@ogagaejay

my profound gratitude to you for this vital, detailed info!!!!
Do not celebrate yet, I have good news and bad news. Good news first, as many that pass the exam will be offered a place. Now the bad news, the exam is no child's play, I can send your past questions.
Also, where will you stay for the nine months? The school won't give you accomodation. When you get to that point I will advise you contact anyone you know in germany to accommodate you or you can contact any Nigerian student u know in Munich or anywhere in germany, this is all I have. Gute nacht

I OFFER YOU 2COWERIES!!!!

going through admission procedure of LMU...it was stated that entrance exam is required, only at MUNICH, anyone who is currently at the school to help out on thishuh??
You are right, the admission process in some departments in LMU involves an entrance exam that is only done in Munich. I was invited for one of these departments Msc Molecular biology and biotechnology to be precise.
I will feed you in on the process.
First you will need to do the application. I advise you to first contact the course coordinator, upload and send to him your transcript, ask him to evaluate your transcript and let you know if you are qualified. If the result is positive, then you can apply for the course. After your application you will be sent an invitation letter which you can use to apply for a study applicant visa.
The study applicant visa is the same as a student visa. The process is the same for the application. It allows you to stay in germany for 9month so you will have enough time even if you fail the exam in Munich, you can still wait for other applications. When you finally secure admission you just continue with a resident permit without returning to nigeria or applying for another student visa
I hope this is what you need.

Williamso, some of my comment here Is out of anger, but then, u most get your facts right, being a native speaker is contextual, nigeria is not considered a native speaker in some countries but not Germany, u didn't miss your admission because u couldn't provide a language test, and u know that, anyway, I have enjoyed this topic. Wiedersehen
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by ogagaejay: 5:58pm On Sep 04, 2015
Williamso:
Your example to base for all schools in Germany is based on what a staff in Bremen told you? Or you do not know that the example I gave (RWTHA) is in NRW? Guy I'm not talking based on hearsay. I applied for MSc, and I did not write any test. Though I got some admissions, I know how many I missed because of lack of TOEFL/IELTS even when I had a proficiency letter from my school. AND RWTHAACHEN IS ONE OF THEM. So please don't say what you don't know.
Please take a look

@ogagaejay, in case you choose to quote me again, find attached a correspondence I had with OGVU, I hope you know that English is our official language in Nigeria, but we are not native speakers.

And this is just one of the many universities I can show you.
Williamso, u disappoint me, for your information nigeria is an English speaking country and is considered a native speaker of English everywhere in the world, do your research.

This your comment is seriously demoralising. How can you choose to make a very hasty generalisation about this issue just because of "a staff at Bremen". Is Bremen Munich? Is Bremen Aachen? Is Bremen Stuttgart? No. As should already be clear to someone like you who has passed thru the whole application process, every university has different requirements and even departments within the same university many times have different requirements. Logically you shouldn't come here to generalise crap like this.

I just hope that the guy you are advising would return to read HonorableSeyi's and Williamso's comments huh
This person is a part of the academic system and he has said that English proficiency letter from a student of an English speaking country that is course was done in english is as good as any English test anywhere in German for any university. It might not be stated that way in some of the universities' website
That was my point before williamso, stated saying things he is not sure of. When people make comment, they might be sure, and I was sure I was not misleading anyone
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by ogagaejay: 4:59pm On Sep 04, 2015
Williamso:
Now, unless you're referring to a particular school, this is the most misleading piece I have ever seen!!! I for one am 100% sure some schools (e.g RWTHA) will not consider your application without it, even if your cgpa is 5.0
You can say what you like, just to calm your nerves and let you know that I am certain, I was directed all through by a staff in Bremen, my uncles's neighbour in germany. He has said this just as I did, but honourableseyi pointed out that this may not be true for bsc and I agree. My brother it is not misleading.

Pls house I'm about applying for EBS business school Reutlingen university, after sending their admission office an emial and I got a reply on how to go about their admission procedures, they don't use uni-assist, and its a tutuion free university, on what I got from their admission office, lecture starts by march for summer, and lectures are taught in english, but my questions are:

Q1: is reutlingen a better place for study, work and accomodation?

Q2: do I still need to write any text of english exams since I have Waec and BSc in Finance with 2.42cgpa in Nigerian university? Cos I'm applying for bsc (second degree) and not msc?

