Recall that the Big Brother Hotshot was postponed due to a fire outbreak at the Big Brother House in Johanessburg South Africa. Here are some of the photos of the burnt house.

According to multiple eye witnesses, the Super Eagles midfielder arrived at the Eagles Calabar camp this afternoon wearing protective hand gloves.



When asked by coach Stephen Keshi why he was wearing gloves, Mikel Obi reportedly replied

“Coach I have up to four hand gloves and if you don’t mind, I can give you one. I’m not joking with this virus oh” Mikel jokingly told Keshi and everyone present laughed.



The Eagles are preparing for the AFCON qualifiers against Congo this Saturday. 17 players including Mikel are now in camp. Odemwingie is out due to injury while Vincent Enyeama is out due to family reasons.

An accident victim died in the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, after she had been abandoned by the health staff seized with Ebola fears.

The Nation reports that the woman hit by a driver, who fled from the site, passed away 11am Tuesday, September 2.

The tragedy was allegedly proceeded by the refusal of FMC doctors and nurses to treat her, as they were scared that the victim might be infected with the deadly tropical virus.

According to the hospital senior worker, who asked his name not to be made public, the death was caused by the health workers’ refusal to treat the woman:

“The victim was brought into the casualty ward by two good Samaritans… Instead of treating her due to the bruises and cuts in her body, the doctors refused, claiming it may be Ebola. They refused even when the victim showed pictures from the scene of the accident. The woman was brought into the casualty section at 2pm on Monday. She was abandoned and she later died at about 11am on Tuesday.”

The source revealed that even morticians refused to take the dead body to the morgue in fear of Ebola. Characterizing the whole situation as a “shame” the worker added that only after intervention of the Head of Administration, Mr. Ogoro Oyondombra they did their job.

Another medical employee, who spoke with Premium Times on condition of anonymity, confirmed the story narrating why they did not help the woman:

“Nobody had the courage to help the victim especially as we did not have any idea of the case history. We do not have the necessary protective kits to handle this type of case and nobody wants to take unnecessary risk. Our safety has to be guaranteed first because any one can endanger his life; that is the truth about it.”

The health workers, who were on duty, might face hospital probe over negligence.

The mass panic in Bayelsa started today as rumours occurred in Yenagoa that 3 Ebola patients had been secretly quarantined at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH). The state officials immediately debunked the speculations describing them as false.

Ebitimi Etebu from Bayelsa Task Force on EVD said that the state was prepared for fighting the disease and claimed though that Bayelsa was yet free from the virus.

“There is no cause for alarm. The one suspected case at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital which presented symptoms similar to Ebola turned out negative. The Ambulance services workers have been trained and ready to convey any suspected case to the designated surveillance centres. There is no other pending case.”

In an unfortunate development, however, Kaduna today recorded the first suspected Ebola case in the state.

Well, today I received the news from my friends that the call up letter is out, although we were not given (call up letter) today, but my school pasted where we were posted to. Luckily for me, I was posted to ekiti state, but 80% of my friends were posted to the north,including those that "runz" theirs. What was your reaction after collecting your call up letter?

1. Thou shall not date any guy out of sympathy. It is not worth it. It has never worth the pain. Ladies beware!
2. Thou shall not do revenge relationship a.k.a let me show my boyfriend I can flirt too.  Ladies, that is inflicting more injuries on yourself
3. Thou shall not depend on any man for your daily needs. It has brought more pains than joy to some ladies. Ladies, please!
4. Thou shall never fight over a man. Such men usually don’t have regard for  ladies. Ladies, you can ask around if you are in doubt!
5. Thou shall not remain in a violent relationship. You are supposed to be his sweetheart not punching bag. If he’s looking for who to punch, refer him to Mike Tyson. Ladies, abi?
6. Thou shall not give IT to him. If he wants IT that desperately, he should put a ring on it. Funny enough, men can wait if they see your worth it. True!
7. Be bold when men toast you. Stop cutting flowers or drawing circles with your leg. Enjoy the ‘toasting’. Don’t forget to pay attention to the  pick up lines. Some pick up lines can crack your ribs.
8. If you are not sure of your man especially if the relationship is still new, never take your girlfriend to his house or give her his number or BB pin. Odikwa very risky!
9.  As soon as you can, let your man show his face to your people. Your sister or brother or mother. This is very key.
10. Material possessions are good but never let it be the number factor in choosing a man.
11. Do not forget the golden rule. Always sit like a woman. Some men act like babies when a woman is not properly seated. You know what I mean!
12. Never think you can trap a man with good sex. Fou fou fou… foul!  It is an aberration.
13. Be good to men but be firm. Yes firm but don’t scare them away.
14. Men are not in short supply. Don’t let them deceive you. Don’t believe anything in the contrary. Don’t be stampeded into a relationship.
15. If your purpose for financing a man is to keep him, that could be a big mistake. Finance for the right reasons.
16. Men are not the same. Don’t listen to “men are the same jare!” It’s a lie! How many men have you met out of about six billion people on earth? You see am nau, abi?
17. Adventures can be sweet. However, never embark on a long trip to meet a man without informing someone. Never!
18. Guys have a way of saying “don’t let anybody know about us yet.” If the relationship is up to three months and counting, somebody should know about it jor! Better things, they no dey hide am.
19. They say good girls love bad boys. And as a good girl, you are looking for a bad boy to love? OYO for you! Let bad girls love bad boys and good girls love good boys.  Nobody should use your head to catch a bullet.
20. Enjoy being single. It does not last.

Brazilian defender David Luiz who captained his country to their biggest loss ever against the Germans on tuesday has found solace in a Nine-year-old girl, Ana Luz saw the Brazil defender on TV.

Ana was so moved by him that she wrote him a letter telling him that "you don't need to be sad". Luiz then shared the touching message with the world via Instagram:

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos on Friday said the only way Nigerians can get uninterrupted power supply in the country is by voting out PDP in the 2015 general elections.
Fashola said this at an event in Ikeja to mark his administration’s 2600 days in office.
He said,” Yes, it is possible to generate electricity and to make sure that everybody in this country has electricity , I agree with you it is simple what we have done in Lagos within the areas where we are constrained showed that it can be done . But you know what the only way that you and I will have electricity in this country will be to vote out the PDP.”
“In 16 years hundreds of billions of naira, trillions of naira have been spent and we cannot switch on electricity and in seven years we have created four plants , it showed that something is missing. So unless you vote for All Progressive Congress, an inefficient government, it is going to be difficult to have electricity.
“They started from vision 2020-20 and I told you then that they were having nightmare that there was no vision.
They moved to seven point agenda and now they are transforming.
” Let me also say that in the last seven years, ask how many new power plants the Federal Government has commissioned because sometimes the power that is coming to Lagos at most is 1000 mega watts.”

Chris Okotie's Household of God Church who took the man of God to court over unpaid earnings, has opened up on the bad things he saw in the pastor's house while he was with him. Rihanna has apparently broken FIFA rules by touching the World Cup trophy.

The Bajan Pop star posted pictures of herself with World Cup winners – German footballers Miroslav Klose, Lucas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger, holding the coveted World Cup trophy. But FIFA guidelines have previously stated that only winners of the tournament and heads of state are allowed to handle the trophy.

We shouldn’t put Rihanna on blast though; these photos below also show other non-winners carrying the trophy – they include the German players’ WAGS.

Some have however said that what Rihanna and co were holding up last night was a fake trophy, as the real deal might just be tucked away safely somewhere.
