Truly age is just a number with the Vibrant and well experienced Tamarakuro Pere-owei Forteta who has taken Burutu LGA by storm. The people of Burutu LGA are no strangers to his assiduous nature as he is the current special advicer on new electronic media/social media to the senator representing Delta South in the National assembly. The #NotTooYoungToRun slogan must not only be in words but in deeds and actions. It must carry the spirit and the letter of the hashtag. Save the future: Let Tamarakuro Pere-owei Forteta chair Burutu LGA The time is now to take a stand. The moment is this minute where we all must take hold of our future together. Standing together, standing strong, we can conquer the old folks. Let's begin it with Delta State. As the force to see Ebikefe aka Shine your eyes become Chairman of Patani Local Government Area, let same force see Burutu LG give the ticket of Chairmanship to Tamar. “With the effective date of this declaration, which is today, Tuesday, June 06, 2017, all Igbos currently residing in any part of Northern Nigeria are hereby served notice to relocate within three months and all northerners residing in the East are advised likewise. We are hereby placing the Nigerian authorities and the entire nation on notice that as from the 1st October 2017, we shall commence the implementation of visible actions to prove to the whole world that we are no longer part of any federal union that should do with the Igbos. From that date, effective, peaceful and safe mop-up of all the remnants of the stubborn Igbos that neglect to heed this quit notice shall commence to finally eject them from every part of the North'' Arewa Youths Not a few Nigerians were sorely worried about the content of what the Arewa youths did early in the week. They called it the Kaduna Declaration. They had risen from a so-called meeting last Tuesday in Kaduna ordering the Igbos of South East origin out of “their land” with effect from October 1. They claimed that the precursor was the May 30 sit-at-home order declared by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South East. The Arewa youths explained that since the Igbos have been in the vanguard of breaking out of the Nigerian entity, they should be allowed to go, for once! The youths had made many other scathing remarks that are indeed provocative to the rest of us. In no small measure, the Kaduna Declaration re-awakened the pre-1967 emotions among many Nigerians. Nobody wants to remember the events that led to the destructive Nigerian Civil war. It is pretty certain that the bunch of hot-blooded Arewa youths who made the said declaration were yet unborn at the time of the Nigerian civil war. Rewind back to January 2017 when Pastor Owojaye Matthew a Southern Kaduna-based Pastor during the Apostle Suleiman vs DSS saga said: “you want to arrest Christian clergymen who asked Christians to defend themselves against killer FULANI Herdsmen while you allow hundreds of foreign FULANI herdsmen invading Nigeria to kill and maim CHRISTIANS and take over their lands! DSS, tread softly! Do not play into the hands of chaos! We are waiting for DSS to arrest the kill and go FULANI herdsmen!" The Buhari administration is literally playing Russian roullete with this matter. They are playing with fire and it may well end up burning them badly and consumming the whole of Nigeria. They are sitting on a keg of gunpowder and it may well end up blowing up in their faces. I weak for Nigeria abeg. |

Hmm, this goes to show the hypocrisy of the Muslim community in Nigeria. They feign ignorance to the killings being perpetuated by their brothers but are quick to shout foul when statements like this are made. Them go learn new thing very soon |

Technically, on election day Americans are not voting for the presidential candidates themselves, but 'electors', who pledge to vote for a particular candidate. In most cases the electors' names are not on the ballot. In nearly every state, whoever wins the most votes also wins all of that state's electors - who take part in a process known as the 'electoral college'. Each state has a different number of electors based on the number of representatives and senators it has in Congress, which itself is decided by the size of its population. A large, populous state like California has 55 electors, whereas a large, sparsely populated state such as Montana has only three. To win the election, a candidate must win an absolute majority of electors. There are 538 available in total, so 270 are needed to winThe process by which electors are chosen varies state by state. The electors meet in their state capitals on the Monday after the second Wednesday in December and - almost always - cast their ballots according to their state's popular vote result. The results are certified and sent to Washington. The new president is inaugurated in January. Why are certain states 'key battlegrounds'? The presidential race is usually decided in a few states which switch allegiance from election to election. These are sometimes called battleground or swing states. The swings are often down to changing demographics, or personal factors such as a candidate coming from that state or region. Capturing the electoral votes of just one or two of these states can be enough to tip a candidate over the 270 needed to win. Source: http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37249697

Good Morning, Yes I know its not throwback Thursday yet but the massive action of European Football across the Weekend have got me reminiscing. Just look at the crowd at a 1978 match between Rangers of Enugu and Bendel Insurance of Benin. What happened that in less than a generation our people lost their love for their own local leagues and became fixated on foreign leagues?
|
Despite arriving Brazil 5hrs to kick-off they still won. I'm certain years of going straight to the field with school uniform has prepared them for arriving late to a match. |
