you are right, you can never underestimate the power of words. this is an extract from a newspaper i was reading online "The question of whether or not Babangida should be allowed to contest the Nigerian presidency in 2007 goes beyond the individual right to vote. Babangida has blantant disregard for, and has, in fact, violated the Nigerian constitution in the many years of his misrule. If the rule of law had not been usurped by the privileged in Nigeria, Babangida would have been living his days behind bars, for his many criminal violations. "

Thanks, Even though my parents and family are proficient in Nigeria, but we can not turn our eyes to what we read in the news daily. I have been out of Nigeria for over 15 years, and every time I go back home it's shocking to see how local people are suffering. people are not supposed to be in poverty as they are in Nigeria today if only all the country wealth is diverted to the rural development projects. Some of us will agree this is an epidemic and some will just turn their cheeks as long as they are not affected. we must raise the youth awareness.

I can see we have lots of people who don't even know who IBB is or what he did while he was the head of state. presidents are different from dictator head of state. Go online or ask any authentic Nigeria, we don't just call this guy Maradona for nothing.

Nairaland General › Re: Nigerians Talk Too Much (without really thinking!) by Odeku(m): 4:52pm On Oct 19, 2005
That is stereotyping, Nigerians don't talk to much they are just opinionated, we like to speak what we feel and how we feel. nothing wrong with expressing yourself.  Come to America and  see basket mouth cursing.  American will curse you out over a Pennie
Politics › Re: Against Babangida.com Website by Odeku(m): 4:35pm On Oct 19, 2005
Well we can have an open corupt leader at least you know he will steal, the snake like IBB is the one you need to watch out for. they still havent found one ounce of evidence that he loot money from Nigeria, my question is it because him and EFCC CHAIRMAN ARE from same state. there is an old adage is better to stay with the devil you know.

Well it depends on who does the rating, I went to school in Africa, and I attended school in the state as well. African school are more competitive and more educational. We might not have the technology and advance equipment, but we are smarter than the western world.

Jokes Etc › Three men died in a car accident and met God in heaven. by Odeku(op): 2:23pm On Oct 19, 2005
"I will ask you each a simple question. If you tell the truth you will enter heaven, but if you lie ... hell is waiting for you," God told them.

To the first man God asked, "How many times did you cheat on your wife?"

The first man replied, "I was a good husband. I never cheated on my wife."

God replied, "Very good! Not only will I allow you in, but for being faithful to your wife I will give you a huge mansion and a limo for your transportation."

To the second man God asked, "How many times did you cheat on your wife?"

The second man replied, "I cheated on my wife twice."

God replied, "I will allow you to come in, but for your unfaithfulness, you will get a four-bedroom house and a BMW."

To the third man God asked, "So, how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

The third man replied, "I cheated on my wife about eight times."

God replied, "I will allow you to come in, but for your unfaithfulness, you will get a one-room apartment, and a Yugo for your transportation.

A couple of hours later, the second and third men saw the first man crying his eyes out.

"Why are you crying?" the two men asked. "You got the mansion and limo!"

The first man replied, "I'm crying because I saw my wife a little while ago riding a skateboard!"
Jokes Etc › Three men died and were taken by God to the top of a cliff by Odeku(op): 2:12pm On Oct 19, 2005
Three men died and were taken by God to the top of a cliff. God said to them that since they had been such great outstanding citizens of earth that they would be given one chance to become anything that they desired.

The first man ran to the edge of the cliff, jumped into the air and shouted, "I want to be an eagle." Instantly he was changed into an eagle and soared off into the sunset.

The second man ran to the edge of the cliff, jumped into the air and shouted, "I want to be an owl." Instantly he was changed into an owl and soared off into the sunset.

The third man ran towards the edge of the cliff, tripped on a rock, and shouted, "Oh shit

Jacumo I have no admiration for criminals, as far as I am concern they are lazy people. non the less. their act can be entertaining
. I am not sure where you reside, but try traveling any where in the world, as soon as you show a Nigerian passport all hell will break. I was a victim of this slogan, even though I handle my business legitimately. I am now a US citizen, but before i was, customs at JFK always have this impression as a Nigerian, you must have drugs on
