Lithiumite:You keep talking about pedigree and CV credentials, but Nigeria doesn’t run on CVs it runs on numbers. And the numbers don’t lie. Under Muhammadu Buhari, Emefiele, over his full eight-year tenure, Nigeria borrowed roughly N75trillion in total. But under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in just two years he has already borrowed well over N90 trillion effectively overtaking Buhari’s total in eight years What is the money being used for? So the claim that Tinubu’s and his geng is somehow fiscally more responsible? That’s laughable unless you define responsible as tripling borrowing speed and doubling down while the naira implodes. If we were grading on discipline, not CVs. this administration is failing woefully and spectacularly |
At least, 30 women and girls have been abducted after armed bandits attacked Chacho community in Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Saturday night.https://dailypost.ng/2025/12/01/bandits-abduct-bride-bridesmaids-28-others-hours-before-wedding/

Lithiumite:Emefiele served the majority of his tenure under Buhari’s APC government. So if you want to blame him for economic mismanagement, you’re indirectly blaming Tinubu too, Tinubu brought Buhari and should share in the blame. It's the same APC As for Cardoso, yes, he headed Citibank but heading a corporate bank and managing a nation’s currency are two very different ballgames. Even with Emefiele’s flaws, he managed the Naira-to-dollar exchange better than Cardoso has in just two years. To be precise: when Tinubu took office, the Naira was officially exchanging at N460 to a dollar; today, after two years, it’s over N1,500 to a dollar. Numbers don’t lie. And your argument about Edun, Peterside, or Ali Pate? Being a marketer or investment banker doesn’t automatically make you a global economic heavyweight. None of them come close to the stature of Okonjo-Iweala or Adesina, which was the challenge to begin with. So yes, political patronage is exactly the problem, and throwing fancy CVs around doesn’t change that. And your argument about Edun, Peterside, or Ali Pate? Being a marketer or investment banker doesn’t automatically make you a global economic heavyweight. None of them come close to the stature of Okonjo-Iweala or Adesina, which was the challenge to begin with. |
Gunmen, terrorists, or bandits, which is it? The police need to be specific so Nigerians can understand the true state of our security. Ok it happened in Ogun, Had it been that it happened in Plateau, Kwara, or Benue instantly they are terrorists or bandits. Happens in the South-East, suddenly it’s IPOB. God help us |
Flangelo12:You didn’t deny that Tinubu redirected funds large enough to fix the power sector, rebuild the refineries, or fund healthcare into opaque security contracts benefiting those close to power, your only concern was the exact figure Atiku mentioned. It is well |
Lithiumite:You just proved the exact point you’re arguing against. No one said everyone must be a World Bank director, the issue is that Tinubu’s appointments are driven by political patronage, not competence. Edun was a state commissioner, not some global economic force. Cardoso was a commercial banking guy, a corporate marketer suddenly repackaged as a top-tier monetary expert only after Tinubu appointed him. Yet none of them including the ones you listed come close to the global stature of Okonjo-Iweala or Adesina. And that was the challenge: name one person in this government on that level. Just one. You still couldn’t. So instead you fell back on political patronage is normal. Exactly and that’s the problem. The ambassadorial list alone reads like a list of favours repaid, not merit-based selections. Meanwhile, the results speak for themselves: economic chaos, policy zigzags, worsening insecurity and declining investor confidence. That’s not the track record of a government filled with world-class technocrats. Until you can name that one global heavyweight, please spare us the lectures. Facts aren’t propaganda just because they hurt. |
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied claims circulating online that it has already picked a candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.https://dailypost.ng/2025/11/30/osun-elections-adc-does-not-hand-pick-candidates-spokesman-makes-clarifications/

The only truthful statement Daniel Bwala has ever made is the one below.
