@ ogasir, there's more you need to learn about business and trading. hoarding can be likened to arbitrage and its a very good way of making huge risk-free return. keep a massive reserve bought at a subsidized price and sell at the market price after subsidy removal.
Hoarding can only exist for a while, because competition will definitely be a determinate factor for price in this case-

I believe you don't have roof in your secondary school or all your teachers were all on sabbatical leave for the period of 6 years you spent there.

Since the petrol station dealers  knows that once subsidy is removed, the marketers will sell at any amount. then the quantity the petrol stations have left can equally be sold at any amount. so they will hoard it or keep it ( if you don't understand the meaning of hoard) to make 1000% profit.

your comment shows that you are not business inclined. There is a strong relationship between PRICE, DEMAND and SUPPLY.
So where does Hoarding come in Mr. Economics
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity To Be Experienced Across The Country By Next Week. by ogasir2011: 10:31am On Dec 09, 2011
I don't see how removal of fuel subsidy can lead to scarcity, removal of fuel subsidy is not synonymous wit scarcity ,it will only lead to price increase.

Since the importers will not get subsidy for the importation of Petrol, they transfer the burden to the consumer which is an increase in price.

Inasmuch as i don't support  Fuel subsidy at this time cos of lack of the appropriate  structures on ground, we should avoid rumors that will lead to panic

purchase which will in turn soar prices above market forces (demand and supply) prices.

Ipad is just overrated. It is so so limited. As some one said: all apple products are virtually the same, they just come in diffrent sizes and names.
ComputersRe: Ipad Versus Samsung Galaxy Which Is Better? by ogasir2011: 7:21pm On Dec 01, 2011
For Ipad lovers and Users, its good u have it. But it does not meet my need I bit. The playbook is 120% perfect for me.

Nairalanders, don't buy tabs becos pple have bought them, identify you needs and go for the one that suits u.

Any review done here is primarily the view of the user of the tab.

So don't buy a device and regret.

Go on google type: ipad vs galaxy tab vs playbook vs zoom vs kindle fire.

You will get website the will compare this devices side by side.

Which ever suits u buy it.

Over and out!!!

The Playbook, uses the same subscription with your blackberry phone- using the bridge facility. and browsing is fast, showing u complete web pages. the playbook is multitasking- u call run all application simultaneously, still maintaining its fast processing speed

For Existing BB users: Blackberry Playbook is the BOMB
ComputersRe: Ipad Versus Samsung Galaxy Which Is Better? by ogasir2011: 6:05pm On Dec 01, 2011
The Blackberry Playbook is Cheaper, better, than Both the ipad and Galaxy tab

Playbook:
I cannot sell to you for 50K, My price is not negotiable for people just buying 1. I have been able to sell at N60 000, which is a fair price in my view.
I agree with you @PLAYBOOK, that price is really fair, I am in Kaduna and i have been selling Playbook 16gb for N75,000 and the demand is very high. Demand for Playbook is getting higher cos more pple are understanding the Device, cos of the cheap maintenance in terms of subscription.

I advice anyone dat wants a tablet to get a PLAYBOOK now because within the next 3 Months the price of a Playbook 16gb can get as high as 100k

But if Seun want to use their work commecially, then it is complete rip-off, and taking advantage.

Seun: The fact that 3 pple will win cash prices does not mean, ppl that Will come 4th to , nth their work will not valuable to you.

U don't have to be a UBA account holder to get the card, it works on all the hosting website I have used, the good thing is dat you can check you statement on line you can transfer money to another UBA africard holder.

You can withdraw money frm the ATM both local and internationally . Work better than GTB master card.
NB: you cannot link the card to paypal

BusinessRe: Ban On Use Of CBN's Dollars By Oil Companies by ogasir2011: 8:49pm On Oct 07, 2011
This will be the best, thing Sanusi will do,if it comes to effect.

Now wat that means is dat, Oil companies will no long bid for Dollars from Central Bank, proceeds from their Oil exports will mean, they don't have to bid for dollars at the DAS(Dutch Auction System)- this is a System that CBN use to sell dollars to BDC,Oil Companies,Govt etc Thru Commercial Banks.

Oil Companies over the Years happen to be the bigger buyers of Dollars at the DAS. Higher demand for the Dollar means weaken of the Naira( demand and supply theory of economic).

Now if CBN enforces this transaction dynamics for Oil company this will mean that buyers of their crude will pay the Oil company dollars directly into their accounts, meaning they don't need to bid for dollars at the DAS, in that case their bankers in the Nigeria don't necessary have to to pay the Oil companies in Nigeria wit dollars, they pay them equivalent in naira. In a case the oil company need to transact with other foreign banks, the commecial need not go to CBN to bid for dollars to consumate their transactions. They money in their account is already dollars so there wire it straight.

The benefit to the economy:

Less demand for Dollar thus strengthening the naira.

The only pple that will be bid for dollars will be individuals(BTA,PTA); importing Companies (Form M). Government also fall under (PTA and BTA)

With the advent of Dual currency VISA and Mastercard( cash less economy by 2012) the demand for PTA and BTA will automatically reduce.

This will further improve the naira.

For the case of importer( Form M) the big banks in Nigeria Have Branches in CHINA,USA,South Africa etc so when in importer want to buy from such contries they don't need to bid for dollars(they simply process the form M, and pay the expoter in the equivalent of the local currency).

With all these the dollar will gradually begin to weaken, because the demand for it will fall.

GOOD MOVE FOR NIGERIAN ECONOMY.
