Oye50: I wanted to mention studies but I decided to leave it out. Since you ask I'll tell you Currently I'm doing very excellently well with my academics. Basically what I do is weekend jobs and I take up jobs at my free time cos there are a few flexible ones as well. I just tot of the advice that was why I came here. In Germany if you study you'll get good grades and I know God gave us the brains me inclusive. Thanks This is totally true, the courses are so easy here to be candid, but the problem will be you as a student, when you miss one class just one class, the chance of failing is already 70 percent. And you have to do much work to get by. I am very certain of this because I saw it in this semester exams. I don't know if the lecturers know those who doesn't come to class and those who does , which I am sure that they don't. But they seem to always fail. Maybe it is magic. |

Williamso: I would believe this post is strictly for humor purposes. You just can't be serious. So please oh great one, what is the Language in English? By your analogy, English is not a language, but the English Language is a language! WTF? English is the Language spoken by the English, likewise Deutsch is the language spoken by the 'Deutschers' (as you called it). Why is it called Deutschlernen and not Deutschsprachelernen? Or are you learning how to become a German?
I hope the last bolded part is not in anyway insinuating that 'Deutsch' and 'Dutch' are the same language because that would be taking ignorance to record-breaking heights We take it one at a time. Yes this post is for fun, but in between we could also learn and discuss. "...English is not a language". I never said that."...why is it called Deutschlernen " it is called Deutschlernen because the language is deutsch and you are learning it. English is the Language spoken by the English... originally yes. The people from Britain are also referred to as English. I don't think it is relevant nowadays. Just like it is not relevant to differentiate Sweden Austria, netherland, belgium and the other deutsch speaking countries. I know I will be getting your bullet in your next post . I am waiting.lol |

worry359: Seems to be someone who is ignorant of the English language trying to be clever about German! ! Are you so frustrated that you insult your parents? What a pity. I cannot accept that "Over secretion" affects black people because I am black . But why can't we be civilised, my God. Someone jumps in from the corner to say "...you are so stupid". because you say let's discuss concept. I would rather discuss with Williamso because he has something to contribute not you, sorry. |

Painpill: Lol idd. Funny enough someone said this exact stuff few day's ago though what she meant was "Dutch", the language of the Netherlands. But when my friends heard it they almost cried from laughter. I pray for the sake of God that's what ogagaejay meant Williamso: I don't get this. Deutsch is Deutsch and German is English. German is just the English word for Deutsch. It's just like saying there's a difference between English(English) and Englisch(Deutsch) or French(English) and Français(Français) we can also learn from this forum not only discussing visa . My respond, Germans are the people and not the language in English, just as Deutschers are the people in deutsch . And the Germanic language is called deutsch in deutsch and Dutch in english. Who is not laughing because I am. Lol So guys ,don't say you don't speak german, say you don't speak the German language or better still you don't speak Dutch or Deutsch |

As we wait for our visas. Food for thoughts. Guys, do you agree that the difference between deutsch and german is similar to pidgin English and English? I don't agree, do you? |

doubletroublmum: Im living in northrhine-Westphalia. Since there are many foreigners here is a bit better living here. But the mood is tense every where, because so many refugees are coming over. Germans are worried and it looks like they are going to make immigration more difficult, cause they are changing the immigration law now little by little. My advice, learn the german state in Deutsch not Englisch, like north rhine westphalia is Nordrhein-Westfalen. And Bavaria is Bayern. Most Germans don't know the Englisch form for their states. Please learn the deutsch form so you don't get confused when you come to germany. |

The guy in-charge said he's been on some(though,it involves dolls not euro) for some weeks now... So he said its a 50-50 thing... When i quizzed further about money gram, ria and western union, he said the said amount(8040) is too much for such transfer. I don't have an acct with them, had to collect the opening acct form. Any luck with yours? You can send that amount with money gram, but you split it in two. |

