When APC makes such statements, it is not in pursuit of good governance but an expression of its inordinate quest for power, sustained through criminal state capture, voter intimidation, electoral banditry, thuggery, agberoism, and, ultimately, the snatch it, grab it, and run away with it Tinubu way. Truly, Tinubu is Nigeria’s Paul Biya.

Interior minister Tunji-Ojo urges youths to persevere amid economic hardship Mr Tunji-Ojo said, “You are the keepers of the future. Your ideas, courage, conviction and curiosity will determine the direction of our nation.” News Agency of Nigeria • December 13, 2025 Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo receiving his award Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo receiving his award Interior minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has charged Nigerian youths not to allow the hardships of today blur their vision of the Nigeria they want to build. The minister gave the advice when he received the Award of Excellence in Public Service conferred on him by the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, on Friday, according to a statement. Mr Tunji-Ojo said, “You are the keepers of the future. Your ideas, courage, conviction and curiosity will determine the direction of our nation.” According to him, Nigeria’s future will be shaped by the level of unity, institutional reform and renewed national spirit embodied by its citizens. He said that the award carried a weight far beyond personal recognition, adding that it reaffirmed his belief that Nigeria is “rising” on the strength of its collective resolve. The minister reiterated that national renewal was no longer an aspiration but a journey strengthened by courage, faith and shared responsibility. “Let me affirm what I believe with all my heart: ‘Nigeria is Rising’, not because our challenges have disappeared, but because our resolve is stronger than ever,” Mr Tunji-Ojo stated. “Not because the path is smooth, but because our collective will refuses to bend, hence this award encourages us to continue on the path of national renewal with renewed faith, courage and hope. I remain convinced that Nigeria is moving steadily towards a stronger, more resilient future.” He commended President Bola Tinubu for providing the framework for institutional transformation through the Renewed Hope Agenda. He described the president’s vision as a mandate for efficiency, compassion and national confidence. Mr Tunji-Ojo dedicated the award to young Nigerians, civil servants, his family, and to Mr Tinubu, whose commitment to reforms continues to energise national renewal. He further expressed gratitude to OAU leadership for upholding a tradition of intellectual integrity and national service. He used the platform to reflect on key reforms he has undertaken since assuming office in 2023. Mr Tunji-Ojo reiterated that the automation of passport processes and backlog clearance has improved border management and enhanced professionalism in the Nigeria Immigration Service https://gazettengr.com/interior-minister-tunji-ojo-urges-youths-to-persevere-amid-economic-hardship/ |

Tinubu is using the same template here in Nigeria: emasculating the opposition, criminally capturing all state institutions most especially the judiciary and doing anything that will stand in his way to becoming the Paul Biya of Nigeria. In fact, what we are witnessing is a civilian coup d’état, grab it, snatch it, and run away with it. |

Ladiesdoctor:I’m not defending the late former President Buhari, but regardless of whatever damage his administration caused, it still cannot, under any circumstances, match the catastrophe Tinubu has plunged this country into. They are worlds apart. The two are not comparable. |
When Tinubu’s loot is unearthed, it will shake the very foundation of this country for decades infact, it will make Abacha’s loot look like child’s play. Tinubu has been looting the commonwealth of the masses for over two decades, starting with the Lagos State treasury. |
MaziObinnaokija:You are the joke here. Wike and Co. know that they have been expelled, and their letters of expulsion have been sent to them. They were expelled at the national convention, the highest decision-making organ of the party. No court can overturn that decision because it is purely an internal matter of the party. |
MaziObinnaokija:National secretary of Wike & Co caretaker Committee limited Put it appropriately |
Juv2:😁😁😁😁😁😁 |
Given the catastrophic state the entire country has descended into under his regime, it becomes evident, without anyone needing to tell you, that the narrative claiming Tinubu “built Lagos from scratch” was merely a well-orchestrated propaganda campaign, financed through the Lagos State treasury, which he has effectively controlled for more than two decades. |

tnerro1:Where exactly did you emerge from...Mars, I guess? You’re rewriting history with confidence but zero logic. You claim Fubara was mistreated by Wike as though Wike woke up one morning with supernatural powers. Where did those powers come from? Who gave him the audacity to undermine a sitting governor? Let me remind you, since selective amnesia seems to be doing rounds, Wike is the current Minister of the FCT. Ministers don’t suddenly develop federal-level political muscle out of thin air. His influence comes directly from the Presidency you’re busy polishing. If Wike wasn’t enjoying strong political backing from Aso Rock, do you honestly think he or his loyalists would have had the courage to openly confront a constitutionally elected governor? Absolutely not. You’re here praising gentleman agreements while skipping the most basic fact: the governor was weakened because the man fighting him enjoyed federal protection and political cover. If that’s your definition of honor, then Nigeria has a very interesting problem indeed. At the peak of the crisis, instead of the Presidency distancing itself or reining in or sacking the minister fueling the conflict, he rather illegally suspended the governor, deputy governor and the entire members of the state Assembly and appointed a sole Administrator with military background. Isn't that a coup d'etat committed against the people of Rivers state And about your claim that the PDP did nothing, they did exactly what a democratic party is expected to do: they went to court. They didn’t resort to anarchy, chaos, or threatened to form parallel government like the APC. The tragedy is that the institutions meant to defend the rule of law didn’t treat the matter with the urgency it deserved, allowing the creeping culture of impunity to thrive. Without the political cover from the Presidency, Wike wouldn’t have had the boldness to challenge or undermine anyone, least of all a sitting governor. |
HgAkpobomeEr:Any reasonable person should rather avoid the APC, a terrórist organîzation that have only succeeded in inflicting pains, anguish and hardships on Nigerians |
