I have given careful thought to a lot of things immediately after the election postponement was announced and all my angles covered keeps pointing to PDP as the problem behind this postponement.

A few days ago we got wind of the Ballard report which revealed that PDP was going to lose this election with a slim chance of winning under certain conditions.

I went through the entire 32 page document and it was all a gloomy story for PDP.

However, something caught my eye in the first page, and second to the last paragraph where they talked about and I quote

" ALL POSSIBLE URGENT STEPS NEED TO BE TAKEN TO RECTIFY THIS SITUATION "

It further went on to say and I quote,

"AS YOU MAY RECALL AS FAR BACK AS MID-DECEMBER YOU REFERRED TO POSSIBLE STEPS REQUIRED TO GUARANTEE AN UPPER HAND. THESE STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN NOW".

Suddenly we began to see Inec vehicles being attacked and sensitive materials being burnt including inec offices. We also saw the killings in Kaduna all of a sudden for no reason.

The Ballard report says the edge buhari has is his trustworthy nature and that is why people will vote for him above Atiku and that angle should be targeted in order to get the result that the PDP wants. This can be found on page 24 of the Ballard document.

I am totally convinced about my findings and the fact that Atiku is playing mad dirty to achieve his objective even at the expense of human lives.

A simple objective assessment would also reveal this to you.

I remain a supporter of Buhari. The forces in play in our country are deadly and many of us are ignorant of then which is why we talk carelessly without knowing that to them, we are just pawns they use to achieve their goal.

Look at all those standing against buhari who are the political elite. Just look at them and tell me they mean well for this country or for you and I.

One thing is clear there was a poll taken, the covering letter is the one I am hesitant about but the analysis shows a poll one was taken somewhere by somebody. The analysis is too detailed for someone in their office or basement to cook up. I actually think the poll result shows some insightful information overlooked by the Atiku and Buhari camp, a lot of people do not care about both candidates, maybe next time they will present a candidate that is well respected. For Atiku or PDP, I think they may be too optimistic about their candidate, instead of boring or non performing Buhari, many people may not go out and vote. If the turnout is high, Atiku has a chance, if hte turnout is low Buhari wins, because the votes will just be along party lines and mostly by party members. That is what the poll is showing, not necessarily Buhari vs Atiku but which party will you vote for, APC of PDP.

If Atiku can muster a 90% voter turnout in the SE then he stands a chance. He will still lose though but with a more respectable margin.

We however know that turnout can never happen

Abubakar Shettima, a resident of Duala in Dogon Dutse, Jos North local government area of Plateau state has relocated to his polling unit at Dogon Agogo where he is already queuing up ahead of Saturday’s Presidential election.

Shettima, aged 59, said he wants to be the first person to cast his vote for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, as a payback for his freedom after he was falsely accused of being a member of Boko Haram in 2015.


Having left his home on Wednesday morning, Shettima said he has already spent a night at his polling unit and would spend the next 48hours at the same spot to exercise his franchise.

Abubakar Shettima’s name is number 119 on the voters register.
“I have already sent my wife to Borno state, this morning (Thursday) to exercise her franchise while I have three children who are of age to vote.

“Two of them are in Jos and would vote for Buhari on Saturday while the other is married in Maiduguri so it would be up to her husband,” he said.

Sitting on his praying mat spread across the elevated platform of a resident where the names and pictures of eligible voters have been pasted, Shettima holds tight his holy Qur’an while his PVC is tucked in his pocket.

The indigene of Borno state recalled how himself and hundreds of others were unjustly arrested as suspected Boko Haram members in 2015 and made to go through very harsh conditions before they were later profiled and released after investigations revealed they were innocent.

“I was at the Bauchi motor park in Jos when they arrested me and other people, they moved us to Bauchi, then Yobe and Borno states where we were crammed in cells and ignored for months.

“But when President Buhari came to power, he visited the cells and seeing our conditions, instructed that we should be separated into 200 persons per cell and investigation into our arrest be carried out.”

He said the investigations revealed their innocence adding that they were later released with an apology.

“Before we were asked to go, the Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima invited us and apologized on behalf of the government. We were each given N10, 000 and a brocade to return home.

“They told us that it was routine to make such arrests but that after investigations, those found to be innocent would eventually be released.”

“So this is payback,” he said. “If not for President Buhari, we would probably not have been released. We know that his policies are targeted at ensuring a better life for us,” he said

A US contracts lawyer just explained to me, one of the ways to know the letter is real is if non of the contractual parties on the client side back Ballard firm up with a disclaimer. So far, I'm not aware bukola saraki or osita chidoka has issued a statement.

If Atikus team truly received the leaked report and they back him up to refute the leak in circulation, they'd be shooting themselves in the legs, making it impossible to invoke clauses for indemnity for damages, since they equally agreed its a forgery.

Long story short, its an authentic report but because it was leaked and has now gone public, the same Ballard has been forced to call it a forgery by his client (Saraki and Atiku) and damn the indemnity.
