The South West Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement has said a presidential aspirant of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, had become more popular than President Bola Tinubu in Osun State. Coordination of the movement, Alhaji Abass Olaniyi, in a statement, said Olawepo-Hashim had suddenly become so popular in Osun State that even President Tinubu cannot match his rising profile. Although Tinubu served as governor of Lagos State, his ancestral home is Osun State. Olaniyi said Olawepo-Hashim’s name had been on the lips of the people of the state. He added that the joke now making the rounds is that the presidential aspirant “could easily win a governorship race in Osun, with mischief makers even inventing a fake hometown for him.” Olaniyi added, “What began as a smear has gone viral and turned into free publicity. Dr. Hashim is the face of ideological politics in Nigeria. The PDP family in Osun stands firmly with him, and together with Governor Ademola Adeleke, he will help rescue Nigeria by 2027. “The enemies of PDP, who polluted social media with fraudulent claims to sow confusion, have only achieved the opposite. Their lies have strengthened our unity and projected Dr. Hashim across the South West, raising his profile “to high heaven.” He said thousands of Nigerians were searching online for Dr. Gbenga Hashim and discovering the impressive record of a man of courage, principle and vision. “This is a clear sign that the hand of God is upon him. Nothing can stop destiny. What the detractors meant for evil has only amplified his message and positioned him as the credible alternative Nigeria has been waiting for. “With the PDP united, and the people’s will behind him, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim is divinely backed to become the next President of Nigeria in 2027,” the coordinator added. https://leadership.ng/olawepo-hashim-more-popular-than-tinubu-in-osun-group/ |
Imagine an internationally recognized terrórist organîzation slamming INEC for recognizing the David Mark-led ADC coalition that’s exactly how absurd the APC’s statement sounds. Describing David Mark’s ADC leadership emergence as ‘shady’ is not just ironic, it’s laughable. His leadership was the product of due process and broad coalition consensus. Meanwhile, the APC has had four national chairmen in just two years rotating leadership like it’s a game of musical chairs. If there’s any party that embodies shady power grabs, it’s the APC. |

favor914:So you’ve finally admitted what we’ve been saying all along that Tinubu is a documented cónman, dlórd, identity thiéf, and certificate fórgér. The truth always finds its way out, no matter how much you people try to wrap it in propaganda. You can defend him all you want, but facts don’t bend for loyalty. |
CoronaVirusPro:Grateful for what, hunger, inflated fuel prices, or a collapsing naira? Tinubu isn’t fixing anything; he’s just repackaging failure with Propaganda You mention Nepal they’re revolting because of leaders like the one you’re worshipping here. Nigerians have every right to do the same. Support is earned, not begged for. Patriotism isn’t silence it’s calling out the mess you are defending blindly. God bless Nigeria because clearly, Tinubu’s government won’t. |
oyichi:him body go tell am. He should go and ask Reno Omokri, the rábble-rouser who has been desperately seeking Peter Obi's attention but has received nothing but silence, as though he doesn’t exist. They are just rábble-rousers |
esnbrutality:To add to this, Sowore said that Tinubu is a crim.inal. He is not the only one who has said this many others have as well. In fact, the late legal luminary, human rights lawyer, and activist Chief Gani Fawehinmi also stated that Tinubu is a crim.inal who ought to be in jail.
|
Scarrr:Obidients already knew that Tinubu was going to turn out to be a monumental disaster, so they were mentally prepared for it. But the Agbado crowd were busy building castles in the air, calling and ascribing to Tinubu, dlórd what he is not: a master strategist, a blueprint builder, someone who would assemble eggheads and the best brains, etc. That’s why his turning out to be a huge disaster hit you all so hard, into depression, anger, frustration, and hunger, leading to cries of 'ebin pa wa' and, in some tragic cases, suicide and jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge. |
favor914:Always getting triggered by truth Listen, no one is saying Tinubu personally pulled out the transformer or bypassed your neighbor's meter. But when a president campaigns on a promise as bold as delivering constant electricity, he’s not just making small talk, he’s taking responsibility for fixing a broken system. If electricity theft and infrastructure vandalism are widespread, what reforms has his administration put in place to curb them? Where's the accountability? Under Tinubu, we’ve seen more talk than action, no measurable nationwide improvement, no significant power sector overhaul, and certainly no 'constant electricity.' So yes, if he wants to be credited when things work, he should be held responsible when they don't. That's called leadership, not excuses. Not this gaslighting you are engaging and shifting blames |
What I know is that Tinubu said if he doesn’t deliver constant electricity, Nigerians shouldn’t vote for him when he returns in 2027. With less than two years left in his tenure, we are yet to see reliable power, not to mention constant electricity.