weirdarkhitekt: Thanks for this boss. So how do we prepare to make the most of our degree programmes?
Those of us going for masters, what is the most significant difference between the method of studies and education in Germany and the way we are used to in Nigeria?
Can you explain the biggest challenges you faced, educational and otherwise, because everything affects your education last las!
Please do a follow up to your post for us to benefit and have the right mindset The greatest challenge I face is wanting to make millions, of expecting to much monetary wise. Don't come to Germany to hustle, come to Germany to study. Some guys here were always complaining that they did not come here to read many books, others were complaining that they had not got a mini job and they are spending their money, "...account dey go down oh". So we were reluctant to go for classes. When you miss one class you compound your problem. Basically I try to make friends with girls, I mean the german girls. They seem to know how to get past questions and study materials. It helped be allot and is still helping. And thing I have notice in the aspect of exam questions, there are similar to the Nigerian system, they repeat the past exam question all year round |

femo86: Anyone in University of Cologne? How's the student life, job prospect and living in Cologne? asking for a dear friend. Thanks Please guys forget about job prospects, everyone gets a job here. The job is not so important because the money is meager 450euro for a month.not matter where you are you can go anywhere you want. Concentrate on the study. I want to see naira landers asking about the workload and how to cope. Ask questions like how do we cope and get good grades. Do you know if you are among the first five in your class you automatically qualify for a scholarship here in germany that you did not apply for? I want to learn German for job, I want to skip classes for job. These are not important. Follow the routine. Concentrate on the study. Even if you can't get a job, the government is there for you as long you are getting the grades. There are emergency funds for both local and foreign students . I do a mini job, guys here say you should learn German, very good. I will still say if you cannot afford it and your study is in english, come to Germany and learn free just like I did. Before you programme ends you will speak good German. For a job well, you might be lucky to get one like me, what is important is after school. The job is peanut. After school is the main thing and you need good grades for that. Please be wise guys. I do not know anyone who couldn't get a job and because of that got frustrates because of money. But I know allot of people doing another master because the first one was nothing to write about

femo86: Please to those that are using naira mastercard in Germany, what is the maximum amount of euros you withdraw per day via ATM? I have the master cards of two banks gtb and union bank. The rate is crazy, the last time I tried it for someone here. I lost, because it was higher than I anticipated, my advice is start searching for the euro from the black market in Nigeria and start real quick, because I smell doom, the rate is going higher in the second. Our president can't read, even the summary of the budget he could not read, I am ashamed of my country. |

Is it possible to present my sponsorship letter to the VO on my interview day/date that i booked with my Block Account
please it is urgent...i plan booking tonight..

I wan't to make it emphatically clear to applicants especially those applying to TUM that I have not encourage anyone not to send his or her sealed document when he or she is asked to do so by the university. This doesn't unrule the fact that I was admitted in my time. It only means that I might just have been lucky. Please do not send me PM concerning this matter. You are supposed to send your document when the uni ask for it. I hope this post clarify it for everyone. We are not children and should always know what to do. Good bye for now my compatriots |

adeyegus: Bro On my tum portal, they put a deadline for the submission of the sealed certified copy which is 29th of dis month, do u tink I shud stillstill wait till they decide on my admission or I shud go ahead and re certify it to send to them. Thanks The same thing they did in my time. It is good you send it, but if you don't the process still continues, and you will still be considered like every other person. Because in my time was considered like every other person and I was admitted too |
Travel › Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by ogagaejay: 10:29am On Jan 17, 2016 |
adeyegus: Eke, I applied to tum but I was sent a mail that some of my docs lack seal after certifying it at a court, so I'm asked to resend it before 29 of this January. Please do you know if that has anything to do with me getting admitted to d school. Pls enlighten me bro, Thanks I will say you take a pulse and wait until after the admission decision. If you are admitted, you can come with it to Germany during enrolment. I had the same issue once. I was admitted but was told that my sealed document have not been submitted. What is important is that they now have your documents to proceed with even if they won't accept it for school documentation. |

I think the issue is the bank. The bank most be operational in Germany. In all case, you can always turn to the embassy for first-hand information |

Masterkraftt: Hello 'Germanians'
Time to come off ghost mode and kudos to everyone.
To the guys already in Germany, please could you confirm if Deutsch bank allows students make withdrawals above 670€ per month. Reading the terms on the blocked account opening form, seems to suggest a restriction of some sort. Most of the monthly 670euro goes for your rent and monthly health insurance payment. You will be left with far below 670euro to withdraw. So, sorry you cannot withdraw up to 670euro from you db account unless you have more in it, or you didn't withdraw the leftover of the previous month. I hope this is the info you need. Ciao |
