I think there will be a sell pressure… until an equilibrium is reached
Exactly that is why I see people rushing to buy now as missing the expected price dip after listing. But they should be fine if holding for long term

More so as most investors of TIP PO has made over 3x already
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m): 7:55pm On May 14
Wow I can't wait it has done 3.5x already from 9.5 PO . Some PO Na goldmine,

TIP will make alot of smart investors multi millionaires

Latest by 14th June it's listed

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m): 2:29pm On May 14
This stock will shut down Ngx.

Be prepared

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m): 5:55pm On May 12
TIP should list their PO on NGX I want to check something as it is racing to 50. grin

Imagine something sold for 9.5 PO this January, so someone that bought 1m units @ 9.5m may have made 50m or 41.5m profit just like that by the time it's listed hmmm. Money is easy to make if you have capital and smart.

If this is sustained TIP may even touch 100 in less than 2 years

I am rebalancing my portfolio to have fewer stocks, I decided to remove some companies that are overlapped in banking and insurance sectors and keep only the leaders (e.g. GTCO, ZIB, AIICO etc.) in the sector. Which of these 11 do you advise I should keep.

1. Africa Prudential
2. ASO Savings
3. Industrial & Medical Gases
4. Legend Internet
5. Regalins
6. Royal Exchange
7. Veritas Kapital
8. Sovereign Trust
9. Fidelity Bank
10. FCMB
11. Sterling Bank

Thanks.
Educate yourself more on stock investment, there is nothing to keep here in my opinion lipsrsealed
CultureRe: Eating At Funerals Is Wrong by ogawisdom(m): 2:40pm On May 12
DanOkonkwo:
This is my opinion regarding this matter, going to eat at funerals is not appropriate. A place of funeral is not a place of celebration or feasting but a place of solemnity but unfortunately some persons or most cultures has made it a must that food of assorted kinds must be prepared and people MUST eat.
I think that this part of our culture must be looked into, because I cannot imagine a family that is struggling to make ends meet still mandated to go through hell to provide a big burial where food must be cooked and served, just to bury a loved one.
There are even some that even go about in the community looking for funerals ceremony just to find where to eat and even go with extra.
Well if a man has the money to spend lavishly or call the community to feast in a burial, it's up to him but this should not be a rule.

What do you think?
It should be optional especially for a struggling family but some culture will still force them to borrow or postpone the burial ceremony. Its a show off thing now in Igbo land, people kill several cows so that they will be held in high esteem for giving their loved ones "a befiiting burial". its okay if one is wealthy but should be optional for the poor, though no one will agree they are poor.

If you have MTN shares, quickly sell. Oshiomhole just said on Arise tv that nationalization will happen
Funny, MTN is not going anywhere, do you know their contributions to Nigeria's economy?

You do not hit your balls to kill mosquito that is on it, it is handled with wisdom otherwise you create a bigger problem

FamilyRe: What Is The Mindset Behind Complaining Of Poverty Yet Continuing To Have Kids by ogawisdom(m): 7:22pm On May 09
ClassicEvilSpir:
Several times, I've watched videos where the woman (or man) would describe how they are facing poverty with their children, how they can't even find a place to stay because they can't afford it, yet proceed to have even more kids.

I am a student, I make good money (Nigerian standard), yet I can't imagine caring for 1 child with my finances. However, people who earn less than one tenth of my monthly profit continue to have kids.

What is the mindset behind this?
They are usually their only escape plan from poverty , the ignorant believe is that if one no make am another go make am when the children are plenty. This is without training any properly grin

2000 happened too fast

Zenith below or around 100 is possible before July.

Presco below 2000

NAHCO around 180
TIP around 20
The excitement season gives way

I am waiting to strike

Poverty mentality, even my 14 years old son could afford these things.
It only makes sense if you can afford them without working, that is you have accumulated investments producing income to afford them.

And if you do anyhow and the can needs engine or gear replacement. Or there is an accident that is enough to park it for 1year if you are not financially strong .

