Kesta22: Please house I placed a bid to sell my UBA shares by exactly 10am this morning. but when I opened the sell order it is showing executing but below there is a message showing “(308) minimum prize step 0.05 step”? Second question why did the stock go down to 49.50 before the market opened today before 10am? Any advice on how to go about successfully selling my stocks today? You are on the queue, did you see the millions of shares on offer, you won't sell until there is sufficient bid to get to your turn n price. Pray a whale comes so all of you can dump and go elsewhere. Till then wait and review your price as appropriate daily. |

10% rule is saving grace for most NGX stock as human emotions change with time. Otherwise UBA would have gone 50% down today. Without this 10% max rule, stock market in Nigeria would have been shock market What is pushing TIP further up any news on listing their PO |

megawealth01: Ok oooooo
I sold ALL my zenith shares LAST WEEK without waiting for the dividends
I sold the last batch yesterday maybe they will pay me dividends sha but if not we move Really may be you are a trader who doesn't care about dividend and you timed your selling well. The dividend hunting traders will crash the price between Mon to July. You will still have the opportunity to buy back sub 100 if you want. Zenith may not get this high again till October. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m): 5:42pm On Apr 25 |
megawealth01: If zenith retrace sha no run 😂 I am even praying for Zenith to crash to sub 100. It can never get to my break even price of 64 again even if a recession comes. But sub 100 is very likely and I am waiting to buy more of its share at sub 100 . Mark down will take place on Monday triggering the massive offers as traders would want to take profits quickly before it goes further down in May, June n July. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m): 10:08am On Apr 25 |
Tony invested your dividend in seplat, make una calm down. I sold off all my UBA and GT bank shares around October last year and put everything in Zenith at average cost of 64 , today that decision is legendary as Zenith has proved its worth. Zenith is my only banking stock. I am not even happy it's flying too fast as I am hoping to buy more sub 100 in May, June or July. |

I’ve been on their books for a long time, and I’m heavy there. That may be a factor. . Just received my UCAP dividend, well done |

Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, the MD/CEO of Zenith Bank, is projected to earn ₦2.51 billion in dividends from her shareholding in the bank.
This highlights a simple wealth truth:
• You don’t get rich from salary alone
• You build wealth through ownership
• Dividends are rewards for holding strong assets
Zenith Bank continues to deliver strong returns to shareholders, making it one of the most rewarding stocks on the Nigerian Exchange.
Lesson: Own assets that pay you consistently. That’s how real wealth is built.

Monibabakan: Some of us had the same assumption when we sold UCAP @ sub N10, NAHCO @ sub 30 and Fidson at sub N20, Chams @ N0.23k, just to mention a few, then and hoping to re-enter, the rest they say is history Best wishes anyway You got the message wrong, no one is telling you to sell and re -enter a quality stock, it never works for a stock one is holding for long. I am only talking about an opportunity to buy more for less. Keep your holding tight and prepare to buy more for less soon post qualification date. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m): 4:37pm On Apr 10 |
Stockhunter: Anyone that has zenith below 100 is better off holding on to it. Dividend base for next year is already 12 naira minimum. Forbearance is clear and manchester and kenya expansion will improve their book this year. Dont fear the supply. Rather gather money and enter if it nears 90 to 100.. if you ever see it there. A solid stock no doubt and I am well invested in it . All I am saying is that an opportunity to buy more of it for far less (below 90) will certainly come in may or June. Be prepared! Once the noise settles, dividend Hunters will provide crazy supplies (65m offers vs 3m bids) that will certainly drag it down to below 90. Interim dividend is still far away alot will happen before October in terms of price action. Bank shares always have excessive supplies |

KarlTom: You seem hellbent on pulling Zenith down to ₦90.
We are watching closely... Stock market has regular pattern it follows most of the time because it's human behaviour at play and human behaviours rarely change. |

jonnysessy: If you want to pick 🍒 ( fundamental sound stocks). Just watch out for when the qualification dates has passed. Dividend investors will leave the stocks in droves to go and position in another which the qualification date has not reached, thereby leaving a promising stock battered, blue and black. You that is there for the long term will have opportunities picking such stocks at a bargain price.
Also, stocks that fail to live up to expectations in their dividend announced also suffer such fate. It doesn't mean the stock suddenly becomes bad but in our clime we love dividend. The stock maybe a growth stock that want to plough in back earnings. Just watch out and hold some cash. Opportunities are abound in every season in the stock market. Once, the dividend frenzy end everything will stabilize.
Lesson learnt: Alway have some emergency funds set aside, you will always see opportunities. Cash is King. Spot on, the supplies will soon hit Zenith Bank after qualification date. Bank offers are usually crazy you will see 45m offer vs 5m bid lol, It will settle below 90 say 85. MTN is still stubborn refusing to go below 700, sentiment around MTN is very strong with many buyers waiting to take up every price dip. Ucap touched 15.85 today and i scooped some, same stock ppl were fighting to buy above 18 before qualification date. |

Though this one may be from proceeds of corruption.
But as an investor, when will you be able to make this kind of statement based on your passive cash flow.
That will be the real soft life not really meaningless luxury possessions when you are still not financially independent.

debeey87: BEP price here is 26naira. Dividend yield around 38% based on my BEP. Highest dividend spinner in my bag. Will definitely re-invest this one if they pay as much as 10naira although the Unaudited FS puts the EPS at 9.24 naira. Don't see how they're paying more than their earnings on top the jara bonus. Okay I thought their EPS is 11.95, it's actually 9.24, 7 and above is a more realistic dividend |