Ikaeniyan0:Senator Natasha’s suspension came from the Senate, not a court and it has already lapsed. Keeping her out now has zero legal basis. Being asked to apologize, a mere directive, not a judgment doesn’t erase her constitutional rights. This is a democracy, not a monarchy. You don’t silence a senator, and by extension her voters, over bruised egos. If Akpabio felt defamed, the courts are open to him. Funny how a woman speaking up is called wicked, but unchecked and unbridled power keeps getting a pass. And let’s be honest, the image of the Senate and Nigeria was already tarnished the moment people like Akpabio and Tinubu were allowed to become senators and president. |
Ikaeniyan0:That is very flawed . First, let’s get the facts straight: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension was imposed by the Senate, not a court of law, and that suspension has already lapsed. There is no legal basis for her continued exclusion from the chamber. Period. Now, to this your your "she was asked to apologize" claim, apologies don’t override constitutional rights or due process. This isn’t a monarchy where personal pride trumps law; it's a democracy. You don’t silence an elected senator and by extension, her constituents over ego. If Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan made accusations against Akpabio, the proper path is due legal process, not political punishment disguised as procedure. And let’s not pretend the justice system moves swiftly or without influence especially when high-ranking politicians are involved. Finally, let’s not ignore the bigger issue. Just as it was highlighted by the ADC National publicity secretary, Mallam Bolaji, only 4 women out of 109 senators, and one is being politically sidelined for refusing to bow to power. That’s not just stubbornness, it’s courage. What’s really stubborn is the refusal of certain power blocs to let democracy work unless it serves their ego. |

