so I am in a e-hailing drivers group on WhatsApp called Uber & taxify Lagos. I asked in the group if the lasdri card office is open today and got a response from someone "yes". as a matter of fact he claim he is currently at office and would start the first session for today's training soon. I asked if I can meet up with the first session, since I live at ajao estate isolo. he said yes but what would delay is the payment. he advised that I send him payment so that he can help with it to fast track the process for me. I thanked and send the money, only for me to get the office and find out the office isn't open today. I tried reaching out to him and what he said was that I should go to hell, that I have been scammed. the said amount is just 2k. I am writing this here so as to warn every other person from falling victim. here are his phone numbers and account number

1- Yes Yellow buses do have LAsdri because they are commercial buses

2-It is not a crime to ride share but know they when you start to ride share your private car for cash, you have now commercialize it, if arrested when picking up passegers, you will be asked for permit to operate a commercial vehicle... drivers of commercial buses and taxis are also tax payers.

yes, people have been ride sharing before uber all over the world but they needed a permit to operate, even private taxi operators in lagos before uber needed a permit to operate.

Best approach will be for Uber and others to come clean and tell the government that they are taxi operators and get the necessary permit instead of claiming they are connecting people. all uber and others stubbornness and deceit will lead to the suffering of drivers on their platform, lagos government has leverage, uber are at their mercy no mattter what they print on paper. they will have to bow down to government at the end of the tussle.

But one thing I c about this taxify policy on zero charges on cancellation is that, ita their strong strategy to grab d market and thats d reason they have lots of riders they understand the market very well. So i dont see them scrabbing it not now not in the nearest future. But they only thing is they should look for a balance for drivers as well because it doeant make any sense after driving for a long distance inly for rider to cancel on u. Its totally wrong
