The joker in Nigerian politics is Middle Belt. Win Middle Belt and you will win the Presidency. The SW gave a marginal vote of 500000 to APC while Anambra alone gave PDP over 600000 votes.

When SW backed Atiku in 2007, did he win? NO! When SW backed Ribadu, did he win? NO! When the entire SW was mobilized for Buhari, how many votes did they gave him? a marginal 500000 votes.

Tinubu or no Tinubu, SW can't give APC more than 600000 votes, which Anambra alone if fully mobilized for election can guarantee to PDP.

Look at the keenly contested Anambra governorship election. Votes casted were barely 500k even if Atiku got 100% in all SE states that's roughly 2.5m votes. Kano alone would neutralize that!

South East Nigeria is the least indebted region with a patry debt of #248 bn. This translates to 7.5% of the total debt profile of the entire 36 states. This patry figure leaves the other 5 regions to share the other 92.5% at an average of 18.5%. This means that South East is below other regions in Fiscal rascality.

The aggregate debts of the 36 states to the National budget 2017 is 45.8%, South East debt to the budget is about 3.5%, leaving other 5 regions with 42.3% at an average of 8.5 for the other regions.

The proportion of SE debt to our GDP is 0.0%, meaning this is sustainable and serviceable at the long run.

With a single digit figure against the double digits figure of the other regions, SE deserves a Kudos.

The Nigeria Extractive Industries
Transparency Initiative (NEITI) says that the
debt burden of the 36 states of the federation
rose to over N3.342 trillion as of 2016.

Lagos, Delta, Osun and Akwa Ibom topped the
debt chart, with a total debt profile of N1.262
trillion representing about 38% of debts owed by
the 36 states of the federation.

The break down shows that Lagos was indebted
to the tune of N603.25 billion, Delta, N331.95
billion, while Osun and Akwa Ibom are owing
N165.91 billion and N161.23 billion respectively.

The South Eastern states of the country owes a combine debt of #257.74 bn. This represents about 7 percent of the total debts of the entire 36 states, which stands shamefully at #3.3 bn.

The Highest indebted state of the region is APC controlled Imo, which stands at #88 bn while APGA contolled Anambra State has the least debt at #20.6 bn. PDP controlled States of Enugu (#57.56 bn), Ebonyi (#46.05 bn) and Abia (#44.93 bn) have an average debt of #49.51 bn.

The NEITI publication also expressed concern
that the total indebtedness of N3.342 trillion by
the 36 states represented 55.15 percent of the
2016 budget of N6.06 trillion and 45.8 per cent of
the 2017 budget estimates of about N7.3 trillion.

With a patry 7% of the entire debts, which appears sustainable in the long run, South East scored another Plus.

Don't be stupid, try to travel. Am currently in Katsina, I can tell you sentiment against Buhari is running really high especially among the Hausa extractions, only 1 Fulani I interacted with spoke unfavorably about Buhari . If things continue this way, Buhari will struggle with NW. There are about 40% indigenous Christians in Katsina, a core Sharia state, using this stat to generalize, I can say there are about 35% indigenous Christians in NW. Formerly, I used to think over 95% Hausas are moslems. But it is a hell no. If you think Southern Kaduna, Shiites, NW Christians will vote for Buhari massively like before, then you are delusioned.

The strongest politicians in NE are TY Danjuma and Atiku, and they are not Pro-Buhari. I hope you are aware of Taraba's recent issue with the North, the formation of Northern Christians Council of Nigeria, the Retired Christian Generals Forum, these bodies were formed to act as check to the fear of Islamisation growing in the NE. TY Danjuma is the heart of all these associations. If you still think, Baba will win NE overwhelmingly, you are again delusioned. There are more indigenous Christians in NE than NW.

Headsmen are ravaging NC and the people are not satisfied with the reactive measures, about 60% are Christians, if you think, Baba will win in the NC, especially Kogi, Benue, Plateau you need help.

SW is 50-50 becos of Osinbanjo.

SS is no-go area for Buhari.

SE is PDP's strongest hold.

Don't forget, there are over 11 million Southerners in the North, who are predominantly Christians.

If Fayose is chosen as Presidential candidate, he will win NC overwhelming becos of his antecedent against Herdsmen, SW becos he is Yoruba, SS and SE becos he represents a better option, will make major incursion into NW if he chooses an Hausa as VP and as a Christian will have the sympathy of NW Christians especially Southern Kaduna. With the backing of Danjuma, CAN, NE Region and newly formed NCCN, he will make another incursion into NE.

Don't worry, when campaign starts, MainaGate, NNPCGate will be resurrected till it sinks into the ears of all Nigerian just like APC used the alleged $20Bn scandal against GEJ.