According to the UN, Nigeria was among the countries that recorded the highest numbers of grave violations, with 2,436 incidents. Attacks on schools in conflict zones around the world have increased by a “staggering 44 per cent” over the past year. Nigeria ranked fourth in the number of grave violations verified. Countries with the highest numbers of grave violations were verified in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory (8,554), the Democratic Republic of Congo (4,043), Somalia (2,568), Nigeria (2,436), and Haiti (2,269). UN secretary-general António Guterres stated this in a message to mark the International Day to Protect Education, commemorated annually on September 9. According to the UN, Nigeria was among the countries that recorded the highest numbers of grave violations, with 2,436 incidents. Mr Guterres, in his message, said that “each violation carries profound consequences, not only for teachers and young learners, but for the future of entire communities and countries”. The UN chief added that “no child should risk death to learn”. More than 41,000 incidents of violence against school-age children were reported by the UN in 2024. According to the UN, the attacks resulted in the death, abduction, and trauma of thousands of teachers and students. The UN chief’s Annual Report on Children and Armed Conflict for 2024 highlights not only an upsurge in attacks on schools. The report also highlighted a 34 per cent increase in rape and other forms of sexual violence perpetrated against children. In addition, the number of child victims of what the UN calls grave violations increased by 17 per cent as a result of abduction, recruitment, and other types of violence, characterised by the UN as “an alarming escalation in brutality.” With many schools on the front lines either closed or operating remotely, over 420,000 children attend school fully online, while one million use a hybrid model. Between January and July 2025, the UN and its humanitarian partners supported 370,000 children and teachers, primarily in frontline and host communities. Parties to conflict anywhere in the world are obliged under international law to respect schools as places of safety and hold accountable those responsible for attacks. “The pen, the book, and the classroom are all mightier than the sword. Let’s keep it that way and protect the fundamental right of every child to learn in safety and peace,” Mr Guterres stated. ......For Personnel On Operations According to details on the portal, the payment was made on October 26, 2023, to Danlokey Systems Limited. A SaharaReporters' review of the public payments portal, Govspend, has revealed that the Nigerian Police Force spent N22.282million on eighty-five cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits for its personnel on certain operations. In the first instance, the police spent N7.073million to purchase 25 cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits. According to details on the portal, the payment was made on October 26, 2023, to Danlokey Systems Limited. The description read: "Being payment for the supply of twenty five cartons of Cream crackers biscuits (Dry ration) for logistics requirements/consumables for personnel deployed to carry out discreet security ops and info gathering activities." With N7.073 million spent on twenty-five cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits, each carton would have cost N282,928. In another instance, on October 4, 2023, a sum of N7.073 million was again paid to Danlokey Systems Limited for the supply of thirty cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits. Tin The description read: "Being payment for the supply of 30 cartons of Cream crackers biscuits (Dry ration) for logistics requirements/consumables for personnel deployed to carry out discreet security ops and intelligence in Taraba State." On August 30, 2023, another N8.136 million was paid to Danlokey Systems Limited for the supply of thirty cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits. The description read: "Being payment for the supply of 30 cartons of Cream crackers biscuits (Dry ration) for logistics requirements/consumables for personnel deployed to carry out discreet security operations in Yobe State." In total, the Nigerian Police spent N22.282 million on eighty-five cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits, which means each carton across the three payments cost an average of N261,717. Previously, SaharaReporters had also revealed through Govspend records that the Nigerian Police Force paid N13.3 million for the purchase of twenty-four packs of toilet rolls. According to the descriptions, the payments were made in two tranches between April and July 2023 for Carla Rose toilet rolls. On April 21, 2023, the Police Formations and Command paid N6.558 million to Waves Fulfillment Limited for the supply of twelve packets of toilet rolls (Carla Rose, 48 rolls each per packet). Another payment of N6.8 million was made on July 27, 2023, to the same Waves Fulfillment Limited for the supply of "12 pkts of toilet rolls (Carla Rose 48 each per packet)." This means that between April 21 and July 27, 2023, the Nigerian Police paid a total of N13.3 million for twenty-four packets of Carla Rose toilet rolls. However, a SaharaReporters market survey revealed that the open market prices of Carla Rose toilet rolls were far lower than what the police paid. Checks on the popular trading platform Jumia show that "Rose Carla Tissue Paper Roll (one bag of 48 pieces) cost N55,000." On Konga, the same product sells for N50,000. At these rates, twenty-four packs of Carla Rose toilet rolls, each containing 48 pieces, should not cost more than N1.320 million. https://saharareporters.com/2025/09/09/exclusive-nigerian-police-spent-n22million-85-cartons-cracker-biscuits-personnel

osuofia2:How exactly is Sowore calling Tinubu what he is, a crim.inal suddenly 'pressing Obidients' buttons? Since when did stating the obvious become an Obidient agenda? Is this the first time Tinubu is being called a crim.inal? Please be serious.

But why are they all triggered by the fact that someone called Tinubu what he is? Is this the first time Tinubu is being called a crim.inal?

jamafa:You people act like Tinubu is above criticism just because he's your political idol. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Tinubu must be dragged, he's the president, and his anti-people policies are wrecking our economy, crushing the poor, and affecting our daily lives. If he wanted peace, quiet and not dragged, he should’ve stayed in Bourdillon, not Aso Rock. |
I thought they said he didn't raise the alarm. The kind of deceitfulness embedded in this Tinubu government is unprecedented. Is this how he built Lagos from scratch and laid the so-called blueprint? A blueprint of lies, falsehood, propaganda, and deceit. |
