dayokanu: I am still reading but I have to commend this point. which I think is a good one. The first thing every woman should strive for is Financial Independence.

Assuming Debrief was a full time house wife what Yorubas call ALABODO- Feed and Fucck, Do you think she would leave even if she is about to be killed? One of the weapon used by such men is financial control. You challenge me on any issue even if its korokoro cheating in your own bedroom while you watch and he would withhold money from you or lock the store where the food is kept.

I know its different for different couples, But fight every suggestion to be a Full time, Fully dependent , No income generating housewife
I always knew you were humane.

This is blood chilling!
I dont know the one that hurts most. Is it the beatings and slappings or the spitting or the pulling by the hair thru the house or the flaunting of other chics in my matrimonial home.
Some men are devils themselves!

Most protests in Nigeria end up bloody.

so you must comment on the wrong topic because today i just came to ask about the meaning of having several mobile phones in nigeria.

what i shared in other topics isn't related to that, so please go make your comments where they belong as if they're not related to that present issue they don't have their place here.
are you this temperamental or you are having a real bad day?

miss-sweety86:
Ok, thank you for the explanation Odonnu. That's probably why he changed number so many times. But apparently he's currently using the other one. I think maybe he has a number just for me, or at least it seems that he often forget that phone at home, or let his sister plays with it.

@skydeep: I know I tend to overthink these kinds of things, that's why i hate long distance relationship
its possible he has a number for you and its usually because its either cheaper making int'l calls with it and/or the voice clarity is 'tight'.
If its solely best for int'l calls, then no use carrying it around
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has 2 Mobile Phones by Odunnu: 1:17pm On Oct 25, 2012
miss-sweety86:
it's not that he refused to give me the number, it's that I didn't know he was using another one. But I will ask him and see what he says. If he refuses to give me the other number I think it clearly means he's hiding something.
I don't like asking questions but I think I should do it more often. Anyway, I just want him to understand that long distance relationship isn't gonna work if I can barely get in touch with him!
You are hurting yourself if you keep dwelling on this.
Okay, let me give you a personal example.
I use MTN and Airtel now. Previously, I used Glo. I have also used Etisalat at some point but as we speak, I dont know my Etisalat number, never bothered knowing it either. It will be an effort remembering my Glo line even though i've had it since 2007.
The point is, these lines serve different purposes when their promo or usefulness has been exhausted, you drop it and move on to the next one. No attachment.
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has 2 Mobile Phones by Odunnu: 1:09pm On Oct 25, 2012
vivian chinaza: Babe, I'm gonna be blunt with you, when a man you are dating has another number you don't know and he has refused to give it to you? *singing* "there is fire on the mountain."

Well, again, it depends on how serious your relationship with him is. So if your relationship with him is serious, then girl you have every right to ask questions!
Now thats not true. Not true for a Nigeria/france relationship.

Ok, I just didn't know that it was that common to have several phones in Nigeria.

I mentionned the type of phones because I know he has an Iphone (he actually bought it for me to play when I was at his house) and a BB. Anyway, it doesn't matter.

So ok, he has two phones, but why didn't he give me the number of the other phone?? I also have 2 phones because I'm working in Switzerland and live in France, but he knows both numbers.
He may not even know the number of the other line.
Now that sounds stupid but it could be true.
We have these many phones because we just want to communicate.
Some of the telecoms are just good for outgoing calls. If you get such, you wont bother knowing the number
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has 2 Mobile Phones by Odunnu: 12:37pm On Oct 25, 2012
skydeep: but seriously, it is madness to have 3 to 4 phones grin.
Our telecom industry is a joke.
Its no madness
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has 2 Mobile Phones by Odunnu: 12:36pm On Oct 25, 2012
Lol @ skydeep.
Well, as to the insecurity problem you have in your relationship- thats what I summarised your issue to be. Get to really relate with him. Drop the two phones theory. Get to know what this dude wants. Is it you or something else
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has 2 Mobile Phones by Odunnu: 12:32pm On Oct 25, 2012
Quite a number of things to deal with here.
It is ridiculous if not outright foolish as a youth living and doing business in Nigeria to have just one cell phone. I mean, its that bad. You must have more than one. Some have 3 phones, some 4 and i'm not exaggerating