Fuel and oil change costs are now beyond an average man's capacity even for corolla

An eye for an eye will make the world go blind but SA govt is indirectly supporting the barbaric actions of its citizens.

It is also concerning that a South African Company is number 1 in Nigeria in mobile communication yet they feel we are useless to them.

They are here making a kill while they won't allow our people earn pea nuts in SA

I hope you know how this concerns you as an investor in MTN.

Those are the types of elected representatives you have. Withdraw license of a company that employs Nigerians in Nigeria and has no ties to the rogbodiyan in SA. undecided

MTN and Zenith Bank dividend alerts landed safely. Ended my day with alerts and a big smile. Nothing beats a substantial credit alert especially earned passively.

Oshiomhole wants FG to withdraw the licence of MTN BC of maltreatment and killing of Nigerians in South Africa. Hmmm

Mistakes

1 What is he doing with 6 children, 1 or maximum of 2 should have been enough.

2. So he has fleet of cars and built a mansion and he didn't invest even if it's 10 plots of land for his retirement.

3. Children are not retirement plans, it's a costly mentality to plan your old age around your children. Some may genuinely not have to give you and may even still depend on you partly, see as Naija be now lipsrsealed

4. The man was reckless about his old age and was bound to suffer, how does anyone live today without planning for tomorrow? More so someone that made money in his prime but wasted on wife and children.

Action plan for others - Make it as a rule that at least 30% of what you earn between age 25 to 60 must be invested for your old age (61 - 100).

Though they are not in the same sector to compare. How much was Dangote eps.
Presco is sting with dividend from #120 eps
They could have paid upto #70
Excellent business with excellent numbers but premium valuation. Dividend yield about 1.94%. very stingy, Na dividend paid be the real matter & the ultimate way to show value. Other things can be cooked, pay well to prove you have confidence in your income generating ability.

The trader that rushed to sell Aradel at sub 900 in January how are you feeling now lipsrsealed

Some stocks are never for sale because you will never be able to buy them again anywhere close to initial point.

Aradel is shocking me daily, I have not bought the quantity I want and every day it looks like I may not be able to increase my holding to the quantity I want. Something I bought 500 in July 2025, Chai making money is very easy if you have enough capital base. Imagine a whale that invested 500m in Aradel at 500, instant billionaire in few months.

I never expected aradel to cross 1500 until October. Now over 2000

Another power house about to explode is MTN, 2000 is not impossible by October not forgetting my darling TIP but TIP will come down after listing RI n PO

This is exactly why the Nigerian market wont grow or become more efficient

Sometimes its okay for companies to face the brunt of their actions
It's shareholders that will lose their capital and those with hbp will enter stroke and die. They saw crypto market or forex where you can gain or lose over 100% in a day but choose NGX.

But I understand your point, the protection makes some business owners careless about shareholders. Tony and UBA would have been 50% down by now without it n UBA clearly sub 30.

Does he even understand that some people pay rent and school fees with dividend, imagine someone with 1m units of UBA worth 55m and he gets zero final dividend after rubbish interim dividend. The person may even be dreaming of at least 6 naira or 6 million dividend and then this shocker.

VFD Group is desperately fighting a losing battle against gravity.
The same insiders who dumped on you before the rights issue have now laid bare the deep rot and fundamental weaknesses in your organization. The situation has deteriorated so badly that you’re reduced to patching your balance sheet with commercial paper.
Market gravity is waiting to punish you, and it’s coming hard below ₦10.00.
I exited all my previous holding when it got to 14 in February in profit and planned to buy again if Q1 is impressive not their last flat growth. Presently have units gotten from right issue and their fate will be decided if Q1 shows significant earning and revenue growth. Opportunity cost is important to me.

If Q1 is not impressive, VFD group may go below 10 or even after QD

We really need to allow market fall and rise as the markets wants..

#NO10%Rule
You wan kill people by turning it to shock market. I like the 10% rule Biko. I don't want anything rising or falling above 10% in a single day.
