to avoid this and save your application fee is to go to alagbon close in ikoyi with a downloaded and printed fingerprint form from the FBI website.. Your wife's fingerprint will be printed on (the downloaded and printed FBI fingerprint) form(s),ensure you print more than one in the event of error or mistakes as well as the payment/card details form(still on FBI site). With that done, you can mail the forms to your American contact through DHL or UPS to save time, as FBI only receives regular mail. Your American contact will in-turn send the forms;FBI downloaded and fingerprinted form(s) and the payment details form(s) to FBI main office. Your wife will need to use a U.S contact address to save time as sending a regular mail to and fro the USA takes like three to for months, which she doesn't have the luxury. |

Thanks a lot. I do appreciate your response. Ajujuju2: Hmmmm this PCC issue is enough grounds for a refusal but honestly if you probably can write a quite convincing loe... U may b able to buy time.
My advice: set out requesting for pcc now as it takes on average 10wks and cannot be fast tracked. Write the best LOE of your life and PRAY! ** Yes dollar card is ok for payment ** Agents can only fast track for Citizens and pr holders, ** Yes youtube video will help but if u wana go the extra mile, get a (professional) policeman to take your prints. They are better with the techniques
Prepare your mind that your chances are Slim. |

esosa4real: You have already made the mistake so just pray. Last I checked, cic is strict with pcc and rejected people for missing us pcc recently.
However, instead of sending empty CSE, (empty here means no document, just appeal right? Dat one nor go work).
Just quickly apply for the PCC and send proofs and receipts for it via CSE + email.
The email part is important because cic might claim not to have seen the CSE. So u must send email.
But even the fbi pcc takes a minimum of 10 to 12 weeks so I don't know how you will handle this.
All THE Best Please Esosa or anyone, do you have the email address for the office that treats CSEs? |

Hello all.
I really need some urgent advice. I just submitted my eAPR on Monday and got AOR same day.
I just realised today that my wife had stayed a cumulative of 7 months in the USA!!! How I missed that, sincerely, I will never know? I am still in shock, particularly because I knew about the PCC requirement but I had miscalculated her cumulative number of months. And I did not attach FBI PCC for her. I am the PA.
Please, can I raise a CSE to notify them and indicate that I have applied for it or will my application be rejected all the same? Please I would really really appreciate a guide or a link to a guide on how to apply for the FBI PCC. Can I use my dollar card to pay for my wife? Is there an agent I can use to make it faster? I also hear there is a utube video on how to fingerprint yourself. That link will be sure helpful. I am based in Port Harcourt. Please I would appreciate your responses. I am hoping to raise a CSE today or tomorrow latest before my application is rejected. My CRS was 447. |

Abby2017: I experienced similar issue yesterday, even though I didnt have any entry later than 10years back/18years old as stated.
Remove/edit organization from your entry. You should be fine. This error message popped up after the update on the website, "being a member of an organization no longer count as part of personal/address history".
In essence, tell them something else you were doing during that period tagged "organization".
That was what I did and the form validated succesfully.
Modification: there are some entries that could amount to misrepresentation if you just decide to put them to start at 2007 because of the 10years ish e.g. saying you started schooling in 2007 when you actually started in 2005. Your form will still validate if you enter education start date as 2005 even though it is more than 10years ago. Just made that change. Worked like magic. Thanks again!!! |

tollu: I see records from year 2000 there. That's longer than the 10 years required. Begin your entry from June 2007 Thanks a lot. It says at least 10 years, so I think more than 10 years is still fine. |

Hello people,
Under my spouse's personal history page, the following is a breakdown of her timeline:
from to 2000/11 2007/7 2007/7 2007/11 2007/11 2008/11 2008/11 2009/11 2009/11 2010/7 2010/7 2010/11 2010/11 2012/1 2012/1 2012/7 2012/7 2012/12 2012/12 2014/1 2014/1 2014/12 2014/12 2016/6 2016/6 till date
But each time I try to submit, it still gives me the error message:
Error Description: Personal activities: You must provide at least 10 continuous years of history, or all time since this person's 18th birthday, to the present.
I do not see any gap in the timeline. I really am not sure what could be the problem. I am the PA. Someone please help. Thanks. |

Good day guys.
Please, while filling the EE form, a friend of mine mistakenly indicated settlement funds for 3 family members instead of for 4 and his application was deemed inelligible and there is no way to edit.
So, can he use another email address, generate a new GC key and re-enter the pool without any negative consequences? Your prompt response will be well appreciated. Cheers. |
