I don’t know why you and Lalastiklala are replying that dumb ass BRATISLAVA or whatever the name is on this topic.

It’s clear these are the people that don’t see anything wrong in giving birth to many kids without a plan to raise them. You can’t afford the next meal yet you are giving birth to 5 kids and one idiot doesn’t see anything wrong in this?

I am bored of impacting common sense into these lots. Nigeria will never get better trust me. These people are the majority.

grin grin grin

No matter the size of hammer you use you won't succeed in impacting sense into a pathological fool.

See there is this stupid mentality about having too many children in Africa, they are:

1. Have many children so that if A no make am B or C or D or E or F go make am grin grin grin the poor man believes that having many children increases his chances of breaking free from his generational poverty. If A no marry rich man B go marry rich man is also part of the plans grin

2. Children are retirement plans of their parents angry sad sad. Parents believe that having many children makes it possible for them to enjoy their retirement as all of them will be sending something home monthly including the in laws for the girls grin

You will hear something like I am taking care of you so you will take care for me in old age. It's almost like a contract signed and sealed therefore many parents have no other retirement plans but their poor children earning less than 50k monthly.

I have nothing against giving to your parents even when struggling but parents should have retirement plans and don't depend on their children totally as the load won't allow the children to grow financially.

Parents hand over the welfare of their 6 children to the first born who earns 100k monthly making sure his head will never be above poverty line.

These are the reasons why a poor man believes in having many children and they are in the majority as you pointed out.

Poor people have generational poor mentality, habits, believes and lifestyle that is why it looks like curse because everyone in the family follows same pattern until one person takes a different path to change things.

i didn't say the family is not suffering from poverty. POVERTY is written all over them, but from OP story even their father's family are completely poor. Don't you think family or generational curse might be affecting them also?

Generational poor decisions, actions and poverty habits not spiritual curse.

Wealth is mostly earned not given. All his problems are that of generational poverty.

Until a member of that family does something drastically different he will not escape the poverty chain in their generation

I know it's lack of money majorly but family curse maybe part of it.

Nothing like curse, it's purely the crippling effect of poverty.

Poverty can chain a family for several generations until someone breaks it.

If someone sends OP to USA to stay, within 10 years he will banish poverty in their family, then he will know it is not a curse.

Rule 1 - A man from a poor family should not marry early esp when he is not financially independent and should have few (say 2) children when he does.

It's not a curse

Look at the abject poverty setting

Your dad is not financially stable and he married a petty trader. Now as if that is not enough he had 5 children. What is he doing with 5 children. 2 children should have been enough.

Lack of proper planning especially when one is coming from a poverty background will lead to a frustrating and miserable life.

Poverty is deadly and limits people for several generations until someone breaks the chain by doing something different in the family. It takes special talent sometimes to do that like music, football (or a bad boys - yahoo, drugs not advocating this pls).

The coach should change osimen by 60 mins

We need to give a good account of our chances.

We need to try other strikers, osihmen is not giving a good account of our chances.

Hit target let goal keeper save it first

heykims:
I hope guys aspiring to come UK are aware of the new immigration rules that will take off in April.
It makes it very difficult to remain in UK even after your 2yrs post graduate visa as one will need a very high paying job to remain the UK which in reality is not achievable except for a lucky few.
The popular route to remain was the care sponsorship but its regulation is now very stringent and now with a care visa, u can't bring in dependants again once the policy is implemented in April, so the route is a no way for a family oriented individual.
So anyone that gets a care sponsorship after April won't have dependents. It's quite bad that for a student presently in the UK with his dependants, if he gets care visa sponsorship after April, the dependants won't be covered and would need to return back to Nigeria.
Please let's reason am well before we japa o.

Can someone come to UK with 6 months visit visa and search for job sponsorship in tech field and stay on . The person has someone in UK to sort out accommodation already

Make sure you are keeping your money in USD, it's heading to 1500 then 2000. It makes me serious cash with each upward movement but I am worried about the inflation it will cause.

If you thought 2023 was tough you will be shocked by 2024 under Tinubu.

RETURNOFENDSARS:
I'm a lawyer, called in 2016. I'm married with a kid and I'm in my early 30s. My wife is not working, so I have been the one shouldering the responsibility, despite that, God has given me my own house. Three bedrooms flat in front and three bedrooms flat at the back, all with full pop, water heater, full tiles, in fact all the modern facilities.
In all honesty I made between 600k-1.5m per month.

Just of recent, the zeal to Japa to Canada has been on my mind through school route. I currently have like 7m in my account and I know I could raise it till 15m before the end of the year. The cost of schooling keep giving me issue. How will someone travel abroad and spend over 15m when I could used the money to buy hostel from people who desperately needs money or invest in real estate.

Another concern of mine is that the future of legal profession is reducing because of the amount clients are paying particularly in the area of agreement and other things.

Definitely, I won't be selling the house if I decide to relocate, the rent from the two flats will go to my mom and the least could only be 500k per year. I won't have issues sending money at home.

Please, I really need advice from lawyers that are there, how do you cope migrating. Is it advisable I leave, if yes, what are the first things I might encounter, if am relocating it will be with my family. I just don't want to regret relocating. The exchange rate is just too much

If you can afford it leave now

Inflation is already at 29%

USD @ 1300 heading to 2000

The earlier the better