Q3: after Q1 and Q2 have been answered, should I still apply for this school or let go?

Pls I need honest advice on this, Thanks expecting your reply.
Concerning the English test, you don't need it. Even if the university says you do, don't listen. I don't know why guys here are insisting you get it . Just get a letter from your school stating that your course was done in english.
The university I got admitted made it emphatically clear that I most provide one of the English test. I did not, I only provided a letter of english proficiency from my university signed and stamp. And I got admitted

Just something to consider. Germany doesn't fancy studying for the same degree twice, priority is given to those who haven't studied for that same degree. Some universities even impose school fee on those who have studied for the same degree. You will be considered for bsc but those with ssce will be given priority.
Another issue will be the years gap in your ssce and also since you will not be providing every relevant information concerning you educational level.
Because of these I would advice you apply for master programme. There is another issue with this too. Your cgpa is low. 2.4 used to be third class. I am aware universities in Nigeria don't accept third class
uniassist.ev made me understand that most universities accept. 2.5 and below German system,(which is 2.5 and above in the Nigerian system) also when the evaluation is being done allot of Nigerian courses are removed like the general studies. This makes our cgpa to be less than what it really is. That is to say you most have above our nigeria 2.5 to be in a safe position
My advice now will be, apply for master but do as much applications as possible , also do not bother applying for the summer because you might most likely not get it. So focus on the winter 2016 and do a minimum of 10 applications.

He couldn't have left his originals at the embassy, what kinda mature individual goes to an embassy and leaves his originals because he was asked to leave. if he was asked to leave, he still has the right to ask for his originals. I was asked to leave once. I still went and asked for my documents which I had left inside and I was given because it is my property visa or no visa, and I was given another appointment. I think we all should be mature even though this visa means allot to us.
I think what he should do is to go back to the embassy and ask for his document, no body will crucify him for that. It is my opinion, I could be wrong

Can we make Frankfurt naija commercial city, so we won't need to go to Germany. Since we could make heroshima a city in China. Let's make naija migrant bear the name Syrian refugee so they would be allowed into Germany. Since we could refer to world war 11 as heroshima war. Germany, we are coming?

There is a difference. We are acquiring an education and helping the economy by doing jobs that actually make a difference after our education in Germany. The little jobs that we do whilst studying are only to supplement our blocked acct or sponsorship, but in the case of Syrians most are only qualified for these little jobs.
Don't flatter yourself my brother, these set of Syrian ain't unqualified like you assume. The news says, they are highly skilled. And I know that is the qualification we are talking about. I know all is well. I have purchased a ticket that is to let you know my level of preparation. I only wanted my brothers here to be aware. But since they are highly qualified and are getting full employment maybe our problem might be after graduation not before. The only set of migrants who are not qualified are those from Northern and central Africa. The Syrians and Greeks came in grand style, that's one of the reasons they were accepted like the new said, there trip is very expensive. I don't know how though. They say it's brain drain, I don't know what they are draining?

The last time I checked, REFUGEES are not allowed to work LEGALLY... Though the need to learn German is very valid....
Just an observation though..I could be wrong.
There is protests against this programme presently in some places in Germany, if it is just for shelter and they are going to be repatriated there wouldn't have been any need for protest. migrant are being distributed all over Germany presently

Yes Asylum seekers are not allowed to work.
Hmm, refugees are not allowed to work true, there is a programme for these refugees, Germany is receiving 40percent of all the refugees in Europe, they are being absorbed into the system. Yes they are not just allowed to work on inception.

Would they accept cash? If yes, then paying them cash would be a better option, cos dollar is about 220 in d black market
Yes, they do, but very few airlines allow you to book without paying. and this would be my advise to those who would be buying later on .if the airline allow you to book and pay later on arrival, Please don't use a master card, pay cash.

Guys etihad is not what it may seem. I just bought a ticket for 574USD and I was happy thinking I have purchased a cheap ticket. On receiving the ticket I realized I have been charged 237naira to a USD which I had assumed won't be up to 200 per USD. I used a master card though. Union Bank Mastercard so I cant really tell who is charging me this high whether union bank or etihad airline . I am not sure union bank charge up to 200naira per USD.
