As for your information, it's like you don't know that kingship in Edo is different from anywhere else in 9jeria. The Oba has the authority to create a dukedom in his kingdom and the government recognizes it at once. You think Benin Kingdom is Benin City. Nobody can treat the Oba of Benin the way you treat the Emir of Kano. Nobody can dethrone him and make somebody else king in his position. I am not sure you are even Edo sef....

It's one reason why I prefer the father to son kingship. It gives the traditional stool some authority of it's own. Just imagine if a governor make someone a king, the king automatically becomes loyal to that governor. It makes no sense na. When Oshiomole was governor, the National chairman of the APC was a former governor of Edo state, chief Oyegun. Oyegun did not disturb Oshiomole the way Oshiomole is disturbing Obaseki. Oyegun and other top Benin men and pushing Obaseki from behind to deal with Oshiomole. When Oshiomole was governor, nobody dared challenged him. It was Oshiomole who made oyegun loose out as National chairman. If Obaseki wins this one, then he would have retired Oshiomole from Edo politics

And, it's fantastic to know you know the people's history more than the people themselves. As far as the history is narrated by you, there can never be addition, omission and embellishment. But when the history is told from the perspective of the people it relates with and it doesn't suit your narrayive, it's going to be "bleeped".

Inkpi and her legendary role in Igala kindom, as far as I know and have read about, has little or nothing to do with Benin. Inkpi's story is in relation with the Igala/Jukum (Iwarefa empire) and not Benin.

I have seen the Inikpi statue and i have been to the inachalo river. Inikpi is for the Edo war that's why it's at the bank of the river night in ega water side while the other princess killed at inachalo river is for the jukun