|
Lithiumite:Before you accuse anyone of typing gibberish, at least try to address the substance of the argument. A close examination of Tinubu’s ambassadorial list and, in fact, most of his appointments shows a clear pattern, political patronage over proven competence. That is not an opinion, it’s an observable reality. If you genuinely believe the administration is filled with technocrats, then do this very simple thing: Mention just one person in Tinubu’s government whose global credentials place them in the same league as Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala or Akinwumi Adesina of the PDP era. Just one. Until you can do that, please spare us the lectures about who understands the meaning of technocrat. The results of the administration so far, economic instability, policy inconsistency, insecurity and deteriorating international perception speak louder than any partisan defense. |
The drug baron never apologizes |
Just as someone stated above, that's their business. But, the obvious truth which no one can deny is that Tinubu has ruined this country. Tinubu hasn't improved on any of the indices by which a government is measured, whether unemployment rate, inflation rate, GDP, food prices, housing, or electricity etc. He has literally made them worse. Infact, the National Bureau of Statistics has practically stopped reporting unemployment figures because they are at an all-time high, which would obviously embarrass the Tinubu government and further expose its incompetence. |
WorldRichest:It's pathetic |
Tinubu took over and handed this country to bandits and terrorists |
Max24:Can we have the pictures |
gidgiddy:Terrorists and bandits are wreaking havoc in his backyard, but he is so fixated on Abia State. |
Max24:We have long gone past this stage; this was before the 2023 general election. Don’t drag us back. The elections are long over, and once an election is over, governance begins. Tinubu is president, and his policies, masquerading as economic reforms have caused untold hardship and strife for Nigerians. This is what we should be discussing, not a private individual going about his personal business. |
seunmsg:nobody is trying to control what you post. But if you put something on a public forum, don’t act shocked when people respond. That’s how discussions work. And if you truly believe this thread ‘isn’t about Tinubu’, then maybe stop dragging your irritation into every comment. I am simply asking for accountability from the party you defend so passionately. When it’s time to campaign, by all means go ahead, just be ready to actually list achievements, not this attitude you display here |
seunmsg:seunmsg, spare us the entitlement. Nairaland is a public forum, whatever you post with your handle automatically becomes everyone’s business. If you don’t want people responding, don’t post. Instead of guessing who may or may not join APC, channel this energy into telling Nigerians what Tinubu and the APC-led administration have achieved to deserve another vote. That’s the real issue here, not your political fantasies. |
This is obviously a thank-you appointment package to Yakubu for manufacturing the glitch that ensured Tinubu could grab it, snatch it, and run away with it. |
seunmsg:You didn’t read where he said he is taking a short rest from politics, yet here you are gallivanting around claiming he will move to the APC, even though he never said that. Why are you obsessing over Aregbe and his group when the APC isn’t even prepared for the Osun election? Who is the candidate for the APC? Channel this energy into telling Nigerians what Tinubu and the APC-led administration have done to deserve being voted for. |
A close examination of Tinubu’s ambassadorial list makes it difficult to escape the conclusion that his administration has little interest in delivering purposeful governance or enhancing Nigeria’s global standing. Across all the appointments made by Tinubu, not a single technocrat or credible expert can be found. It is therefore unsurprising that the economy is in tatters and that Nigeria’s stature within the comity of nations continues to deteriorate. Lastly, This is obviously a thank-you appointment package to Yakubu for manufacturing the glitch that ensured Tinubu could grab it, snatch it, and run away with it. |
Front0lane:Of course, Paul Biya of Cameroon and his protégé are being voted for, and that is what has made them remain in power for over 42 years. |
Mbanda:Are you implying that Okoroawusa is among the ‘My mama say I be Igbo’? |
And over two decades later, he had turned out to be the Paul Biya of Lagos State, refusing to relinquish power, suffocating the state, siphoning and milking the entire commonwealth of Lagosians for over two decades and counting, and empowering street urchins, thugs, hoodlums, and agberos. If only he had been stopped, Lagos State would have been free from his evil stranglehold.
|
Flangelo12:Bishop Kukah is right at the bandits enclave, he is probably afraid |
themanderon:The drug baron is merely fulfilling a prophecy that was foretold
|
Bhella5:Compared with whom? A man who couldn’t read the figures during his own budget presentation? Okpebholo is currently among the worst-performing governors in Nigeria |
Ttalk:I have yet to see Reno Omokri claim that he is from Delta State. Perhaps he said that before Tinubu became president, but since Tinubu emerged as president, he has identified himself as being from the Lukumi tribe. So maybe Delta State will have to send a nominee to the president, because at the moment, Delta State has no ambassadorial nominee. |
Richtaiwo:Richtaiwo, have some shame at least once in your entire life. Are you not qualified enough to be nominated? How long will you continue to defend the indefensible without receiving any reward for your sycophancy? Others are being rewarded with appointments, yet you are here shouting yourself hoarse. Have some shame, bro. |
Reno Omokri has yet to retract his statement in which he referred to Tinubu as a “known drug lord. Will Reno Omokri continue to dish out his nuggets of shiit now that he has an ambassadorial job to attend to?
